<p>Blizzard released another <a href="https://news.blizzard.com/en-us/article/24222917/diablo-iv-patch-notes" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">patch for Diablo 4</a> on November 12, 2025, and even if it is a smaller update, it still includes a couple of nice quality-of-life changes players will appreciate!</p>



<p>Here is a short overview of what changed:</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Battle Pass Reliquary Changes</h2>



<p><strong>Claiming rewards with Favor Tokens is now faster and less confusing.</strong> The button you use to start claiming a reward is now the same one used to confirm it.</p>



<p>The goal is to streamline claiming rewards and avoid people accidentally spending Platinum instead of Favor Tokens. We have all been there; it was not the most efficient, and it is good to know that this should not happen anymore from now on.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Achievement Update</h2>



<p>The First Aid achievement got reworked:</p>



<ul>
<li><strong>Previous requirement:</strong> Fully upgrade your Healing Potion</li>



<li><strong>New requirement:</strong> Use your Healing Potion 1,000 times</li>
</ul>



<p>If you already unlocked it, no worries, it stays unlocked. You do not have to redo the achievement again.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Bug Fixes</h2>



<ul>
<li>Fixed Premium Battle Pass tokens not being consumed correctly when you had multiple unused tokens from older seasons.</li>



<li>Fixed Chaos Rifts sometimes not opening Chaos Portals in Helltide.</li>



<li>Fixed Chaos Rift enemies spawning outside the intended area.</li>



<li>Fixed Eternal characters getting the Whisper bounty for sealing Chaos Rifts.</li>



<li>Fixed Nightmare Dungeon enemies spawning <em>inside walls</em> (always fun).</li>



<li>Various stability, performance, and visual fixes.</li>
</ul>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Login Issues &amp; Hotfix Incoming Today</h2>



<p>A bunch of players across PS5 and Steam started reporting <strong>Error 330008</strong> after updating the game. So basically, they are unable to log in at all, even after reinstalling, validating files, or resetting everything.</p>



<p>A Community Manager from Blizzard confirmed they are aware of the issue and are targeting a fix today (November 14, PT) via a hotfix:</p>

<p>Blizzard just dropped a really cool <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/diablo-4-latest-season" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">surprise for Diablo</a> fans! <strong>The Infernal Symphony</strong>, a massive live music event celebrating <strong>30 years of Diablo</strong>, is happening next year!</p>

<p>In a new post shared on Twitter/X, Adam &#8220;PezRadar&#8221; Fletcher revealed that <strong>he will be leaving Blizzard Entertainment on November 19</strong>. Fletcher, who was the Director of Social &amp; Content Marketing for the Diablo franchise, has been one of the most recognizable public figures <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/diablo-4-latest-season" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">around Diablo IV</a> since its launch.</p>

<p>During his time with Blizzard, Fletcher became a major bridge between developers and players, always leading Diablo IV&#8217;s community updates, livestreams, and patch discussions. For a lot of players, he was the front face of Diablo IV!</p>



<p>&#8220;<em>The opportunity to lead Community on the franchise that defined so much of what I would do in my career was a dream come true</em>,&#8221; he added, thanking fans for their feedback, late-night messages, and ongoing passion.</p>

<p>Fletcher&#8217;s departure comes just as Blizzard prepares for an important period, with Diablo IV&#8217;s upcoming changes, a potential expansion dropping soon, and the <strong>Diablo franchise&#8217;s 30th anniversary</strong> approaching in 2026.</p>



<p>He hinted that &#8220;<em>Diablo has a ton coming up</em>&#8221; and that he is excited to experience it &#8220;<em>as a fan from the sidelines</em>.&#8221;</p>

<p>According to the in-game Battle Pass, <strong>Season 10 is expected to end around December 9, 2025</strong>, which would likely place the launch of Season 11 around December 10.</p>

The launch is set for <strong>December 12, 2025</strong>, meaning Chinese players no longer have to deal with laggy EU or NA servers.</p>



<p>This is a big deal for Blizzard, since it marks a major return to China after years of absence, especially since the company ended its partnership with NetEase, that previously handled titles like World of Warcraft.</p>

