When Blizzard showed off Player Housing at Gamescom 2025, a Christmas tree decor item was included—and WoWDB’s Housing Hub lists it as coming from the Winter Veil event. But now that Winter Veil is live, many players have noticed: there’s no tree in sight.
So what’s going on? Some suggest that because Player Housing is still in early access. Blizzard might be holding back time-sensitive decor items until the feature officially launches. That said, as MrGM points out, the decor collection system is available to all players right now—even if you haven’t preordered Midnight.
No need to fret through. Reddit is overflowing with players showing off their homemade Christmas trees. Clearly, the holiday spirit is alive and well, even if the official tree isn’t.
We could eventually see the Winter Veil Christmas tree pop up as one of the gifts under the tree—but by the time we can open it, it could be a little late!
