Diablo 4 3.1 PTR Has Been Delayed


<p>Blizzard has released a known issues list for the Diablo 4 3.1.0 PTR, giving players a look at some of the bugs and issues the team is already aware of. The list is heavily focused on item behavior, crafting, Horadric Cube interactions, Talismans, and class-specific bugs.</p>



<p>The good news is that these issues are already on Blizzard’s radar and are intended to be addressed before Season 14 goes live. The bad news is that players on the PTR may be in for a rough time, as the list of issues is long. Some of the main problems include items not updating correctly after modification, Horadric Cube actions failing or restricting further upgrades, crafted Mythics behaving unexpectedly, and several class or Talisman interactions not working as intended.</p>

<li>Players may encounter situations where Cube actions appear successful but do not apply changes.</li>
<li>Certain Cube operations may incorrectly restrict future item upgrades or rerolls.</li>
<li>The ‘Upgrade to Mythic’ tooltip fails to state that the pre-requisite item must be Ancestral</li>
<li>The ‘Upgrade to Mythic’ options allows for Mythic Uniques to be used a pre-requisite material (when this should only be for regular uniques)</li>
<li>It is possible to add a non-functional Greater Affix to an item when using Transfiguration process</li>
</ul>

<li>Certain Talismans may deal additional damage that is not reflected in the combat log.</li>
<li>Some Talisman effects may apply damage or bonuses inconsistently, making it difficult to verify their impact.</li>
<li>Specific Talisman and skill combinations may result in unexpectedly high damage output that does not display correctly in UI feedback.</li>
<li>In some cases, Talisman-related bonuses may not properly register or display when interacting with other systems.</li>
<li>Paladin’s Righteous Will set does not reflect enemy ‘knockback’ effects</li>
<li>Sorcerer’s Tal Rasha Threefold Way set casts a stationary Ball Lightning when a Frost or Pyromancy skill triggers the 5-set bonus</li>
<li>Sorcerer’s Habalcava’s Cauldron set powers persist visually and functionally after the player procs the overheat effect, then unequips the set.</li>
<li>Warlock’s Harash’s Shadow set does not provide damage increases when consuming the last stack of ‘Shadowform’</li>
<li>Warlock’s Abaddon set does not create small fractures when casting Hell Fracture with Eruption upgrade</li>
<li>Warlock’s Abaddon set causes certain skill upgrades to cast as different skill upgrades</li>
<li>The Charm version of ‘Ring of Starless Skies’ is not functional.</li>
</ul>

<li>Some Sorcerer aspects may cause abilities to enter an infinite cooldown state when traveling between subzones on a mount.</li>
<li>Warlock characters may become stuck underground or temporarily unable to move or cast abilities after using certain skills.</li>
<li>In multiplayer scenarios, Barbarian Rallying Cry may incorrectly stun the player casting the ability under certain conditions.</li>
<li>Several Rogue item and skill interactions may fail to apply intended damage or bonuses, resulting in inconsistent performance.</li>
<li>The Paladin Heavenly Strength affix may not function correctly with certain item combinations, preventing expected build functionality.</li>
<li>Some Druid Unique items may fail to correctly apply poison damage or Berserking duration bonuses as described.</li>
<li>Necromancer items and upgrades may grant incorrect Overpower stacks or fail to apply buffs to summons.</li>
<li>Sorcerer abilities and aspects may provide more damage or stacks than listed in tooltips, leading to inconsistencies between expected and actual power.</li>
<li>Certain Rogue skills may apply multiple effects simultaneously when only one is intended, resulting in unintended behavior.</li>
<li>Some Warlock abilities may exhibit incorrect behavior when recast or display persistent visual effects.</li>
<li>Necromancer abilities may leave lingering effects after being recast, remaining active longer than intended.</li>
<li>Certain class abilities may fail to correctly apply bonus damage effects, reducing their overall effectiveness.</li>

Diablo 4 PTR Known Issues List is Good News and Bad News for Players


<p>Blizzard has opened the early download for the Diablo 4 Patch 3.1 PTR. Players can grab the pre-download right now on Battle.net. Unfortunately, Steam and console versions of the game are not eligible for PTR access. While the download is currently available, the content itself will not be accessible until <strong>June 2 at 10:00 a.m. PDT</strong>. </p>



<p>The 3.1 PTR is shaping up to be a large one, teasing the return of Realmwalkers alongside a reworked Mythic Uniques system, among other changes. Diablo 4 PTR 3.1 Is Ready to Download Ahead of Launch


