Version 2.5 of Zenless Zone Zero just went live today, and that means you can finally get your free Zhao! If you have not grabbed her yet, now is the time. She is a top-tier S-Rank agent and can become one of your best supports for a lot of squads.
Getting her without spending a Polychrome is a huge bonus.
How to Obtain Zhao for Free
To unlock Zhao, all you need to do is just:
- Reach Inter-Knot Level 8+
- Complete the Prologue: Intermission
- Log in after the 2.5 update and before the end of version 2.6, and you can claim her directly
Once unlocked, you will also get plenty of upgrade materials to level her up to 40, including Denny and Certification Seals.
So both new and returning players can get a lot out of this as well. It is a great chance to get a good support without grinding or spending anything.
Zhao will not be available forever for free, so you want to claim her as soon as possible:
- Start: December 30, 2025 (live now)
- End: End of Version 2.6
- Rewards: Zhao (S-Rank), Advanced/Basic Defense Certification Seals, Official & Senior Investigator Logs, Denny
Zhao is a powerful support for your squads that can provide universal buffs that will benefit a lot of teams, so do not miss out on her! On top of that, if you planned on getting Ye Shunguang, Zhao will be one of her best team members as well!
