Looks like New Eridu’s customer service just got a little more dangerous. Hoyoverse has officially introduced Dialyn, a new Physical Stun agent from the mysterious Krampus Compliance Authority, a faction that mixes polite smiles with ruthless punishments.
First teased during the “Memories of Dreams Bygone” 2.3 special program, Dialyn is already catching the attention with her charmingly unsettling attitude and ties to one of the most feared organizations under the TOPS alliance.
A New Physical Stun Agent
“A complaint? Hey, don’t get too worked up”
That is how Dialyn greets you in her Agent Record, offering “special services” to calm you down, though considering who she works for, it is best not to test her patience.
Dialyn belongs to the Krampus Compliance Authority, a new Faction under TOPS. Many TOPS groups usually chase profit or innovation, but Krampus serves a much darker purpose: enforcing the rules. When companies mix morality a little too far or cross forbidden lines, Krampus steps in to punish those who break the alliance’s code.
We have already seen one Krampus member before, Zhao, who earned the reputation of being a “disaster” within the alliance.
A Terrifying Faction
The name “Krampus” could not be more fitting. In old Central European folklore (Germany, Czech, Austria), Krampus was the creepy counterpart to Saint Nicholas. He is the one who does not hand out gifts, but instead showed up to punish the naughty kids during Christmas. The Krampus Compliance Authority takes that same idea. They are the ones who make sure everyone in TOPS “behaves,” even if that means doing it the hard way.
As for Dialyn herself, she is a Physical Stun agent, that basically means she is great at breaking through enemy defenses and keeping them locked down. Pretty fitting for someone whose whole job is about “correcting behavior,” right?
With Dialyn, HoYoverse is once again proving that even the most boring, paperwork-filled corners of New Eridu have something dark hiding underneath. Dialyn is definitely going to be another fun (and slightly terrifying) addition to the roster!
