Arknights: Endfield‘s latest Version 1.3 character trailer was supposed to highlight Mi Fu’s combat abilities, combo chains, and devastating Greatsword attacks, but instead, many players walked away talking about something far more unexpected.
Mi Fu smiled.
It may not sound like much, but for those who played Endfield since the start, we immediately noticed the small expression in the trailer. After all, despite appearing throughout the main story, Mi Fu has built a reputation for being one of the most serious characters in the game. And she definitely is not smiling much.
The Biggest “Lore Nuke” So Far
One of the most upvoted comments under the video joked that “Mi Fu being able to smile is the biggest Endfield lore nuke so far.” And I mean… they are not wrong.
Many other players agreed and pointed out that even if Mi Fu has appeared frequently throughout the story, she rarely shows much emotion beyond her usual calm, focused, and a bit angry expressions. Seeing her smile during the trailer ended up becoming almost as memorable as the combat itself.
She Also Looks Pretty Strong
Of course, Hypergryph probably intended players to pay attention to Mi Fu’s combat kit as well.
The 6-Star Physical Guard specializes in chaining multiple Battle Skill attacks together, building and consuming Vulnerability stacks before unleashing powerful finishing moves. The trailer highlights her ability to pull enemies together, launch them into the air, and keep pressure on targets through long combo sequences.
Mi Fu’s banner arrives on June 5 as part of Version 1.3, with Camille expected to run the second phase of the update.
