<p>Players have just gotten their first look at the upcoming Diablo 4 Season 11, and with every season comes a fresh wave of new items and balance changes. This season will be introducing a handful of new Uniques for every class, along with the usual round of skill and item changes.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">New Diablo 4 Season 11 Unique Items</h2>

<p><a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Diablo 4</a> has just unveiled several new systems coming with Season 11, introducing the return of Angel Hadriel and the long-dormant Lesser Evils. This season, Hadriel descends upon Sanctuary to aid players in the eternal conflict, bestowing powerful Divine Gifts to help them battle against the growing corruption.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What Are Divine Gifts?</h2>



<p>Divine Gifts are a new form of power players can earn and equip by confronting the Lesser Evils and completing endgame activities like <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/helltide-guide" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Helltides</a>. Many of these familiar events have been reworked under the influence of the Evils, increasing both challenge and reward.</p>



<p>Each Divine Gift is made up of three components:</p>



<ul>
<li><strong>Reward</strong> – Provides bonuses or increased loot for specific activities.</li>



<li><strong>Purified Gift</strong> – Enhances the Reward effect and grants a beneficial buff.</li>



<li><strong>Corrupted Gift</strong> – Raises the challenge of the associated activity but offers higher risk-and-reward gameplay.</li>

<p>Equipping Divine Gifts doesn’t just empower your character—it changes the nature of the world around you. For instance, the <strong>Essence of Pain</strong> includes three slots:</p>



<ul>
<li>The <strong>Reward slot</strong> increases loot drops from Helltides.</li>



<li>The <strong>Purified slot</strong> doubles that bonus and grants a boon, such as a Barrier that triggers when you’re injured.</li>



<li>The <strong>Corrupted slot</strong> raises the stakes, summoning Duriel’s minions more frequently and allowing them to shatter your Barriers or Fortified Life.</li>
</ul>



<p>The beauty of this system is in its balance: while Corrupted Gifts make the world deadlier, Purified Gifts not only remove those penalties but also <strong>add new blessings</strong> and <strong>double your rewards</strong>.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How to Obtain Corrupted Essence</h2>

<p>Defeating a Lesser Evil for the first time rewards you with their Corrupted Essence. Returning this Essence to Hadriel unlocks two Divine Gifts associated with that demon. From there, you can continue to level up each Gift by slaying that Evil’s minions or confronting them again in later battles.</p>



<p>Here is a list of all of the Corrupted Essence you can expect to collect during Season 11, along with all of their Divine Gifts:</p>

All Divine Gifts & Corrupted Essences in Diablo 4 Season 11


<p><a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Diablo 4&#8217;s endgame is expanding</a> with the introduction of the Tower and the return of Leaderboards! Blizzard is adding a new timed challenge designed to test even the strongest players, and it is finally bringing some competition back to the game. </p>



<p>Both features will <strong>start in Beta</strong> during the Season 11 PTR and the live season launch, with plans to expand and refine them in the future.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What Is the Tower?</h2>



<p>Think of the Tower as the <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/the-pit-of-the-artificers-guide" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">counterpart to the Pit</a>. The Tower is a multi-stage timed dungeon that challenges you to clear multiple randomized floors within 10 minutes. Each floor features:</p>



<ul>
<li>Randomized layouts and monster families</li>



<li>Progress earned by killing enemies and collecting Orbs</li>



<li>Four guaranteed Pylons per run that grant temporary buffs</li>



<li>A Tower boss that appears when you have made enough progress</li>
</ul>



<p>Defeat the boss before the timer runs out to complete your run and record your run on the new Leaderboards. </p>



<p>The mode can be unlocked through the Obelisk in Cerrigar, and you can run it at any difficulty you have already unlocked for the Pit.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Leaderboards Return </h2>

<p>With the new Tower, Diablo 4 is also bringing back Leaderboards. This was a long-requested feature that lets players compete for the fastest clears and highest tiers.</p>



