An interesting post has been making the rounds over on X today—an image apparently taken from a class survey currently on the Battle.net launcher.
The survey asks: “Which of the following concepts do you find most appealing as a potential new class Specialization in World of Warcraft?” The following options are then listed:
- Healer Hunter
- Support Priest
- Ranged DPS Monk
- Tank Shaman
- Tank Rogue
- Ranged DPS Priest (Holy)
- Support Paladin
- Tank Warlock
- Ranged DPS Death Knight
- Healer Mage
Devourer Demon Hunter
The upcoming addition of Devourer makes this survey leak all the more believable. Devourer is the long-awaited third Demon Hunter specialisation coming with the Midnight pre-expansion content update on 20th January.
Midnight: Embrace the Void with the Devourer Specialization
Introducing the Devourer Demon Hunter, a third specialization that utilizes the power of the Void instead of Fel, like other Demon Hunters. This glaive-wielding, soul-harvesting, and planet crushing spellcaster operates from mid-range with the full suite of mobility you’d expect from Demon Hunters. Use specialization and Hero Talents to augment your playstyle, enabling you to dive into melee and unleash devastating combo attacks.
Have Blizzard Already Tested These Specs?
Blizzard may have already been testing some of these specialisations internally—in particular, the Healer Hunter. A Blizzard post back in October featured the image below, showing updates to default raid frames, alongside a Hunter with a Healer symbol.
Whilst there has been no official word from Blizzard on this, it is fun to imagine what some of these new classes could look like. Which new specialisation would you most like to see brought to the game?
