Seed, the new playable Agent in Zenless Zone Zero, has received both an animated short and a character demo this week, giving us a closer look at her story and combat skills! She will be officially available in the next banner with Version 2.2.
Animated Short: “Love, Death & Constructs”
The first video gives us a first look into Seed’s emotional backstory. It portrays the bond between the mysterious young girl and the mechanical body she inhabits:
The world lies in ruins when she is found, and she is miraculously uncorrupted despite the dangers. Someone mentions she has no “heart.” It is unknown if this literally means she has no heart, or if it is just a metaphor meaning she does not understand emotions or basic social interactions. Seed Sir takes her in and cares for her, teaching her innocence and curiosity like a fragile flower.
She adopts the codename Seed and vows to take responsibility when her caretaker rests. But Seed Sr calls her “Flora.”
Character Demo: “White Scooter Demon”
The second video is a bit more fun and shows off Seed’s combat abilities! An armed group feel overconfident with their weapons until rumors of the “scooter demon” prove true.
Seed may look like a child with her scooter, but she quickly overwhelms enemies with swift, powerful moves.
