You Can Re-Kill LFR Bosses to Farm Cartel Chip Quest Progress

Liberation of Undermine Raid Building

A helpful Reddit tip recently confirmed something many players did not realize: even if you have already looted LFR bosses for the week and completed your Turbo-Boost: Powerhouse Challenges quest, you can still go back in and kill those bosses again to finish other characters’ quests or catch up on alts.

Loot rules still apply; you will not get any additional gear from the same boss that week, but kills still count toward quest progress, including for Puzzling Cartel Chip catch-up. This means you can farm LFR repeatedly to fully complete weekly quests, especially if you are behind or just getting started.

Great for Catch-Up and Alts

This works great for:

  • Alts that need to catch up on Cartel Chip quests
  • Players who started late in the season
  • Anyone wanting to finish the Dinar reward track quickly

If you do not mind running LFR a few extra times, this gives you an easy and repeatable way to get your weekly progress done, even if your loot lockout is used up.

A Few Things to Know About LFR Right Now

The Reddit thread also included some helpful extra info and observations from other players, such as:

  • Some bosses only drop 3–4 items, even with a full 25-person group
  • Gear in your Warband bank counts toward LFR ilvl requirements, so some low-ilvl players are sneaking into queues
  • LFR loot is mostly irrelevant right now compared to Veteran/Champion gear, Delves, and crafted gear
  • Many players run LFR for transmog, not upgrades
  • Dinar quests can be completed in LFR, and then you can buy Heroic versions of items right after

Getting What You Want

Loot competition in LFR is still a little rough, since anyone can roll Need. If you are after a specific piece:

  • Buying with Puzzling Cartel Chip iconPuzzling Cartel Chip is usually more reliable
  • Guild runs or premade groups can give you better odds
  • If you mostly care about Transmog, you might want to prioritize bosses with more drops

In Short: You Can Re-Kill, But You Will Not Re-Loot

You can kill LFR bosses multiple times in the same week to progress your Puzzling Cartel Chip iconPuzzling Cartel Chip quest – even if you already got loot from them earlier that week. The boss kill still counts toward the quest, but you will not get any additional gear from that boss unless you are on a fresh loot lockout.

So if your goal is catch-up progress, not loot, this method works perfectly. Just queue up, kill what you need, and repeat as needed – no need to wait for a weekly reset.
