Here comes a brand new Midnight comic, ahead of patch 12.1’s release on August 11th. We have another look at Amani culture, focusing on Zul’jan and Zul’jarra. There’s a motion comic version on YouTube, as well as the full comic in PDF format. The YouTube version is read by Zul’jan’s voice actor, Yeukayi Ushe.
The comic itself is split between Zul’jan’s memories of his childhood and the present day, where he is being guided by a mysterious troll figure, pulling him away from both his sister’s path and the Loa themselves.
The young Amani troll, Zul’jan, finds himself caught between his people’s fading legacy and the dangerous temptation of ancient power. As memories of his childhood clash with the harsh realities of the present, Zul’jan is guided down this new path by a mysterious mentor, exploring his grandfather’s legacy, fractured loyalties, and the promise of a new Amani rise—but it remains to be seen whose benefit this journey is truly for.
