<p>Blizzard is aware of several issues currently affecting players. The Choron&#8217;s Flesh Warplan node has been temporarily disabled due to an unintended interaction, and a rare Wardrobe issue is preventing some Warlock players from changing the appearance of their characters. A temporary workaround for this issue is for players to change the marking color on their characters in the Wardrobe.</p>

<p>If you’re still encountering issues, this can be fixed by changing your <strong>Marking Color</strong> in the Wardrobe. After you’ve changed your color, you can still change it back to a former color without encountering any other issues.</p>

Blizzard Working on Fixes for Wardrobe and Warplan Issues


<p>Blizzard has just released <strong>Hotfix 5</strong> for Diablo IV, addressing several issues circulating in the community. Most notably, this patch fixes the infinite scaling shenanigans with the currently disabled <a class="icy-gtnbrg-link" href="#"><span class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip"><img decoding="async" data-tooltip-name="Aspect of Limitless Rage" class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip-img" src="https://static.icy-veins.com/wp/static/d4/latest/images/aspects/offensive.webp" alt="Aspect of Limitless Rage"><span class="tooltip-spell-name d4-codex-text">Aspect of Limitless Rage</span></span></a>, along with a couple of farming exploits tied to Choron&#8217;s Soul and certain War Plan nodes. Diablo 4 Hotfix 5 Brings Fixes for Aspects, Glyph Upgrades, and Unique Farming


<p>Despite the fact that Diablo 4 has no in-game auction house or officially recognized trading platform, thousands of items are sold for gold across Sanctuary every day. These transactions are facilitated through various Discord servers and a number of different websites, with the most well-known being <a href="https://diablo.trade/listings/items" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">diablo.trade</a>.</p>



<p>With the launch of Lord of Hatred, and in particular the introduction of the Horadric Cube, trading within the Diablo 4 economy has been altered dramatically and, in all likelihood, permanently.</p>



<p>For most of Diablo 4’s history, Magic and Rare items have barely been worth looking at. Once Legendary items were available to a character, anything blue or yellow was usually sold, salvaged, or ignored.</p>



<p>With the release of Lord of Hatred, however, this is no longer the case. In fact, at the time of writing, a search for sold Rare items on diablo.trade shows that the most recent sale was a pair of gloves with just one Greater Affix.</p>



<p>They were listed for less than an hour before someone grabbed them.</p>



<p>They sold for a cool five billion gold.</p>

<p>Running a filter to show only sold Magic items reveals an amulet, also with just one Greater Affix, that had just sold for two billion.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, searching for a random Unique item such as Paingorger&#8217;s Gauntlets shows a max-rolled pair with four Greater Affixes that just sold for a meager 500 million.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How the Horadric Cube Changed Diablo 4 Trading</h2>



<p>So what’s going on here? Why exactly are these blue and yellow items suddenly so coveted and making so many players so very rich?</p>



<p>It’s because players are no longer just buying finished gear. They’re buying the starting point for something even better. They’re buying the potential to craft something that fits their build, and it all comes back to the Horadric Cube.</p>



<p>A Magic item with a Greater Affix isn’t blue trash with one good stat. It’s a starting point — the foundation from which players can work toward attaining the perfect item.</p>



<p>For players who’ve been learning the ins and outs of the cube and going through the iterative process of tweaking and fine-tuning affixes, the fun is not only in having a great item, but in <strong>creating</strong> it. In knowing that the little damage spike you just achieved, or the extra survivability you’re enjoying — that didn’t just fall on the floor after you killed a boss … you crafted it.</p>



<p>In the past, most trade value came from items that were already close to finished. Players searched for Uniques, or Legendaries with the right affixes, bought them, then tempered and masterworked them. A single affix could be replaced through enchanting, but rerolling for the desired outcome could become so expensive that it was out of reach for many players.</p>