<p>At launch, Leaderboards will be in Beta, running from <strong>October 21 to October 28</strong> during the PTR. The system will track your Tower runs across several categories, including:</p>

<p>For now, there are no direct rewards for top ranks, but Blizzard has confirmed more updates will come after Season 11&#8217;s launch. Eventually, they might add specific rewards depending on your rank.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Why Are Leaderboards So Important</h2>



<p>The Tower and Leaderboards are a big step towards more replayable, competitive endgame content, and that is something Diablo 4 was missing.</p>



<p>With the mode built around the new monster combat updates, it is a perfect testing ground for build efficiency, coordination, and survival under pressure. And with Leaderboards making their return, players finally have a way to prove who truly dominates Sanctuary.</p>


Is Diablo 4’s New Tower Leaderboard Just a Ranked Pit?


<p><a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Diablo 4&#8217;s next big system</a> is literally going to bring some divine power to Sanctuary. After changing completely how crafting and item progression works with all the <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/tempering-guide" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Tempering</a> and <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/masterworking-guide" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Masterworking</a> rework, Blizzard is adding a final touch for endgame crafting, and that is <strong>Sanctification</strong>. </p>



<p>This new system will sort of channel the &#8220;<em>power of the High Heavens</em>&#8221; into your gear. This lets you ascend your best items to a new, celestial level.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What Is Sanctification</h2>



<p>When you Sanctify an item, you will essentially bless it with some sort of angelic energy. However, it is not just another way to boost your stats. Each Sanctified item gets unique effects that can completely change its potential:</p>



<ul>
<li>Gain a <strong>bonus Legendary power</strong></li>



<li><strong>Upgrade an affix</strong> into a Greater Affix</li>



<li><strong>Add a bonus Sanctification affix</strong> from a special set of affixes</li>



<li><strong>Replace an existing affix</strong> with a random Sanctified one</li>



<li>And even make the item <strong>indestructible</strong></li>
</ul>



<p>However, once you have Sanctified an item, its journey ends there. This means that you can not modify it anymore. It is meant to be the final, ultimate upgrade to your weapon or armor.</p>



<p>So you will have to first make sure you perfect it with Tempering, Masterworking, <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/occultist-guide" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Enchanting</a>, before you use the Sanctification system.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How to Sanctify Items</h2>

<p>There are two ways to access this angelic upgrade:</p>



<ul>
<li>In <strong>Pre-Torment difficulties</strong>, you can earn a divine invitation after defeating a Lesser Evil in activities like Helltide. This grants a rare chance to Sanctify an item at the <strong>Heavenly Anvil</strong>, but if you skip it, you will have to wait for another invitation.</li>



<li>In <strong>Torment difficulties</strong>, you will need <strong>Heavenly Sigils</strong>. Those let you access the <strong>Heavenly Forge</strong> to Sanctify Ancestral-quality items whenever you want.</li>
</ul>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Why Is Sanctification So Important</h2>



<p>Sanctification feels like Blizzard&#8217;s way of giving players a true &#8220;final destination&#8221; for their best loot. This is a way to lock in that perfect weapon or armor once all other upgrades are done. It is cool, powerful, and fits perfectly with the angelic theme of the upcoming Season.</p>



<p>Between Tempering, Masterworking, and now Sanctification, Diablo 4&#8217;s entire gear progression is looking far more refined and satisfying, and that is something long-time players have been asking for since launch.</p>


Is Diablo 4’s Sanctification the Ultimate Endgame Upgrade?


