The following guide offers a content breakdown for Legacy of Arathor launching on June 17, 2025.
Introduction
Legacy of Arathor launches on June 17 in North America and on June 18 in Europe.
Main Features
The content update brings new features. Keep in mind some of the features will be available at a later time in the patch cycle.
- Arathi Highlands Campaign: A new campaign featuring Faerin, Danath, and Gey'arath with unique rewards awaits.
- Lorewalking: Revisit major lore moments with Lorewalker Cho through repeatable story-driven quests.
- Overcharged Delves: Tackle new delve affixes and unlock an upgradeable belt and perks in a new trait tree.
- Single-Button Rotation: A new Accessibility feature that casts your entire rotation at the cost of a global cooldown.
- Turbulent Timeways IV: Six-week Timewalking rotation including Battle for Azeroth dungeons!
- The Greedy Emissary Event: The Diablo 4 x WoW crossover event returns July 1 with Legacy Loot boosts, new mounts, recolored Tier 2 sets, and more!
New Arathi Highlands Campaign
Tensions between the Horde and Alliance are flaring, and players will join familiar faces like Faerin Lothar, Danath Trollbane, and Gey'arah to help keep things from escalating!
While we will not go into spoilers, players who complete the new campaign will receive the Rise of the Red Dawn achievement,
alongside the following cosmetics: Lamplighter's Pauldrons,
Stromgarde Tabard (Alliance) and
Hammerfall Tabard (Horde).
Lorewalking
Lorewalking gives players the opportunity to relive the most important lore in Azeroth's history. In this patch, you will play through key storylines like Arthas's fall, Xal'atath's past, and the secrets of the Ethereals.
Overcharged Delves
A new hard mode for Delves with new traps, rares, and a trait system that can turn the new hazards into advantages, if you play it smart. Players will also unlock an upgradeable belt that will increase in item level over the course of the patch.
Single-Button Assist
The Single-Button Assistant is a new Accessibility feature that casts your entire rotation with a single button, but at 0.3-second global cooldown cost. You will not be pulling top-tier parses with it, but that is not really the point. It is about lowering the barrier and making the game more accessible.
Turbulent Timeways IV: Battle for Azeroth Joins the Rotation
Turbulent Timeways is back for another 6-week rotation, this time, Battle for Azeroth makes its debut. Players can complete six BfA dungeons and there is a new Timewalking vendor located in Boralus and Dazar'alor, offering new rewards. Completing the Turbulent Timeways offers the dragon mount with a pirate hat you see in the image below.
The Greedy Emissary
The Diablo 4 x WoW crossover event returns. This time, players can earn a new mount and buy recolors of the updated high-definition Tier 2 sets that were available during the WoW's 20th anniversary event celebration.
