<p>From October 19 to 22, Xbox players with a Game Pass subscription can play Diablo 4 for free! However, gameplay is limited to 10 hours.</p>



<p>As per <a href="https://news.xbox.com/en-us/2023/10/19/free-play-days-nba-2k24-lawn-mowing-simulator-diablo-iv-and-hokko-life/">Xbox News</a>, players can download the trial and begin their adventure with 10 hours of playtime.  Once players have experienced Sanctuary, eager travelers can buy <strong>Diablo 4 for 25% off</strong> to celebrate the Season of Blood. Players will have access to <strong>all Diablo 4 content</strong> during the trial. Progress will also carry over from the free trial if purchased.</p>

Diablo 4 is Free to Play on Xbox Game Pass This Weekend


<p>We saw a preview of some of the items coming with Season 4, but now it&#8217;s time to check them all out, and in video form! <a class="yt-simple-endpoint style-scope yt-formatted-string" spellcheck="false" href="https://www.youtube.com/@playthatstation">Play That Station</a> went through all the cosmetics, including all 24 weapon transmogs, the armors, the mounts, mount armors, emotes, town portal recolors and more! </p>

<p>Blizzard is investigating an issue with Resplendent Sparks on the Eternal Realms.<br><br>If you have any Resplendent Sparks in your inventory, a bug from the Season 4 patch is preventing you from seeing them. Blizzard is aware of the issue and is working on a hotfix.</p>

Issue with Resplendent Sparks for Eternal Realm Players


<p>With many players very eager to get into Season 4, the issue of pre-downloads has once again come up. Having to wait to download the latest patch at the peak of excitement for it is never fun. Blizzard have now addressed this issue, clarifying that they want to allow a window for players to get the patch before the season launch. </p>

Conquer Season 4: Class Guides and Build Tier Lists Revealed


<p>Players will be spending a lot of time in the new and improved Helltides during Season 4, as so many facets of the activity has been reworked! We&#8217;re going to be taking a look at all the relevant changes, so let&#8217;s dive right in. <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Lower Level Availability</h2>



<p>First off, the big news is that we&#8217;ll be able to get into Helltides immediately when we make a new character. Blizzard have added Helltides to World Tiers 1 and 2, which means we can use the activity for efficient leveling from the get go. The rewards are different in the first two World Tiers, as we won&#8217;t be getting endgame materials, but the XP is still very good! You will still need to either complete the campaign or skip it to be able to access them, however. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Threat Levels</h2>



<p>Helltides now have three threat tiers. As you defeat monsters and open chests the threat meter will fill up and you&#8217;ll move up the ladder. Each tier increases the frequency and danger of monster ambushes. Dying or defeating the final ambush will reset your meter. </p>

<p>Stronger monsters fill the gauge up faster, and eventually you will get Hellmarked. This will spawn a maximum monster density ambush on you, which will also include a Hellborne boss. The Hellborne are very much like Blood Seeker from Season 2. They are class archetypes and use class skills against you. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Blood Maiden Boss and Baneful Hearts</h2>



<p>There&#8217;s a new currency you may have noticed above, the Baneful Hearts. These drop from Tormented chests and from Hellborne demons and Doomsayers in the Helltide, with the Hellborne bosses having a guaranteed drop. You need three of them to summon the Blood Maiden, the new Helltide boss. You can summon her at the three Accursed Altars marked on the map:</p>

<p>If you contribute to the summoning of the boss (by adding at least one heart) you will get increased rewards from her. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Even More Improvements</h2>



<ul>
<li>The Profane Mindcage is a new Elixir, which will increase the level of Helltide monsters by 10 and boost Aberrant Cinder drop rates. It drops from Hellborne bosses and will only be available in Season 4.</li>



<li>Monster density had been improved overall, and Helltides are now the best way to get raw XP.</li>



<li>There are Hellspires in the zone and if you stand near them you lose health and spawn in enemies, similar to the Season 2 mechanic. </li>



<li>Helltide-specific Whisper bounties have been added, and Whispers have been buffed across the board as well! </li>

<li>There are also brand new events to be found in Helltides. Doomsayer, Iron Wolf and Demonic &#8220;pop-up&#8221; events can be found all over the map. The Doomsayer events also have a Treasure Goblin variant.</li>



<li>The Aberrant Cinder pick up radius has been increased.</li>



<li>Opening Helltide chests is now much faster. </li>



<li>In case you missed it from Season 3, Helltides are now almost permanently up, with only a 5 minute break between them. </li>