<p>Say goodbye to RNG, and hello to real item control! Blizzard is completely reworking Tempering and Masterworking in <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Diablo 4 for Season 11</a>! Get ready for one of the biggest crafting updates the game has ever seen. The new system will give you complete control over your items, removing most of the RNG frustration that has been tied to those two systems.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">A New Item Journey</h2>



<p>According to Blizzard, these changes aim to make the &#8220;<em>item journey more rewarding and skill-driven</em>&#8220;. Tempering and Masterworking have now been refocused around their two core pillars, &#8220;<em>customization and prestige</em>&#8220;. </p>



<p>Players will be able to directly pick the affixes they want, refine items toward perfection, and chase a new Capstone bonus for ultimate upgrades.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Tempering &#8211; Choose Your Own Affix</h2>



<p><a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/tempering-guide" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Tempering has been fully redesigned</a>, and the best part is simple, <strong>no more random rolls</strong>. Players can now select which specific affix they want to apply to an item from a Tempering Recipe. If you have learned a Tempering Manual, you can directly pick the exact stat you are after instead of hoping RNG blesses you. </p>



<p>Here is how it works now:</p>



<ul>
<li>Tempering Affix selection is no longer random. You pick it directly.</li>



<li>Items can now only have one Tempered affix (down from two).</li>



<li>Tempering Charges can be restored indefinitely using Scrolls of Restoration.</li>



<li>Scrolls of Restoration now restore one charge at a time, but there is no limit on how many times you can use them.</li>
</ul>



<p>Tempering material costs have also been adjusted:</p>

<p>This simplified approach lets you focus on one perfect affix instead of juggling two random ones. Being able to infinitely restore Tempering Charges means you can keep refining without the fear of wasting a good roll, or rendering your item unusable.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Masterworking: Quality Over Quantity</h2>



<p><a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/masterworking-guide" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Masterworking has been reworked even more dramatically</a>. It no longer boosts affix values! Instead, it now increases a new stat called <strong>Refinement</strong>, and this improves the <strong>base damage, armor, or resistance</strong> of an item. </p>



<p>Each Masterwork level adds a random 1-3% Refinement, up to a maximum of 20%. For example:</p>

<li>A chest piece with 100 armor would have:
<ul>
<li>0% Refinement = 100 Armor</li>

<p>Once an item reaches maximum Quality (20%), you can perform a <strong>Capstone Masterwork</strong>. This will upgrade a random non-Greater Affix into a <strong>Greater Affix</strong>.</p>



<p>If you do not like the result, you can <strong>re-roll the Masterworked Greater Affix</strong> without resetting your item&#8217;s Quality. The last one is a returning material in Season 11. </p>



<p>Additionally:</p>

<li>Items no longer need to be Tempered to be Masterworked.</li>

<li>Non-unique items will now have four base affixes instead of three, giving more room for customization.</li>

<p>Between infinite Tempering restoration, refined Quality scaling, and the ability to upgrade into Greater Affixes, Season 11 is going to deliver the most player-friendly item system Diablo 4 has ever had.</p>

Why Diablo 4’s Tempering & Masterworking Rework Is Game Changer


<p>The wait is almost over! <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Big Overhauls in Itemization</h2>



<p>Season 11 is changing itemization like never before. Tempering and Masterworking have been completely redesigned:</p>



<ul>
<li><strong>Tempering</strong> now lets you choose the affix you want, so no more random rolls. Only one tempered affix can be applied at a time, and charges can be restored indefinitely.</li>



<li><strong>Masterworking</strong> no longer boosts affix values. Instead, it increases an item&#8217;s Quality, giving extra base damage, armor, or resistance. Once maxed, you can roll a Capstone bonus for a Greater Affix.</li>
</ul>



<p>On top of that, items now come with 4 base affixes instead of 3, making every upgrade feel more meaningful.</p>



<p>Season 11 also introduces <strong>Sanctification</strong>, letting you channel the power of the High Heavens into your gear. This can grant bonus Legendary powers, improve affixes, or even make your item indestructible, but be careful, once sanctified, your item&#8217;s journey ends and you can no longer change it!</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Monster Combat Evolved</h2>



<p>Enemies in Sanctuary are smarter, deadlier, and more unpredictable. Expect:</p>

<li>Unique combat roles for every monster</li>



<li>Stronger monster affixes that require attention</li>



<li>Reworked champion packs and elite spawns</li>
</ul>



<p>Monster packs are now more tactical, forcing players to adapt rather than just brute-force through fights.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Defense, Healing, and Renown Changes</h2>