<p>Players are finally getting some details about what&#8217;s coming in Diablo 4 Season 14. Along with <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4-season-14-finally-adds-solo-self-found-mode/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Solo Self-Found</a>, Mythic Uniques, &amp; the return of the Realmwalker, there&#8217;s also a new Seasonal Lair Boss &amp; monster family coming soon.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">New Seasonal Lair Boss In Season 14</h2>



<p>A new Seasonal Lair Boss will be available in Season 14! Players can find <strong>the Corrupted Reaper Lair Boss in Pandemonium Threshold&#8217;s entrance in Zarbinzet.</strong> During the new season, the ability to fight the boss will become available through the Season Campaign. </p>



<p><strong>This boss requires a Greater Lair Boss key to open the rewards cache</strong>, which you <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4-realmwalker-returns-in-season-14/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">can farm through Deathtoll Chambers.</a> It will also give the best direct drop chances for both <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4-season-14-lets-every-unique-become-mythic/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Mythic Uniques and Mythic Unique Upgrade currency</a> than any other activity.</p>



<p>However, during <strong>the PTR (which will be available starting next week on June 2nd)</strong>, you will be able to face this boss once you have reached Torment I or higher.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">New Monster Family: The Risen</h2>

<p>This season is also introducing a new monster family: The Risen. Gravehounds, members of the new Risen monster family, now appear out of Ruptures and inside the Deathtoll Chamber. <strong>When killed, Gravehounds drop orbs that empower the Exarch</strong>, a special Risen that absorbs any Orbs that float toward it. <strong>Intercept them before they arrive to claim the power yourself.</strong></p>



<p>Currently, it isn&#8217;t clear if this new monster family will stick around for later seasons since they are heavily tied to the Pandemonium Ruptures being torn open during Season 14. But having more monsters to slay is always a welcome addition.</p>


Diablo 4 Season 14 Reveals New Seasonal Lair Boss & The Risen


<p><a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4-season-14-finally-adds-solo-self-found-mode/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Diablo 4 Season 14&#8217;s details have just dropped</a>, and the Realmwalker from Season 6 is making a return! Along with the Realmwalkers reappearing, they are also bringing forth a one-room mini-dungeon for players to venture into aka, the Deathtoll Chamber.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Pandemonium Ruptures</h2>



<p>That&#8217;s right, Realmwalkers are reappearing across Sanctuary from the brand new arcane rifts called Pandemonium Ruptures. From these rifts, a new monster family emerges, and with them, the chance at spawning a Realmwalker. In order to summon one, you must kill the guardians around Death&#8217;s Head Idols, creating an open Rupture and casting a ritual ring.</p>



<p><strong>The longer you keep the Rupture open, the more rewards you’ll earn.</strong> Killing monsters and closing Tears will help keep it open.&nbsp;<strong>Rupture Goblins&nbsp;can also appear anywhere, opening additional Ruptures.</strong> If this sounds familiar, it&#8217;s because you may have done a similar mechanic during Season 6. But this time, there are three different Ruptures you can open:</p>



<ul>
<li>Ruptures (Normal):&nbsp;Small Ruptures can spawn throughout the overworld of Sanctuary, but are especially prevalent in Helltides.</li>



<li>Surging Ruptures:&nbsp;Medium ruptures can spawn in place of any local event within a Helltide.</li>



<li>Colossal Ruptures:&nbsp;Large ruptures appear only in the Fields of Desecration, the World Boss Arena southeast of Zarbinzet.</li>
</ul>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Realmwalker Returns to Diablo 4</h2>

<p>After completing different types of Pandemonium Ruptures, you have a chance at summoning a Realmwalker. However, lesser rifts won&#8217;t summon one, and only more difficult Ruptures will call forth a Realmwalker.</p>



<ul>
<li>Ruptures (Normal):&nbsp;<strong>Cannot summon Realmwalkers.</strong></li>



<li>Surging Ruptures:&nbsp;Gives a chance to spawn a Realmwalker when Surging Rupture events are completed with Mastery within the time allotted.</li>



<li>Colossal Ruptures:&nbsp;<strong>Guarantees a Realmwalker spawn</strong> when completed.</li>
</ul>



<p>But what do you gain for slaying a Realmwalker? Defeating a Realmwalker opens a Portal to the Deathtoll Chamber.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Deathtoll Chambers</h2>

<p>Deathtoll Chambers are a one-room mini-dungeon <strong>accessible either by defeating the Realmwalker or inside a Nightmare Dungeon with the Rupture affix</strong> after closing enough Tears within Ruptures. Once inside, <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4-season-14-lets-every-unique-become-mythic/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">complete a special Rupture activity for even more rewards.</a> </p>



