Since the launch of Diablo 4, players have been on the hunt for the infamous Cow Level, and with the release of Lord of Hatred, we have finally gotten closer. It’s been a long journey, and while there have been some clues and items found along the way, we are getting ever closer to finally finding out where those cows have been hiding all these years, thanks to the Horadric Cube.
Diablo 4 Cow Level Is Almost Here
Recently, the Not Finding A Cow Level Discord has found that the newly reintroduced Horadric Cube was the key to unlocking another step in this long-sought-after mystery. After combining several quest items into the Horadric Cude, including Neyrelle’s Hand, a Stamina Potion, & the Rusty Bardiche.
The Stamina Potion & the Rusty Bardiche were previously uncovered almost two years ago. Obtaining these two items involves a multi-step process, which requires you to enter the Forlorn Hovel in Scosglen. You can only enter the hovel by obtaining the Strange Key, by finding 3 relics, and cleansing them in the Ked Bardu fountain.
And if you want to obtain any of these relics, you must kill 666 cows within a week, just for one. The relic that drops depends on where you kill the last cow. It’s also worth noting that you can only obtain one relic roughly every 8 days.
- The Musty Tome drops in Scosglen & Fractured Peaks.
- The Bloody Wooden Shard drops in Kehjistan & Hawezar.
- The Intricate Metallic Fragment drops in Dry Steppes.
As for Neyrelle’s Hand, you can find where to obtain it along with the full detailed steps on every part of the quest chain in the D4 – Not Finding A Cow Level Discord.
So Close, Yet How Far?

The Cow Level Discord is close to completing the supposed final steps of the easter egg. After combining all of the items in the Horadric Cube, you will craft the Trophy of the Faithful. Using it grants you the achievement “There is no Cow Level” along with a Torn Page. Afterward, you can find an Outcasts Boat off the coast of Skovos, which will slowly sail you to a remote cow-themed island.
This is as far as the community has progressed at the time of writing. Inside the island, there’s a handful of additional clues as to where to go and what to do. The hunt for Diablo 4’s Cow Level may finally be nearing its end.
Until then, keep an eye on our Diablo 4 news section for updates on finding the Cow Level.
