If you’ve spent any real time farming Lumber for Player Housing, you’ve probably caught yourself doing the same thing over and over: flying a bit, glancing at the minimap, correcting your direction, then doing it all again five seconds later. It works, but it’s clunky, and over a long farming session it gets tiring fast. That’s where FarmHud comes in.
What FarmHud Does
FarmHud takes your minimap and pulls it into the middle of your screen as a transparent overlay—giving you the information you need right in front of you while you move. Navigation feels much more natural. You can follow your route and gather your nodes, all without breaking your focus, or retracing your steps.
In short, FarmHud helps you:
- Keep your eyes on where you’re going instead of your minimap
- Follow farming routes more clearly
- Avoid wasting time retracing your steps
Using FarmHud with GatherMate2
FarmHud is useful on its own, but it really comes into its own when you combine it with GatherMate2 and Routes.
GatherMate2 collects and records the locations of gathering nodes, including Lumber. Routes then lets you connect those nodes into clear, efficient farming paths on the map. When you use all three addons together, these routes and node markers show up directly on the FarmHud overlay.
For players who like to plan their farming, or who regularly gather multiple resource types alongside Lumber, this setup makes a noticeable difference.
