Zenless Zone Zero just dropped a new drip marketing, and this one is honestly one of the best additions to the game because our Billy gets to finally shine!
Meet Starlight Billy, the S-Rank version of Billy Kid, and yes, it is exactly what it sounds like: Billy, but louder, cooler, and somehow even more chaotic.
The official teaser leans fully into his personality. He introduces himself like some over-the-top superhero, immediately cringes at his own intro, then panics because he is running out of time to pose.
It is peak Billy energy.
“Just a Starlight Knight passing through!” Starlight – Billy
“I bet you’re dying to know who’s riding this absolutely sick, insanely cool, straight-up illegal-levels-of-awesome motorcycle?”
“That’s right — it’s me! Billy Kid!”
“Ugh, Wait a sec, this intro’s kinda cringe… I was tryna go for something way cooler and more hype with like explosions and AHHHHH is my time almost up?! O—Okay, I gotta strike my coolest pose!“
Other characters also give a bit of context:
- Nicole casually implies he probably blew money on some ridiculous collectible again
- Lighter hints that this new form was not exactly unexpected, but still surprising in some ways
- Nekomata gives his gear a 0/10 because it still cannot dispense fish
And somehow, all of that tells you exactly what kind of upgrade this is.
Early Kit Details
From what is currently known, Starlight Billy is an S-Rank Physical Rupture agent, but he is not just a standard Rupture Agent. Right now, in the beta, there is one big difference, and this is the way his Sheer Force scales and converts:
- His HP → Sheer Force conversion sits at 0.12, instead of the usual 0.1
- Meanwhile, he currently does not seem to convert ATK into Sheer Force at all
That is unusual, since this is not exactly how other Rupture agents work, and it is unclear if this is intentional or just missed out in the beta. If it stays, it would make him scale very differently from other Rupture agents and potentially push him into a more HP-only focused build than expected. This would also mean that ATK buffers will have very little value for him.
Even with the weird scaling, he will likely still follow standard Rupture logic for now:
- Drive Discs: Yunkui Summit set
- Supports: Lucia and Pan Yinhu remain the go-to options since they actually buff Sheer damage
He Fights With a Motorcycle
And this is where things get even better. Leaks show that his “weapon” is basically his motorcycle. It does make sense lore-wise that he owns a motorcycle since he used to run with the Sons of Calydon, but gameplay-wise, it is definitely a unique way to fight.
From early animations, we can see that:
- He parries using the bike
- He straight-up kicks it at enemies
- Riding it in combat seems to drain his HP
- He can generate shields
- There is also a heat gauge mechanic he builds and spends

For now, Starlight Billy feels like one of those characters that could be a really unique Agent with a fun kit. With beta still ongoing and not much information on his kit, it is probably worth waiting before drawing any real conclusions. Still, he might already be one of the most entertaining agents to play.