<p>Season 11 also changes core survival systems:</p>

<li><strong>Toughness</strong> replaces some old defense stats, showing effective HP against all damage types</li>

<h2>Item Journey Reworks: Tempering and Masterworking</h2>
<p>We are changing the item journey in a big way. Based on community feedback, we’re overhauling your item journey through the many difficulty tiers of Diablo IV.</p>
<p>Tempering and Masterworking have been refocused around their most core elements: customization, and prestige. Players now always get their desired Tempering Affix, and Masterworking has a direct path towards perfection.</p>
<h3>Tempering</h3>
<p>You can now select which specific affix you want to apply to your item from a Tempering Recipe. No longer will you have to have it randomly applied!</p>
<p>Items can now only have one tempered affix, as opposed to two randomly applied affixes while Tempering Charges can be restored indefinitely.</p>
<h3>Masterworking</h3>
<p>Masterworking no longer increases your item’s affix values. Instead, it improves the Quality of an item, which gives a bonus to the base damage, armor, or resistance of an item.</p>
<p>Items can be Masterworked to a maximum Quality threshold of 20. Once at maximum Quality, you can roll it one last time for a Capstone bonus.</p>
<p>This Capstone bonus upgrades a random non-greater affix on your item into a Greater Affix. You can then choose to re-roll the Masterworked Greater Affix, without resetting your Masterworking Quality.</p>
<p>Additionally, we’re increasing the amount of base affixes found on non-unique items from 3 to 4.</p>

<h2>Monster Combat Changes</h2>
<h3>Improved Monster Behavior</h3>
<p>Monsters will better react and adapt to combat in their express desire to end your life. Each monster should now have its own clear role and own identity when fighting. Monster behavior was previously too predictable; they’ll now be more dynamic in how they respond to you in combat.</p>
<h3>Deadlier Enemies Lurk</h3>
<p>Expect your defenses to be tested by your enemies; you’ll be more regularly dealt damage from these intelligent packs. Monster affixes will also be more powerful, making them more necessary to deal with before moving on to other less important enemies.</p>
<p>Monster packs will also group up less, making them harder to take out in one fell swoop. Their tactics have improved, and so yours should too. Additionally, Champion enemy rarity have been reworked to form champion packs.</p>
<h3>Elite Enemy Updates</h3>
<p>Elites are receiving several large changes, first of those is there are now 20+ new monster affixes to learn and conquer.</p>
<p>Elites now spawn with minions that inherit some of their affixes. Overall, we’ve updated enemy affixes to be more engaging, reduced overlap in their designs, and made some visual clarity improvements.</p>

