The official Diablo account has shared a new short-form video highlighting what is coming with the Lord of Hatred expansion. At the same time, it reminds players that the Paladin is already playable right now through pre-purchase early access.
What Is Coming with Lord of Hatred
The video quickly runs through what players can expect next. This includes a new campaign that leads to a final showdown with Mephisto, a completely new region called Skovos, added skill variants, and the new Talisman system.

Blizzard also shows the return of the Horadric Cube, which long-time Diablo fans will instantly recognize. On top of that, the video briefly mentions new endgame systems like War Plans and Echoing Hatred, which are supposed to help with long-term progression.
One of the more unexpected reveals is fishing. Blizzard confirms that fishing is being added to Sanctuary. The video also calls out permanent updates for all players, including loot filters, skill tree changes, and a level cap increase.
Lord of Hatred launches on April 28, 2026.

What Players Are Focusing On
Although the video itself is rather short, a few points immediately stood out as they were quickly discussed online throughout social media:
- Paladin is playable right now, which is currently pulling many players back into Sanctuary
- Two new classes total, with a second one still being kept secret
- Fishing quickly became the most joked-about reveal across social media
- Horadric Cube returning is pure nostalgia for long-time Diablo fans
- Free updates for all players, including loot filters and skill tree changes
We have already covered several of these features in more detail, including fishing, the Horadric Cube, Skovos, Loot Filters, and Paladin early access, if you want a deeper look at any of them.
With the Paladin already live and more expansion details falling into place, the video is great as it provides a quick look at where Diablo 4 is heading next. Exciting times ahead!
