Following yesterday’s marketing for Seed, today the Zenless Zone Zero team have unveiled another new agent from the Obol Squad. This time, Orphie & Magus! Orphie (full name Orphie Magnusson)’s model has already been revealed in-game when exploring the Hollows but now this serves as confirmation that she will be playable in version 2.2!
For those unaware, Magus(the tail) is actually the captain of the Obol Squad, with Orphie simply being an underling. We also know that Magus is able to take control of Orphie at times, with Orphie being quite a timid Agent we can assume that Magus will be doing the actual fighting in-combat.
No 3D Animation This Time?
Perceptive fans were quick to notice however, that the marketing for our new Duo does not feature any 3D animation as with Seed yesterday. Causing some fans to speculate if Orphie could be an A-Rank agent as a result?
That being said, this is unlikely the case. The pattern for Agent drip marketing releases in Zenless Zone Zero tells us that any Agent with an animation (historically a L2D animation) is an S-Rank agent. While just a static image, such as with Seth’s marketing, means that they are an A-Rank agent. Of course, this could be changing but it is more likely that the Zenless team is simply trying something different to see the reception. It may also be because no one has seen Seed before so the team took the opportunity to also showcase her model.
