Some players have been unable to get the The War Within Meta-Achievement
Worldsoul-Searching because of the world quest Grub Run.
Players have been noting on social media and on forums the world quest remains bugged. It hasn’t been seen since November 18th on NA and November 19th on EU.
There’s been no public word from Blizzard on the state of the quest and why it hasn’t appeared. Players who have submitted tickets had GMs confirmed that the quest is not spawning as intended and it is a known issue. Forum posts as recently as two days ago have been discussing the world quest.
Further adding to frustration is that the meta-achievement didn’t officially release until Patch 11.2.7 on December 2nd. Players who have been grinding for this achievement since it officially released haven’t had the opportunity to complete it. If you missed this world quest, you’re out of luck for now.
One World Quest to Finish it All
Grub Run is a world quest that is needed to unlock a chain of achievements, all related to
Worldsoul-Searching.
Grub run, along with Worm Sign, Sealed, Delivered and Wormcraft Rumble are required to complete
Worm Theory.
Worm Theory is needed to complete
Azj the World Turns.
Azj the World Turns is needed to finish
You Xal Not Pass.
You Xal Not Pass is needed to finally finish
Worldsoul-Searching.
For some, this world quest is all they need to unlock all four achievements, and get their
Geargrinder Mk. 11 mount and the
Drained Dark Heart of Galakrond, and the
[PH] Shadow Elemental (Black) mount from
You Xal Not Pass.
Should World Quests Be A Part of the Meta Achievements?
Grub Run is renewing a conversation about whether world quests should be a part of meta achievements, because of their random nature. The Battle for Azeroth meta-achievement
A Farewell to Arms has several world quests as part of its achievement as well, such as Getting Out of Hand for
It’s Really Getting Out of Hand and Sandfishing, required for
Adept Sandfisher.
Some players are suggesting world quests involved in meta achievements should spawn more consistently instead of by random chance.
And others don’t mind them, as they feel it’s like less of a grind than doing dailies for several months.
What do you think? Should world quests be removed from meta-achievements? Or is that just a part of the challenge?
