World of Warcraft: Midnight adds a lot of new toys to the game, and one of them is a small gadget with surprisingly useful utility. The item is called M3DDY, and it allows any player to trigger a mass resurrection without needing Engineering.
You do not need to craft it yourself either. 
M3DDY can simply be purchased on the Auction House, which makes it accessible to any player who wants to keep one ready for emergencies.
Even better, you can drop the robot during combat. Once the fight ends, it revives everyone nearby.
This is great for quick wipe recovery, but it can also help with dungeon skips or any situation where your group needs to get back on its feet quickly. Want to skip a trash pack? No problem. Want to help the healer out so they can drink instead of resurrecting anyone? Well, if a pull starts going bad, do your healer a favor and place down Meddy.
How the M3DDY Robot Works
Using the item summons the robot after a five-second cast, and the item is consumed when used.
Once the robot is active, it waits until combat ends and then casts a mass resurrection on nearby players. The range is very large, similar to mass resurrection spells of around 100 yards, so it can easily cover most raid or dungeon wipe locations.
There are a few important limitations, though:
- You must summon the robot before you die, otherwise it cannot be used. The five-second cast also means you need a short window to place it during a fight.
- Another risk is that the robot can be attacked and killed. If enemies destroy it before combat ends, the resurrection never happens.
- After the mass resurrection completes, the robot explodes and disappears.
Even with those limitations, M3DDY can still be very useful.
At the very least, it might be worth keeping a few M3DDYs in your bags. When something goes wrong during a pull, having a backup mass resurrection ready can save a lot of time.