<h2>System Updates: Defense, Healing, Renown</h2>
<h3>Defense Overhaul: Introducing Toughness</h3>
<p>In an effort to better equalize effective Health across classes and builds, we’re making several changes to way effective Health interacts with Damage Reduction and how those individual stats are calculated. Our goal is to properly test your defenses as you climb through difficulty tiers, putting more emphasis on gearing your builds towards survivability.</p>
<p>Armor and Resistances will both become rating systems, with diminishing returns at higher values. Armor now reduces all damage taken, both Physical and Non-Physical. We’re also introducing a new type of Damage Resistance: Physical Damage.</p>
<p>With these changes to Armor and Resistances in mind, the Armor and Resistance penalties per Torment Tiers have been removed. Additionally, Skills and Paragon Nodes are being reworked with these changes in mind. Paragon Nodes and Skills that provide various forms of Damage Reduction now grant a multiplicative bonus to your armor or all resistances.</p>
<p>To help you understand your defenses better, we’re adding a new stat called <b>Toughness</b> that represents the total amount of raw damage of each type you can take after considering all damage mitigation sources.</p>
<h3>Healing Updates</h3>
<p>Potions are changing significantly to make their use more impactful and tactical. These changes go in tandem with the Renown changes next, so keep that in mind when reading these changes.</p>
<p>Base Potion capacity has been reduced to 4 (regardless of previous Renown progress). Potion healing is now an instant, percentage based heal. Using a Potion heals you for 35% of your total Health immediately on use.</p>
<p>In addition to the Potions you pick up, you’ll also slowly regenerate a Potion every 30 seconds.</p>
<p>To compensate, Life on Hit has been re-added as a potential affix. It has a minor cooldown so that it no longer multiplicatively scales with enemy density.</p>
<p>We’ve also increased values for Life Regeneration, Life on Kill, Healing %, and made them more readily available. Healing Potion upgrades have been removed considering Potions are now a portion of your overall Health.</p>
<h3>Fortify Re-design</h3>
<p>To work in tandem with the changes to Healing and Potions, Fortify is shifting from a type of Damage Reduction to an additional reservoir of Life that’s drained to heal you over time.</p>
<p>When you now gain Fortify, it will stack up to your Maximum Life. When you have Fortify under Maximum Life, you’ll heal for a percentage of your Maximum Life per second in exchange for an equal amount of Fortify.</p>
<p>You will be considered Fortified as long as you have any amount of Fortify. Specific changes to Skills, Passives, and items related to Fortify are detailed in the 2.5.0 PTR Patch notes found <a href="https://news.blizzard.com/article/24242857/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">here</a>.</p>

<h2>Introducing Season Rank</h2>
<p>The Season Journey is now shifting into a more challenging version stocked with Season Rank. Each Tier now requires you to complete a challenge—usually a Capstone Dungeon—before progressing to the next Rank. Similar to previous Capstone Dungeons, these can be attempted before the recommended level and difficulty.</p>
<h3>Renown Changes in the Seasonal Realm</h3>
<p>Your Renown will now only stand permanently in the Eternal Realm. Note that the Potion capacity changes (and removal from Renown) affects the Eternal Realm as well.</p>
<p>Within the Seasonal Realm, you can still earn the additional benefits associated with Renown based on your progress, tied to the new Season Rank system.</p>
<p>Complete various challenges within each Rank to earn specific benefits, while completing an entire Rank will grant additional Capstone bonuses.</p>
<p>Season Rank rewards additional Skill points at Rank 1, 2, and 3. Season Rank awards additional Paragon points at Rank 3, 4, 5, and 6.</p>
<p>Altars of Lilith and Tenets of Akarat will still grant some Experience and minor rewards, rather than permanent stats and power.</p>

<h2>Capstone Dungeons Return</h2>
<p>The Capstone Dungeons have returned, aimed to challenge your progress through the many difficulty tiers as you gain power through your journey. Note that depsite Capstone Dungeons stating a suggested Level to attempt them, they do not scale in difficulty with your current level.</p>

<h2>The Tower and Leaderboards (Beta)</h2>
<p>Note that both The Tower and Leaderboards will officially be in Beta for both the 2.5.0 PTR and in Season 11. They will be released from Beta at a further date.</p>
<h3>Ascend the Tower</h3>

<p>A new challenge arrives to test the mettle of the most battle-hardened warriors in Sanctuary. The Tower is a multi-stage timed dungeon that is meant to only be bested by the most elite of wanderers. While the Pit descends you to the greatest depths to galvanize your strength, the Tower rises in challenge to match you against others who think themselves worthy.</p>
<p>Our plan is to update The Tower through multiple seasons to come. This introduction of the Tower is the first iteration of this game mode. We look forward to reading your feedback on this mode to help shape it moving forward.</p>
<p>The Tower was distinctly built with the new monster combat changes in mind, becoming an expert at outwitting the new tactics of these foes to gain the upper hand within The Tower.</p>
<p>Unlock the Tower through the Obelisk in Cerrigar. From there, you can run The Tower on any difficulty level already unlocked for The Pit. You have 10 minutes from exiting the first circle to complete the entire dungeon.</p>
<p><b>How to Master the Tower</b></p>
<p>Fight through multiple floors, each with a randomized tile set and monster family. Earn progress by killing monsters and collecting Orbs. The more experience monsters provide upon death, the more score they provide.</p>
<p>During your run, Pylons will appear after destroying Towers found throughout the level. You are guaranteed to see four Pylons across your Tower run. Use these to tactically empower you for a short duration. The first three Pylons will appear in a random order while still guaranteeing each of the three options will appear at least once, but the fourth will be random repeat of one of the prior Pylons each Tower run.</p>
<p>You can also collect Orbs to earn progress in the Tower. These drop from killing Elites, Champions, or Goblins.</p>
<p>When enough progress has been made, a random Tower boss will spawn. Defeat them before the timer ends to complete the run and mark your spot on the Leaderboards.</p>
<h3>The Return of Leaderboards</h3>

