Yes, Horrific Visions Cosmetics Are Timegated—Players Face Another 3-Week Delay

Staff's Avatar by Staff

A month-long wait and now another timegate! After a month of waiting for Horrific Visions to go live in Patch 11.1.5, players logging in today were met with another timegate:

Torie, the Displaced Corrupted Mementos vendor does not allow cosmetic purchases unless the Hourglass of Horrific Visions talent tree is maxed out, which will take 3 weeks!

This effectively answers what everyone feared in our previous article on the subject.

What’s Actually Timegated?

In order to buy items from Torie in Dornogal, you will need to have earned the We Have the Memories iconWe Have the Memories, but you can’t unlock all the talents in the Hourglass of Horrific Visions on Day 1. Instead, you must wait 3 weeks.

A Frustrating Situation After Blizzard Promised Better

This comes just days after Senior Game Director Ion Hazzikostas admitted Blizzard “got the balance wrong” with Patch 11.1.5’s rollout and pledged to avoid future delays of this nature:

“We’re going to listen, we’re going to learn, and we’ll try to do better next time,” he said in an interview with PC Gamer.

But for players, “next time” has already arrived, and it doesn’t feel much different.

Will Blizzard Address This?

So far, there’s been no official blue post or confirmation from Blizzard about whether this timegate will be addressed. However, with player feedback already mount, a hotfix could potentially be rolled out later today to fix the issue.

For now, though, the timegate stands…
