Arknights: Endfield Gets a Permanent Daily Challenge With Scaling Rewards

Arknights: Endfield is bringing more than just Mi Fu and Camille this time!

Gryphline has officially revealed Trial of Swordmancy, a new permanent gameplay mode that will become available on June 12. Unlike limited-time events, this mode is here to stay and offers repeatable combat challenges with daily rewards. Basically, you will always be able to play it, since it does not leave the game.

A New Daily Challenge Mode

Trial of Swordmancy takes place inside a special combat arena where you have to draw Dataplates before each run. Each Dataplate carries a Battle Point value, and the total points you accumulate determine both the enemies you face and the rewards you can earn.

Every challenge allows up to five draws, creating a risk-versus-reward system. If you draw stronger combinations it can increase the rewards you get, but it can also make fights much harder. Things become even riskier if your total Battle Points exceed 10. Doing so triggers a Data Overflow effect, increasing difficulty and even reducing rewards.

Rewarded and Free Modes

This new mode includes two separate challenge options.

  • Rewarded Trial Mode
    • Grants Wuling Stock Bills when completed successfully, but you are limited to 3 reward attempts per day.
  • Free Trial Mode
    • Challenges remain available without limits, but they no longer reward with Wuling Stock Bills.

You can also activate a Reward Doubling option before your third Dataplate draw. Successfully clearing the challenge after activating the bonus doubles the rewards earned from that run. The Dataplate deck itself will reset every three days, changing both available cards and enemy types to keep runs interesting and exciting.

Upgrade the Arena for More Rewards

Wuling Stock Bills earned from Rewarded Trial Mode can be spent to improve the Trial Arena. Upgrading the arena changes its appearance, unlocks visual upgrades around the surrounding area, and improves the rewards available from future runs.

The mode will also feature its own medals and achievements for those looking to fully master the system.

Limited-Time Event Launches Alongside It

To celebrate the release of Trial of Swordmancy, Gryphline is also launching a special event called Trial Algorithmics.

The event begins on June 12 and will remain available until Version 1.3 ends.

By completing challenges inside Trial of Swordmancy, you can earn additional rewards, including Oroberyls, Advanced Progression Selection Crates, Marks of Perseverance, and Advanced Cognitive Carriers.

The Trial of Swordmancy itself is permanent, but the extra rewards from Trial Algorithmics will disappear when the current version ends, so you should definitely try out the new mode as soon as it launches!