<p>Other cosmetic adjustments are expected throughout the game, but gameplay will stay the same as the global version. So basically, same Diablo 4, just a little friendly visual changes here and there.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Why Tempering and Masterworking Changed</h2>



<p>Originally, Tempering was meant to make early item crafting more meaningful, &#8220;<em>better to brick early than later</em>,&#8221; as the devs put it. </p>



<p>But with time the systems became slightly outdated, and were not really giving the results intended. When you &#8220;bricked&#8221; your items, it just felt punishing. That is why Tempering is now fixed, allowing you to directly target the affix you want.</p>



<p>For Masterworking, the new system basically still works the same as the old method, just without all the extra RNG. However, the developers admitted they might have gone <em>too</em> far with this one, and are considering adding a touch more randomness or &#8220;<em>hype</em>&#8221; back into the system in future updates.</p>

<p>Overall, the developers seem focused on creating a crafting system that will feel rewarding for everyone, less frustrating, and without losing the exciting feeling of crafting something better!</p>


Diablo 4 Devs Explain Why Tempering and Masterworking Changed


<p><strong>Season 11 introduces the Tower system, and Halos are confirmed as future leaderboard rewards that are exclusively tied to it</strong>. During the recent <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/new-diablo-4-interview-hints-at-season-11-surprises/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">interview between DuQ and the developers</a>, they confirmed that Halos are coming as exclusive rewards for the new leaderboard system. They do not add power, they are not tied to stats, and they are not part of any gameplay system. Halos are purely visual, but they stand out immediately.</p>



<p>If you saw <a href="https://youtu.be/fzBb0OsE0AY" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">the recent talk</a> and wondered what Halos actually are, here is a quick breakdown.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">So What Exactly Are Halos?</h2>



<p><strong>Halos are a new cosmetic slot that shows a floating effect above your character&#8217;s head.</strong> Envision something like a glowing ring, symbol, or aura hovering clearly above you. It is not linked to your armor or helmet, and it will show up no matter what transmog you use.</p>



<p>The idea is simple. Halos act as prestige items. When someone sees a glowing symbol above your character, they<strong> immediately know you earned it through leaderboard success.</strong></p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Druids Finally Get a Cosmetic Win</h2>



<p>Cosmetics on Druids have always been a problem. Many items break or disappear when shapeshifting, which made certain cosmetics feel pointless for players who spend most of their time in Werebear or Werewolf form.</p>



<p>Halos solve that.</p>



<p>From the information <a href="https://youtu.be/fzBb0OsE0AY?t=1565" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">shared during DuQ&#8217;s interview</a>, it was confirmed that they work in every form:</p>



<ul>
<li>visible in human form</li>



<li>visible in Werewolf form</li>



<li>visible in Bear form</li>



<li>no disappearing when switching between forms</li>
</ul>



<p>This makes Halos the first cosmetic type in the game that fully supports <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/druid/builds/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">every Druid form</a> from the start. For a class that constantly swaps forms, this is a big improvement.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How You Will Earn Halos Through the Tower</h2>



<p><strong>Halos are not something you buy in the shop.</strong> They are <strong>exclusive leaderboard rewards</strong> linked to the <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/is-diablo-4s-new-tower-leaderboard-just-a-ranked-pit/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">new competitive Tower system</a>, although the developers mentioned that the first release will focus on stabilizing the system, with cosmetic rewards rolling out over time.</p>



<p>So<strong> if you want one, you have to climb the seasonal leaderboard and finish high enough to qualify.</strong> They work the same way prestige titles or rare trophies work in other ARPGs. You earn them by proving your build and skill, not by spending Platinum.</p>



<p>Only top-ranked players will receive them. So if you see someone running around with a Halo, you can immediately tell they ranked well during the season. The team also confirmed<strong> there are no participation rewards yet, as the Tower will evolve across updates.</strong></p>

<p>The developers also noted that participation rewards and some cosmetic payouts will be added over time as the Tower matures, so Halos may not appear immediately on day one.</p>



<p><strong>Halos are also character-bound, so you cannot earn one on a leaderboard pusher and then equip it on a fresh alt.</strong> The Halo stays on the character that actually earned it, which makes it a long-term mark of achievement. The devs also mentioned that more reward depth for both solo and competitive players is planned for the future.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">A Real Reward for Leaderboard Climbers</h2>



