Starting June 17, every class in World of Warcraft is getting a brand new out-of-combat healing spell that’s surprisingly cozy!
With the Legacy of Arathor update, Blizzard is adding in a small but incredibly handy quality-of-life feature: Recuperate!
This isn’t a raid cooldown, it’s your personal, low-effort healing solution between pulls, and it might just replace your leftover feasts and vendor cheese!
What is Recuperate and Why Does it Matter?
Recuperate is a universal spell that appears in your spellbook as soon as Patch 11.1.7 goes live. You don’t need to learn it, just drag it to your action bar and you’re all set!

When you use the spell, your character spawns a campfire and flips a pan like they’re about to cook some Dragonbreath Chili, and slowly regains health. It doesn’t restore Mana, so Mages are still the kings of full recovery, but for everyone else, it’s still a very efficient way of restoring health out of combat!

Limitations to Keep in Mind
The spell only works out of combat, so don’t expect it to save you mid-pull!