<p>With the arrival of The Tower, the Leaderboards have made their triumphant return to Diablo IV. This is where the elite will compete to see who can call themselves the pinnacle of all wanderers. While in Beta, the Leaderboards will not have any specific rewards linked to them. Stay tuned for more details on that at a later date.</p>
<p>Upon completing your Tower run, you’ll see the Tower Tier you completed, and your final time. Note there will be two entirely separate entries of Leaderboards split by both Hardcore and Normal.</p>
<p>We have plans for the Leaderboard following Season 11 launch, while this PTR will be more focused on introducing the overall functionality. Expect more details around the timeline and testing schedule for both The Tower and Leaderboards closer to Season 11 launch.</p>

<h2>Changes to the Welcome Back Booster</h2>
<p>For players who have not yet used your Welcome Back Booster, it will now be moving to the Training Ground to avoid unintended use. Following the end of Season 10, there will be some changes to the Welcome Back Booster.</p>
<p>Starting with Season 11, new accounts will not be granted a Winback Booster and will no longer be automatically added to the Journal for new characters.</p>
<p>However, if you create an account and log-in any time before the end of Season 10, you will still earn and be able to use the Welcome Back Booster at any time. This includes during or after Season 11.</p>

Everything You Need to Know About Diablo 4 Season 11


<p>After months of teasing, Blizzard is <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/diablo-4-latest-season" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">finally revealing Diablo 4</a> Season 11 during today&#8217;s <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/blizzard-hints-at-massive-diablo-4-changes-during-upcoming-sitdown" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Sanctuary Sitdown developer stream</a>. And if the community is right, this might just be the biggest update the game has seen since launch.</p>



<p>On Reddit, a few topics came up where everyone is speculating over what to expect:</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Season That Could Change Everything</h2>



<p>Players are calling it &#8220;<em>Judgement Day</em>&#8221; for a reason. Season 11 is going to introduce what we could call &#8220;<em>Loot 3.0</em>&#8220;, so a major overhaul that will redefine how <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/tempering-guide" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">gearing, tempering, and progression</a> work in Diablo 4. Alongside that, we are expecting a ton of quality-of-life improvements, including maybe loot pickup, better pet behavior, and permanent waypoint unlocks. </p>



<p>There is also talk of <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/reliquaries-guide" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">changes to the reliquary system</a>, improved endgame, and even changes to the seasonal progression boards. And if that was not enough, Blizzard might finally drop PTR details or a roadmap teasing what is next, maybe even the first hints about the next expansion! </p>



<p>It is a lot, and that is exactly why players are hyped. If Season 11 focuses on fixing core frustrations, it could be the turning point players have been waiting for.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Paladin Rumors</h2>



<p>There is also one big wildcard everyone is hoping for, and that is the Paladin. <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/paladin-class-may-join-diablo-4-in-upcoming-expansion" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">If the rumors are true</a>, Season 11 could introduce Diablo 4&#8217;s next class, and <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/spiritborn/builds" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">unlike the Spiritborn</a>, this one might be completely free for all players. </p>