<p>This is why blue and yellow items are now attracting so much attention. They give players a cleaner base to build from. Instead of hoping a perfect Legendary drops with the right combination of affixes, players can start with one excellent affix and try to craft the item from there.</p>

<p>One of the most exciting items that can now come bursting out of a monster or chest is a blue or yellow item with the GA symbol. There’s a moment before you open your equipment tab when you wonder whether this might be the start of a new crafting journey. Or, for traders, is that another five billion gold that just fell on the floor?</p>



<p>There’s still plenty of risk involved, of course. The Horadric Cube doesn’t simply hand players perfect gear. Crafting still costs materials, rolls can still go badly, and Transfiguration without the use of a Tuning Prism can potentially lead to disappointing, or even detrimental and irreversible outcomes.</p>



<p>But unpredictable rewards are what power the Diablo 4 dopamine drip, and players seem to feel that the risk-reward ratio is just fine, or else they wouldn’t be spending billions of hard-won gold on blue rings and yellow pants.</p>

Diablo 4 Players Are Paying Billions for Items They Used to Salvage


<p>The day has finally arrived, the long wait is over, <strong>the Diablo 4 Secret Cow Level has been found!</strong> Moments ago, the <a href="https://discord.gg/sAsjjdV7C" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Not Finding A Cow Level Discord</a> has finally unlocked the portal into the realm of the Bovinae.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Diablo 4 Secret Cow Level is Real!</h2>



<p>After years of searching, bread crumb trails, and several convoluted steps, the Secret Cow Level has finally been found on a remote island off the coast of Skovos. <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4-cow-level-mystery-is-nearly-solved/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Yesterday, we briefly covered the steps needed to unlock passage to the island</a>, but the portal finally opened recently.</p>

<p>Currently, at the time of writing, the Not Finding A Cow Level Discord hasn&#8217;t dropped the full details on the final steps of opening the portal, but we will keep you updated as the last part of the quest chain is unveiled. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Is This the End…?</h2>



<p>The road has been long, but this might not be the end. Among the several cow-themed drops that come from the Secret Cow Level, one of them is <strong>another quest item called Prime Rib</strong>. Pairing with the fact that once the Cow Level is open, you can rerun the instance as many times as you like, so there might be something more for Diablo 4 players to find.</p>

<p>Also, inside the level is the Cow King boss, which drops his own <strong>Ancestral Mythic gear</strong>, including The <strong>Cow King&#8217;s Crown</strong>, which is not only full of cow puns, but also pokes at how outrageous Diablo 4&#8217;s early gear used to be.</p>

Diablo 4 Secret Cow Level Finally Found—The Hunt Is Finally Over


<p>Since the launch of Diablo 4, <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/will-diablo-4-finally-add-a-cow-level-in-lord-of-hatred/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">players have been on the hunt for the infamous Cow Level</a>, and with the release of <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/lord-of-hatred-overview/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Lord of Hatred</a>, we have finally gotten closer. It&#8217;s been a long journey, and while there have been some clues and items found along the way, we are getting ever closer to finally finding out where those cows have been hiding all these years, thanks to the <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/horadric-cube-overview/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Horadric Cube</a>.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Diablo 4 Cow Level Is Almost Here</h2>



<p><span style="margin: 0px;padding: 0px">Recently, the <a href="https://discord.gg/sAsjjdV7C" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Not Finding A Cow Level Discord</a> has</span> found that the newly reintroduced Horadric Cube was the key to unlocking another step in this long-sought-after mystery. After combining several quest items into the Horadric Cude, including <strong>Neyrelle&#8217;s Hand</strong>, a <strong>Stamina Potion</strong>, &amp; the <strong>Rusty Bardiche</strong>.</p>

<p><strong>The Stamina Potion &amp; the Rusty Bardiche were previously uncovered almost two years ago.</strong> Obtaining these two items involves a multi-step process, which requires you to enter the <strong>Forlorn Hovel</strong> in Scosglen. You can only enter the hovel by obtaining the <strong>Strange Key</strong>, by finding 3 relics, and cleansing them in the Ked Bardu fountain.</p>



