This New Nightmare Dungeon Affix Can Flood Diablo 4 With Mythics

Season 11 of Diablo 4 has barely started, and although the Paladin is a very fun new addition this time around, there is something else that players discovered: One of the craziest Nightmare Dungeon modifiers the game has seen so far. It is called Mythic Prankster, and it can completely flood your screen with endgame loot.

How the Mythic Prankster Affix Works

When you find a Nightmare Sigil with the Mythic Prankster affix, the dungeon spawns a special purple Treasure Goblin. Killing it will drop five guaranteed Mythic Uniques per player in the party. Yes, guaranteed.

That means:

  • 5 Mythic Uniques when running solo
  • Up to 20 Mythic Uniques in a full four-player group within a single dungeon

On top of the Mythic Uniques, the goblin also drops:

This affix can appear on Nightmare Dungeon keys that drop naturally, so there is no special activity required to get one. Once activated, the dungeon behaves like a normal Nightmare Dungeon, but with one important change: Monsters also gain 33% increased movement and attack speed, so things can get chaotic rather fast.

One important thing to keep in mind is that the Mythic Prankster goblin has very low health. If you are playing in a group, make sure everyone is nearby before killing it, or someone might miss out on the loot explosion.

Early runs have already confirmed absurd results, with players walking away with multiple Harlequin CrestHarlequin Crest, The GrandfatherThe Grandfather, Ring of Starless SkiesRing of Starless Skies, DoombringerDoombringer, and more. Salvaging extra Mythics also feeds directly back into crafting, which then lets you roll even more endgame gear.

This is not a bug or some weird one-off trick. Mythic Prankster is a real Season 11 affix, and if you are lucky enough to find one of these keys, it is worth taking your time. Grab a full group, stay close, and make sure everyone is there before the goblin goes down. The rewards are too good to rush through alone.