<p>If any of this sounds familiar, again, it&#8217;s a similar system found in Season of Hatred Rising. But the <strong>Deathtoll Chamber will be the best source for Greater Lair Boss Keys</strong>, which are required to open the <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4-season-14-reveals-new-seasonal-lair-boss-the-risen/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Seasonal Lair Boss’s Hoard</a> in Torment I and higher.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><br></h2>


The Realmwalker Returns in Diablo 4 Season 14


<p>The Diablo 4 PTR patch notes just dropped, and with it, players are getting their first look at what Season 14&#8217;s gimmick will be.<strong> In Diablo 4 Season 14, every Unique can be Mythic.</strong> That&#8217;s right, every Unique.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Mythic Uniques in Diablo 4 Season 14</h2>



<p>In Season 14, Mythic, instead of being an item rarity, is now a modifiable Item Quality. Players will have the ability to make any Unique item into Mythic through Item Quality modifiers. In addition, Mythic Uniques will also have their <strong>Unique Powers increased by 30%</strong>.</p>

<p>This means any Unique now has a chance to drop as a Mythic Unique, and players can also upgrade their favorite Uniques into Mythics using the <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/horadric-cube-overview/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Horadric Cube</a>. Plus, you will be able to <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4-realmwalker-returns-in-season-14/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">craft or earn Mythic Uniques in a few different ways</a>:</p>



<ul>
<li>Acquire Seasonal currency (Pandemonium Fragments) by progressing through the Seasonal Reputation board or defeating the new Lair Boss. This Seasonal Currency is a component in upgrading Uniques to Mythic Uniques using the Horadric Cube.
<ul>
<li>This Seasonal currency can also be earned from the Season Reputation board, Resplendent Caches, and from killing the Seasonal Lair Boss.</li>
</ul>
</li>



<li>A chance to earn a Mythic Unique by <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4-season-14-reveals-new-seasonal-lair-boss-the-risen/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">defeating the Seasonal Lair Boss, Corrupted Reaper.</a></li>



<li>Progress through the Season Rank to earn a class-specific Mythic Unique.</li>



<li>On both Seasonal and Eternal Realms, you’ll have a very rare chance to find a Mythic Unique whenever an Ancestral Unique would drop.</li>
</ul>



<p><strong>However, you can only equip one crafted Mythic.</strong> If you find multiple Mythics the typical way through rare drops in-game, you’ll still be able to equip multiple with your one crafted Mythic unique. So craft carefully!</p>

Diablo 4 Season 14 Lets Every Unique Become Mythic


<p>The Sanctuary Sitdown, Blizzard&#8217;s community Q&amp;A hosted on Discord, has wrapped up, and the developers covered a wide range of topics. From sweeping changes to how Mythic Unique items work, to a look at the Season 14 gameplay loop, to some welcome quality-of-life news, there was plenty of substance. Below are the most important things we learned.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Mythic Unique Items Are Getting a Major Overhaul</h2>



<p><a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4-ptr-brings-changes-players-have-begged-for/">As we covered earlier today</a>, the biggest talking point from the Sanctuary Sitdown was the changes coming to Mythic Unique items.</p>



<p>Going forward, <strong>any</strong> Unique item in the game can drop or be crafted into a Mythic. When an item rolls as a Mythic, all of its affixes are set to the maximum roll (though not Greater Affix level), and the item&#8217;s unique power becomes 30% stronger. Players can also modify these new Mythics in the Horadric Cube, giving them additional flexibility.</p>



<p>The &#8220;old&#8221; Mythics, the ones players have been hunting and building around, now carry the <strong>Iconic Mythics</strong> label. Blizzard has nerfed some of these, and importantly, the Cube <strong>cannot</strong> modify them. These items have always been distinct from other Uniques, and this rebrand aims to maintain that distinction.</p>



<p>We also received clarification on which features are permanent and which are likely to be seasonal flavor-only. Unique items having the ability to drop as a Mythic are permanent additions to the game, but the developers indicated that Mythic crafting will likely remain a feature for Season 14 only.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Charms and Seals Are Getting Attention</h2>



