Blizzard just published a new blog post going over one of the available campaign paths in World of Warcraft: Midnight, and this one is all about Arator.
If you choose this route, you will travel with the son of Turalyon and Alleria Windrunner on a quest tied to relics of the Light and his own place in the story.
Light-Focused Questline
At Alonsus Faol’s request, you recruit Arator for a new questline that sends you across familiar parts of Azeroth. The goal is to recover relics once used by priests and paladins at the Sunwell.
But this is not just about relics. A quick read through the official blog post makes it rather clear that this campaign path is also about Arator himself. His connection to the Light, his family legacy, and the pressure that comes with both play a big role here.
Blizzard highlighted some of the locations you will visit:
- Light’s Hope Chapel
- Scarlet Monastery
- Hammerfall
- Blackrock Mountain
The journey also introduces the Arcantina, a neutral gathering spot for Horde and Alliance, and rewards such as the 
Relinquished Scarlet Charger mount for completing the quest Relinquishing Relics.

Join Arator for a New Journey in Midnight
One of the available paths through the Midnight campaign, players will undertake a new questline alongside Arator, son of Turalyon and Alleria Windrunner. At the request of Alonsus Faol, you’ll recruit Arator for this continent-spanning adventure to seek out relics of the Light used by priests and paladins at the Sunwell when their reserves run dry.
Arator’s mission brings new experiences to familiar locations, all while he takes another kind of journey grappling with his relationships with both his family and the Light.
Oh, the Places You (and Arator) Will Go
Here are just some of the places you’ll travel to:
- Seek out relics of early paladins at Light’s Hope Chapel and defend it from Scourge attack.
- Fight through the darkened corridors of Scarlet Monastery to put to rest those who would use the Light for their own hateful deeds.
- Work with Sunwalker Dezco in Hammerfall to help Arator discover the paladin he aspires to be.
Arator’s story reaches its climax in the shadow of Blackrock Mountain, where alongside the Sons of Lothar he must face the weight of his father’s legacy and decide once and for all which path to take as a servant to the Light.
At the end of your journey, you’ll also encounter the Arcantina for the first time. It is a refuge for the weary, gathering spot, and tavern to both Horde and Alliance. You’ll also have the opportunity to claim the ground mount, the Relinquished Scarlet Charger, as a part of your journey when you complete the quest, “Relinquishing Relics“.
Whichever path you take, all roads lead to an impending confrontation with Xal’atath and the Void. We look forward to seeing you in Azeroth!