<p>The Paladin has been one of the most requested class since launch, and an official reveal during tonight&#8217;s stream would be perfect. However, take this with a grain of salt because it is still unknown if the next class really comes with Season 11, or with the actual next expansion. On top of that, there is no official indication that it will indeed be the Paladin.</p>



<p><a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/is-diablo-4-bringing-back-the-crusader-class" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">A few players are also thinking about Crusader</a> or something similar, which would fit inside the current main story of the game. <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Hope… With a Side of Skepticism</h2>



<p>Still, it would not be Diablo 4 without a little drama. The community has been through more &#8220;make or break&#8221; updates than they can count, and plenty of players are keeping expectations in check. Every season has come with talk of redemption, but this time, it does feel bigger. Blizzard has been hinting at this rework for months, and rolling it all out now suggests they have been preparing something massive.</p>



<p>It is unknown if it is truly a rebirth for Diablo 4, or just another round of bigger numbers, but one thing is clear, the devs know the stakes. This update needs to prove that Diablo 4 is not just recovering, it is evolving.</p>

<p>A dedicated <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/diablo-4-latest-season" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Diablo 4</a> player just finished an in-depth farming test in Season 10, defeating <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/lair-boss-system-guide" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">100 Greater Bosses</a> and over <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/belial-boss-guide" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">20 Belial</a> to see what kind of loot and drop rates players can really expect.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">A Great Farming Plan</h2>



<p>The player ran a total of <strong>100 Greater Lair Bosses</strong>, including <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/uber-andariel-boss-guide" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Andariel</a>, <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/uber-duriel-boss-guide" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Duriel</a>, and the <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/harbinger-of-hatred-boss-guide" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Harbinger</a>. He used a <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/ball-lightning-sorcerer-build" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Ball Lightning Sorcerer</a> on Torment IV. </p>



<p>They also triggered <strong>16 Belial Ambushes</strong> (those random &#8220;baby Belials&#8221; that appear after looting boss caches) and fought <strong>22 full Belial bosses</strong> in total.</p>



<p>To make the results consistent, all materials for summoning bosses were farmed through the <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/kurast-undercity-guide" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Kurast Undercity&#8217;s Tribute of Titans</a>, and all lesser boss mats were transmuted at the alchemist.</p>



<p>The result was 138 bosses defeated over roughly 67 minutes of total fight time. They did not count the 3+ hours needed to farm the materials.</p>

<p>Belial himself dropped one of the Mythics (<a class="icy-gtnbrg-link" href="#"><span class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip"><img decoding="async" class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip-img" src="https://static.icy-veins.com/wp/static/d4/latest/images/icons/2DInventory_Rings_41.webp" alt="Ring of Starless Skies"><span class="tooltip-spell-name" data-item-type="Ring" data-item-quality="mythic">Ring of Starless Skies</span></span></a>), and most Legendary Runes came from other Bosses.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Drop Rates and RNG Notes</h2>



<p>Even if the example can still be considered small, the numbers still give a good idea of what players might expect in Season 10:</p>



<ul>
<li><strong>Belial Ambush chance:</strong> ~15-20%</li>



<li><strong>Legendary Rune drop rate:</strong> ~10%</li>



<li><strong>Mythic drop rate:</strong> ~3-5%</li>



<li><strong>Chaos Unique drop rate:</strong> ~5%</li>
</ul>



<p>Based on kill time, that equals around:</p>



<ul>
<li>~3 Mythics/hour</li>



<li>~12 Legendary Runes/hour</li>



<li>~5 Chaos Uniques/hour</li>
</ul>



<p>This is definitely not bad for solo farming, but it does confirm what many players already feel. Sadly, RNG is still the real endgame boss.</p>



<p>On average, each Boss took about 25 seconds to kill, with another 30 seconds per town run after every five kills. Belial fights were slightly longer (+22 seconds each), but Belial Ambushes averaged just 12 seconds. It is not a bad time investment, but also might not be the most efficient way to get the loot you want this season, especially if you want <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/chaos-armor-guide" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Chaos Armor</a>.</p>
