With Midnight launching in less than a month, Blizzard are doubling down on nostalgia. A newly spotted World Quest on the Beta is the latest example, offering a familiar experience that players will instantly recognise.
In a nod to TBC’s Sunstrider Isle, Classic Threats requires players to collect 6
Lynx Collars and slay 10 Arcane Wyrms. This World Quest reflects the first few quests from the original Blood Elf starting zone.
Rather than reinventing the wheel with Midnight, Blizzard are embracing what players already love about the game. Midnight’s main city hub, a fully reimagined Silvermoon, already sets that tone. This extends to the expansion’s rewards and activities, from revamped Paladin Chargers, to the return of HD versions of iconic armour sets.

Midnight may be a new expansion, but everything so far suggests Blizzard is intentionally keeping the heart of TBC-era Silvermoon alive.