<p>And if you want to obtain any of these relics, <strong>you must kill 666 cows within a week, just for one</strong>. The relic that drops depends on where you kill the last cow. <strong>It&#8217;s also worth noting that you can only obtain one relic roughly every 8 days.</strong></p>



<ul>
<li>The <strong>Musty Tome</strong> drops in Scosglen &amp; Fractured Peaks.</li>



<li>The <strong>Bloody Wooden Shard</strong> drops in Kehjistan &amp; Hawezar.</li>



<li>The <strong>Intricate Metallic Fragment</strong> drops in Dry Steppes.</li>
</ul>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">So Close, Yet How Far?</h2>

<p>The Cow Level Discord is close to completing the supposed final steps of the easter egg. After combining all of the items in the Horadric Cube, you will craft the <strong>Trophy of the Faithful</strong>. Using it grants you the achievement &#8220;There is no Cow Level&#8221; along with a Torn Page. <strong>Afterward, you can find an Outcasts Boat off the coast of Skovos</strong>, which will slowly sail you to a remote cow-themed island.</p>

<p>This is as far as the community has progressed at the time of writing. Inside the island, there&#8217;s a handful of additional clues as to where to go and what to do. The hunt for Diablo 4’s Cow Level may finally be nearing its end.</p>

Diablo 4 Cow Level Mystery Is Nearly Solved


<p>Before the release of Lord of Hatred, it seemed there was no doubt about which class would be the strongest in Season 13. Almost everyone assumed that the Warlock would be just as overpowered as the Paladin was during the last two seasons, if not more so. But now, less than a week after launch, it appears that almost everyone may have been wrong.</p>



<p>At least for now.</p>



<p>The season is young. Players are still leveling, gearing, testing, and tweaking their builds. The gear, glyphs and gems used by top players on the Tower leaderboard are available for anyone to see in-game, and if you do take a look, you’ll see that even the absolute best clear at this point was completed with a mix of Grand and Royal Gems, no maxed-out Glyphs and absolutely zero Transfigured items.</p>

<p>There’s clearly a lot of build optimization still to come. In addition to that, Blizzard has already deployed a number of hotfixes to address broken interactions and damage scaling issues. The possibility of more patches must also be considered before carving a Season 13 tier list into stone.</p>



<p>With all that being said, early Pit and Tower leaderboards must be acknowledged, and they’re currently showing some surprising results.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Tower Leaderboards</h2>



<p>Based on the in-game Tower leaderboard at the time of writing, the highest clears from each class are:</p>



<ul>
<li><strong>Rogue</strong> — 148</li>



<li><strong>Sorcerer</strong> — 145</li>



<li><strong>Barbarian</strong> — 144</li>



<li><strong>Necromancer</strong> — 129</li>



<li><strong>Warlock</strong> — 127</li>



<li><strong>Spiritborn</strong> — 125</li>



<li><strong>Druid</strong> — 125</li>



<li><strong>Paladin</strong> — 121</li>
</ul>



<p>That puts Rogue, Barbarian and Sorcerer well ahead of the pack, with Warlock sitting a full 21 Tower tiers from the top.</p>



<p>To be clear, the Warlock isn’t bad. It’s still extremely powerful and crushing all endgame content. It’s just not as disgustingly busted as most of us expected, or as much as some of the Diablo devs hinted it might be.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Pit Leaderboards</h2>



<p>Comparing the Tower leaderboard to the highest verified Pit clears on <a href="https://helltides.com/pit" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Helltides</a> makes compiling a clear class tier list even more difficult. There, Sorcerers dominate. Five of the top ten runs were Sorcs — including the top four runs. Three were Barbs. There’s also a single Necro, and a Warlock sneaks in at number nine.</p>