<p>Season 4 is upon us today, so it&#8217;s time to take a look at the so far revealed cosmetics coming with the Loot Reborn Battle Pass! </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Free Battle Pass</h2>



<p>Starting with the free track, there are 5 full armor sets, one for each class:</p>

<p>The interview went in-depth on many topics, with Jackson sharing the design intent behind many of Blizzard&#8217;s decisions and potential future plans. Here are just some of the topics covered:</p>



<ul>
<li>The crazy stackable Golem Mastery rank items were brought up. They were present on the PTR and will be removed for the actual season release, but you&#8217;ll still be able to get a pretty high passive rank nonetheless, just not 20+ high. </li>



<li>The endgame was tackled as well, with the difficulty of retaining players, the nature of aspirational goals as opposed to direct item rewards, the limitations of creating new content, and more being touched on. </li>



<li>Skill changes were also brought up, but the focus is on the item side of things right now, as you might expect. </li>



<li>DPS meters are a hot topic, and they&#8217;re not entirely ruled out. </li>



<li>An even hotter topic, the map overlay from previous games, was also discussed, and it&#8217;s not entirely off the table.</li>

Golem Mastery, DPS Meters, Map Overlay and More: Lead Class Designer Interview


<p>What does the new Rogue look like in <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/diablo-4-latest-season/">Season 4</a>? </p>



<ul>
<li>Rogues received two new Unique Items in the update &#8212; <strong>Scoundrel&#8217;s Kiss</strong> and <strong>Saboteour&#8217;s Signet </strong>alongside a new Legendary Aspect called <strong>Aspect of High Velocity</strong>.</li>



<li>Inner Sight and Preparation saw big changes, such as a boost in Critical Strike Chance by 25% when the Inner Sight gauge is full and a reduction in energy requirement for Preparation from 100 to 75, making the skills much more dynamic and useful.</li>



<li>For Stun Grenade, the base duration for grenades has doubled.</li>



<li>The Victimize passive proc chance increased to 50%.</li>



<li>Exploit Weakness and Leyrana&#8217;s Instinct have been tweaked to offer increased damage and dodge chance.</li>



<li>Chip Glyph now offers a more substantial physical damage bonus of 9.9% for each 5 Dexterity.</li>

What’s New for Rogues in Season 4?


<p>The latest (and possibly greatest) Diablo 4 season is a little over a day away! Loot Reborn bringing the fastest way to maximum level in the game so far with <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/major-leveling-and-experience-xp-changes-shake-things-up-in-diablo-4-season-4/">its many XP improvements</a>. Coupled with our leveling guide, you will be getting to 100 extremely quickly. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Did Leveling Change in Season 4?</h2>



<p>Season 4 will bring many improvements and cut down plenty of time in the leveling department. First off, experience gains have been increased as much as 50% in all World Tiers except No.1. Secondly, events in dungeons are now more worth-while, as they have also had their XP gains buffed. So don&#8217;t skip those when you&#8217;re in a dungeon! And as a final bonus, there are now rank 2 elixirs, which increase XP gains by 8%. This can be relevant for the later levels. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Are Helltides the Place to Level in Season 4?</h2>



<p>In short: absolutely. Season 4 is very much the Helltide season, as there have been many changes to it. There&#8217;s significantly increased mob density via the new Threat system, with more and more enemies attacking you as you gain more threat. At the maximum threat level, you will be ambushed by a maximum enemy density group, with a boss at the end. </p>



<p>Helltides are the way to go early, as they now appear in World Tiers 1 and 2 as well. Once you arrive in WT3, you&#8217;ll want to split your attention between the tides and Nightmare Dungeons. At WT4 your focus should mostly be on the dungeons, due to Paragon Glyph experience. Here&#8217;s a snippet from <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/speed-leveling-guide/">our guide</a> on the subject: </p>



<p>&#8220;Depending on your skill, level, build and/or party you’re playing with, you may end up having a better leveling efficiency through Helltides over Nightmare dungeons. If this is the case you should always have Helltide as a fallback for gear upgrading and material collection, as the Nightmare dungeons provide you with Glyph experience that will boost your power significantly!&#8221;</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">When Should I Do the Level 70 Capstone Dungeon and Go for WT4?</h2>



<p>This question is always extremely connected to the power of your current build and gear you&#8217;ve managed to collect. While certain very powerful builds can take the dungeon on as early as around level 50, you should probably wait until at least 60 so you don&#8217;t waste time. It takes a while to get to the boss, and while you could get there with a weaker build, he may prove too much for you and then you&#8217;ll have to re-clear it all once you return. Elias can be tricky!</p>