<p>Halos are a nice bonus cosmetic for most classes, but for Druids they are basically a full upgrade to how cosmetics work. They fix an issue that has been around since launch and finally stay visible in every form. They also give competitive players something cool to show off without touching gameplay balance. It makes leaderboard climbing feel a bit more rewarding, while casual players do not miss out on any power.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Diablo 4 Season 11 Removes a Major Annoyance</h2>



<p>One of the most time-consuming chores every season was unlocking the map again. Even if you had played for hundreds of hours, each new character had to grab most waypoints manually. You had to ride across the world just to restore simple travel routes. It slowed down leveling and felt like busywork. </p>



<p>During the latest <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/new-diablo-4-interview-hints-at-season-11-surprises/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">interview with the Korean creator DuQ</a>, Colin confirmed that this is finally changing in Season 11. If you skip the campaign, the game will automatically open up the world for you. Waypoints and map visibility are linked to the campaigns you have cleared on your account.</p>



<p><strong>To be a bit more precise, this means:</strong></p>

<li>If you have beaten the base game campaign, skipping it gives you all base game waypoints.</li>



<li>If you have beaten Vessel of Hatred, skipping it gives you all waypoints from both campaigns.</li>



<li>In Season 11, skipping the story gives you the entire map uncovered from the start.</li>

<p>You log in, skip, and everything is ready to go. No more riding to random camps just to unlock a teleport.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Season 11 Map Unlock: What It Means for Your New Characters</h2>



<p>Seasonal characters always felt a bit &#8220;reset heavy&#8221;. Even if you knew the world by heart, you had to redo a bunch of small chores just to get your character moving at a normal pace. Waypoints were a big part of that, especially in the early levels.</p>



<p>This new system solves that:</p>

<li>Faster access to Helltides and open world events</li>



<li>No more fog of war cleanup at all (a point many players have been confused about for a while).</li>

<p>Naturally, the community is already full of excitement about this upcoming &#8220;quality-of-life&#8221; change. For example, <a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/diablo4/comments/1oqwig8/comment/nnn2ets/?utm_source=share&amp;utm_medium=web3x&amp;utm_name=web3xcss&amp;utm_term=1&amp;utm_content=share_button" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">on Reddit,</a> players immediately jumped on the topic because for many people, this was one of the top five seasonal annoyances. One user even asked if this was real or <em>&#8220;an AI fever dream&#8221;</em>, but the answer is pretty clear: Colin confirmed it directly in the interview. <strong>This is happening in Season 11.</strong></p>

Diablo 4 Season 11 Finally Unlocks the Full Map at Campaign Skip


<p>Diablo 4&#8217;s <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/is-diablo-4s-new-tower-leaderboard-just-a-ranked-pit" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">new Tower mode</a> is here, and Blizzard is actually giving players a reason to climb all the way to the top. During the recent interviews with content creators Raxx, Rob, and DuQ, devs revealed that the top performers on the Tower leaderboards will have the possibility to <strong>earn exclusive &#8220;<em>prestige cosmetics</em>&#8220;, titles, and even halos</strong>. Those will be character-bound and impossible to get elsewhere.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Leaderboards Reset</h2>



<p>On top of prestige cosmetics, Tower leaderboards will reset regularly, giving everyone a chance to raise to the top and earn the cosmetics. </p>



<p>There will be sort of milestone rewards for clearing tiers like 10, 50, or 100, so any progress is still rewarded with things like items, transmogs, and more.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Everyone Loves Rewards</h2>



<p>All players agree that leaderboards without meaningful rewards often feel bland. There is only so many times you want to rank first if it does not give you anything in return. The devs confirming that rewards are obtainable reassured many players and gives everyone a chance to earn something exclusive.</p>



<p>With prestige titles and halos, players can show off their skills and style for everyone to see. Finally, your hours in the Tower will make you look like an elite!</p>



<p>Even if most cosmetics are character-bound, they still give you something cool to show off each season.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Diablo 4 Season 11: Quick Recap</h2>



