The War Within Patch 11.2.7 Guide (Features and Content Overview)

Patch 11.2.7 is the final patch of The War Within expansion. It will release December 2, 2025, in North America and one day later in Europe.

The most hotly-anticipated features of this patch are likely to be Early Access Player Housing and the updated Brawler's Guild, but there are a number of other events and updates also coming to the game with 11.2.7.

There are just two notable dates to keep in mind as Patch 11.2.7 approaches:

• December 2: Player Housing arrives for anyone who has pre-purchased the Midnight expansion.
• December 2: Most other content arrives alongside Player Housing.
• December 9: The Brawler's Guild reopens after a long hiatus.

Lorewalker Cho will have some new Lorewalking opportunities for players, beginning with several Blood Elf-specific scenarios and ending with the creation of the Void Elves.

Whether you are a brand new player or someone finally returning after a long break, Blizzard has committed to streamlining your experience getting acquainted (or reacquainted) with the game. New players will find that Exile's Reach now flows much more clearly into the Dragonflight story; returning players can make use of the new Assisted Highlight system to re-learn their characters alongside Jaina and Thrall in Arathi Highlands, or play through an accelerated War Within recap.

Pandaren are the latest race to receive their Heritage Armor questline, beginning with the quest Invitation to the Spirit Festival from Ji Firepaw in Orgrimmar, or the Alliance version of the quest from Aysa Cloudsinger in Stormwind. The armor comes in three different colors: blue Tushui for Alliance, red Huojin for Horde, and the neutral Wandering Isle variant. The questline also rewards a toy, Festival Hot Air Balloon.

Players who have pre-ordered any version of Midnight are granted access to the Housing early access features, which include the following:

• New Housing Tutorial
• Room Layouts
• Room Decoration
• Decor Collections
• Rewards from Legacy Content
• Profession Rewards
• Neighborhoods
• Guild or Charter Neighborhoods

Shadowlands is the newest expansion to receive a Timewalking update, complete with three new mounts, several toys, and a new pet.

Turbulent Timeways returns with a brand new achievement and mount option, and an extended ten week Timewalking schedule!

Patch 11.2.7 brings with it some basic UI updates, including:

• Cursor appearance and functionality;
• Gameplay tutorial improvements;
• Item Comparison UI updates;
• Single Button Assistant Press and Hold options.

Blizzard has added a few more old currencies to the Warband-transferable list in 11.2.7:

• Order Resources
• Apexis Crystals
• Veiled Argunite

This is a welcome change; many incoming Housing Decor items will need to be purchased using old reputations and currencies.

Danath Trollbane has been standing in Dornogal, repeating the same line over and over again, since Patch 11.1.7 arrived in May! In fact, someone even wrote an addon just to shut him up. Thankfully, Senior Quest Designer Keith Riley co-announced that he has introduced a new option that reminds Danath to stay quiet.

The Brawler's Guild has been closed for quite awhile now, but it finally returns, reopening the week after 11.2.7 goes live. New features include two new mounts, several new mechanics, and a new Achievement: Brawl Star.