<p>Oddly absent from the top ten are any Rogues. In fact, the highest-ranked Rogue is at number 17 on the list with a tier 120 Pit clear — a large discrepancy in power for the Rogue between Pit and Tower leaderboards.</p>

<p>In terms of actual builds, the current front-runners appear to be:</p>

<p>While these builds are making the most noise at the moment, it&#8217;s possible that this could change very quickly.</p>



<p>Blizzard has already been moving quickly to address broken or unintended interactions. Hotfix 3 fixed an issue where Sorcerer’s <a class="icy-gtnbrg-link" href="#"><span class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip"><img decoding="async" data-tooltip-name="Blizzard" class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip-img" src="https://static.icy-veins.com/wp/static/d4/latest/images/icons/2DUI_Skills_Sorceress_51.webp" alt="Blizzard"><span class="tooltip-spell-name d4-text">Blizzard</span></span></a> scaled far more than intended with skill point investment. It also fixed an issue where Cowl of the Nameless caused <a class="icy-gtnbrg-link" href="#"><span class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip"><img decoding="async" data-tooltip-name="Poison Imbuement" class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip-img" src="https://static.icy-veins.com/wp/static/d4/latest/images/icons/2DUI_Skills_Rogue_55.webp" alt="Poison Imbuement"><span class="tooltip-spell-name d4-text">Poison Imbuement</span></span></a> to deal far higher damage than intended.</p>



<p>Barbarian’s Limitless Rage affix was also temporarily disabled after it began scaling damage near infinitely with <a class="icy-gtnbrg-link" href="#"><span class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip"><img decoding="async" class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip-img" src="https://static.icy-veins.com/wp/static/d4/latest/images/icons/2DInventory_Amulets_48.webp" alt="Melted Heart of Selig"><span class="tooltip-spell-name" data-item-type="Amulet" data-item-quality="mythic">Melted Heart of Selig</span></span></a> and <a class="icy-gtnbrg-link" href="#"><span class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip"><img decoding="async" class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip-img" src="https://static.icy-veins.com/wp/static/d4/latest/images/icons/2DInventory_Items_Gloves_Generic_0.webp" alt="Endurant Faith"><span class="tooltip-spell-name" data-item-type="Gloves" data-item-quality="unique">Endurant Faith</span></span></a>.</p>



<p><a class="icy-gtnbrg-link" href="#"><span class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip"><img decoding="async" class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip-img" src="https://static.icy-veins.com/wp/static/d4/latest/images/icons/2DInventory_Daggers_22.webp" alt="The Umbracrux"><span class="tooltip-spell-name" data-item-type="Dagger" data-item-quality="unique">The Umbracrux</span></span></a> and its charm version were also temporarily disabled due to another unintended interaction.</p>



<p>So, yes, Rogue, Barbarian, and Sorcerer are currently putting up the most impressive numbers. But during the first week of a massive new expansion, some builds are strong because they are well-optimized, and some builds are strong because something under the hood is not quite working as intended.</p>



<p>We have, in fact, already seen how quickly things can change. Three days after Lord of Hatred launched, the top two clears on the Helltides Season 13 Pit leaderboard were both by Spiritborn players, and they’d both cleared a tier 150 Pit. <p><strong>Diablo 4 player count has surged to a new all-time high on Steam, hitting its biggest number since launching on the platform in October 2023.</strong></p>



<p>At the time of this article publishing, according to <a href="https://steamdb.info/app/2344520/charts/#max">SteamDB</a>, Diablo 4 reached <strong>59,061 concurrent players</strong>, setting a brand-new record on Steam.</p>



<p>That is the highest the game has ever been.</p>

<p>On paper, the system looks straightforward. In practice, it ramps up fast:</p>

<p>A strong play is to <strong>gamble for a 1H Dagger</strong>, since that controls the item type.</p>

<li>Strip it down to a Common dagger</li>