<p><a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/everything-you-need-to-know-about-diablo-4-season-11/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Season 11 of Diablo 4</a> is going to be released in the not-too-distant future, and the latest talk with Colin and Zaven gives a clear idea of what the team is currently trying to fix before launch. The interview itself was not a massive reveal session, but more like a grounded update on how difficulty, loot, and the new endgame are supposed to fit together.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Difficulty and the New Pressure Curve</h2>



<p><a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/why-diablo-4-is-redesigning-monsters-and-defenses-in-season-11/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Monsters and their AI are being tuned</a> so the experience lines up with <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/the-pit-of-the-artificers-guide/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Pit</a>. The point is not to make the game unfair. It should always be challenging in a good way, especially for players who know what they are doing. Power fantasy stays intact. If you build defenses, you should not explode from random hits. They also confirmed that<strong> some of the strange PTR moments, like bosses with absurd HP, are getting fixed for the launch on live servers.</strong></p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Sanctification and Crafting Updates</h2>



<p>Sanctification brings back the &#8220;blessed by RNG&#8221; jackpot feeling, where a drop suddenly feels special. At the same time, <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/is-sanctification-just-another-diablo-4-lottery/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">risks and reward</a> levels are still being adjusted.</p>



<p>Lower-tier items can roll badly, but Mythic and Rare items should not get extreme negative stats.</p>



<p><strong>Masterworking and Tempering are getting a bit of their power back after heavy feedback.</strong></p>



<p>Long term, they want loot drops to matter more and crafting to feel cleaner, including possible upgrades for strong blue/magic items.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Pit and Leaderboards</h2>



<p>Season 11 is basically the first testing ground for changes to <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4-is-splitting-its-endgame-into-two-paths/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Pit and the Tower</a> leaderboard system.<br>There are <strong>two reward tracks:</strong></p>



<ul>
<li><a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/is-diablo-4s-new-tower-leaderboard-just-a-ranked-pit/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Tower progress</a> with both functional and cosmetic rewards</li>



<li>Leaderboard rewards with unique prestige titles and the new Halo slot<br>Halos show up in human and shapeshift forms.</li>
</ul>



<p><strong>Resets happen every one to two weeks. A public build viewer is coming, so players can check top builds.</strong></p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Small but Nice Quality of Life Changes</h2>



<p>If you skip the campaign, you get every waypoint and the full map unlocked right away.</p>



<p><strong>There is no DPS meter in the plans, but they want to show clear combat stats after a dungeon run at some point.</strong></p>



<p>Things like stash click delay and a claim all button for the Codex are being looked at during general performance work.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">PTR Structure and Localization</h2>



<p>The PTR uses loot boxes based on real loot logic to simulate actual drop chances. However, the devs say they are open to better tools for target farming and testing.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Druid Cosmetics and Forms</h2>



<p>Shapeshift specific cosmetics are not in the works, but Halos function in every form. <br>Future cosmetics should ideally support all forms from day one.</p>



<p>As mentioned above in the <a href="#the_pit_and_leaderboards">Pits and Leaderboard section</a>, Halos are a new cosmetic that floats above your character and shows up in every Druid form, even during shapeshifts.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Seasonal Systems and Old Features</h2>



<p>Some seasonal powers return in lighter versions, but they do not want the game to turn into a giant stack of old systems.</p>



<p><a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/chaos-armor-guide/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Chaos Armor from Season 10</a> is not coming back. It was simply too strong.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Open World, PvP, and Azmodan</h2>



<ul>
<li><strong>There are no major PvP updates planned, but the team is open to experiments.</strong></li>



<li>Party synergy effects may change, which could bring support roles back for group play.</li>



<li>The open world gets new attention, starting with <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4s-season-11-is-all-about-the-return-of-the-lesser-evils/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Azmodan as a new World Boss</a> for Season 11.</li>

<p>Right now, <strong>the priority is to get the Tower (and Pit) stable and fun.</strong> After that, work on other systems continues. Future seasons may also try some stranger ideas, not just &#8216;standard&#8217; features tied to expansions.</p>



<p>All in all, the interview definitely revealed Blizzard&#8217;s vision for Season 11 and beyond. The devs are not trying to promise the world, but focus on making the core loop feel better. Loot, difficulty, and endgame rewards seem to be lining up in a way that looks much stronger than the early PTR version.</p>