<p>The developers acknowledged that several charms and seals are underperforming. In response, they said they are actively working to make them more competitive while also introducing more of these items. As a specific example, the <img decoding="async" class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip-img" src="https://static.icy-veins.com/wp/static/d4/latest/images/icons/2DInventory_Talisman_206.webp" alt="Seal of the Golden Epiphany">Seal of the Golden Epiphany has had its negative effect entirely removed. Previously, equipping it reduced your total charm count by 2. That penalty is gone, the Seal now simply allows you to equip up to 3 Unique Charms without any downside. Players can now simultaneously enjoy a 3-piece set charm bonus <strong>and</strong> have 3 Unique charms active at the same time.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Season 14&#8217;s Seasonal Loop: Ruptures and Realmwalkers</h2>



<p>The Sanctuary Sitdown gave us a clearer picture of how Season 14&#8217;s progression will work. The core loop revolves around completing <strong>Ruptures</strong> that lead into <strong>Realmwalker</strong> encounters.</p>



<p>There are two higher-tier Rupture types capable of spawning Realmwalkers. The first, <strong>Surging Ruptures</strong>, can replace any Helltide event and functions similarly to the Blood Maiden. When this event activates, all players currently in a Helltide zone are alerted. The second, <strong>Colossal Ruptures</strong>, is tied to a brand-new seasonal Lair Boss located near Zarbinzet. This version operates on a set timer and guarantees a Realmwalker will spawn, giving players a more structured way to target the encounter.</p>



<p>Blizzard has also significantly reworked the Realmwalker fight to feel more like a World Boss, both in mechanics and in-game presentation.</p>



<p>Reapers from Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls are confirmed as primary enemies in Season 14. Could this mean a return of the Angel of Death, Malthael? This remains to be seen.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">No Loot Filter Changes in Season 14</h2>



<p>For players hoping for Loot Filter updates, such as enabling the feature for couch co-op, the developers confirmed that no Loot Filter changes are planned for Season 14. They noted that they are still collecting feedback on the feature, suggesting changes may arrive in a future update.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Quality-of-Life Updates</h2>



<p>Several smaller but meaningful quality-of-life changes were discussed during the Sanctuary Sitdown:</p>



<ul>
<li><strong>XP from Hordes</strong> has been increased, and Aether scaling on all Reward Chests has been significantly boosted. The developers noted this may not be reflected in the current PTR build, so don&#8217;t be alarmed if you don&#8217;t feel the impact of this change.</li>



<li><strong>Mephisto cutscenes will be skippable</strong>. A frequently requested change has been implemented. This also won&#8217;t appear in the PTR.</li>



<li><strong>Account-bound War Plans</strong> are under investigation, but no confirmation has been given.</li>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">SSF Clarified: You Will Still See Other Players</h2>



<p>We were given a bit more information on the upcoming Solo Self-Found (SSF) mode during the Sanctuary Sitdown. SSF only restricts partying and trading, but it does <strong>not</strong> create a fully isolated experience. Players in SSF will still see other players out in the Overworld, including Helltides and World Boss encounters.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Leaderboard Integrity Is a Priority</h2>



<p>The developers addressed leaderboard concerns directly, stating that leaderboard integrity is a <strong>top priority</strong> for Blizzard. While no official stance was given on whether wipes or resets will happen as the Tower moves out of Beta, <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4-tower-leaderboards-delayed-fix-incoming/">the current leaderboard pause</a> is a clear signal that Blizzard is willing to take decisive action to keep the competitive environment clean and fair.</p>

<p>Solo Self Found, aka SSF, is an optional character state that allows you to limit your character&#8217;s progression, but only by obtaining gear that you find naturally. You are truly on your own. By selecting Solo Self Found, the following changes occur:</p>

<li><strong>SSF characters must be Seasonal only.</strong> They can also be either Normal or Hardcore.</li>



<li>SSF characters cannot join parties or trade with other players.</li>



<li>SSF share their own stash, currency, Paragon, and more only with other SSF characters on their account.</li>



<li>Free Trial, Couch Co-Op, and Dark Citadel are unavailable for SSF characters.</li>



<li><strong>Selecting SSF for that character is permanent for the duration of the season and cannot be changed</strong>. At the end of the season, SSF characters will revert to Eternal characters with the ability to group and trade again as normal.</li>
</ul>



<p>Those brave enough to adopt this alternative mode will be a part of the <strong>exclusive SSF-only Tower Leaderboards</strong> to show off their true solo prowess.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Leaderboard Ranks</h2>



<p>Participating in the Tower on any given week and reaching Tower Tier 100 or higher will grant rewards. Additionally, rewards will be based on the following Leaderboard ranks:</p>

<li>Top 1,000 on any leaderboard</li>



<li>Top 500 on any leaderboard</li>



<li>Top 100 on any leaderboard</li>



<li>Top 10 on any leaderboard</li>
