If you are somewhere around Paragon 250 to 270 right now, you have probably had that moment where you log in, run a few hordes, and just stop. Not because your build cannot handle it, but because the grind suddenly feels a bit off… and exhausting.
However, according to a lot of players pushing endgame this season, that is not a you problem. It is a general farming problem in Season 12.
Bloodsoaked Is Not Worth It Right Now
Hitting Pit 100 and unlocking Bloodsoaked content sounds like the logical next step. Harder content, better rewards, right? Not in Season 12 of Diablo 4.
At endgame, the same issues keep coming up:
- Bloodsoaked runs take much longer
- The difficulty spike is quite noticeable
- The XP gain does not keep up with the extra time spent
So instead of speeding up your grind to 300, you end up dragging it out. That is why a lot of players are skipping it entirely.
Bloodstained Hordes Are Still Best
The current meta is a bit funny. Players are going backwards, not in power, but in content choice.
Bloodstained hordes remain the go-to for the simple reason that they are fast, consistent, and do not waste your time. Even on lower Torment tiers, they tend to deliver better XP per hour than struggling through higher-tier Bloodsoaked runs.
The Workaround You Need to Know
Here is where it gets a little bit awkward. Once you clear Pit 100, your keys flip to Bloodsoaked, and the game does not give you a clean way back. Players found their own fix using stash and stacking behavior to force compasses back into Bloodstained. It works, and right now it is basically part of the grind. We covered how to do this in more detail.
Paragon 300 Is Further Than It Looks
Even with efficient farming, there is a reality check waiting. Around Paragon 284 is roughly the halfway point, and the final stretch feels like an entirely different grind.
The big question, really, is whether it is worth it at all. The rewards for hitting 300 are not particularly exciting given the time investment, which makes it hard to justify for a lot of people.
If you are going for it anyway, the short recommendation is to not pass Pit 100 if you can avoid it, and if you already did, use an alt to swap your compasses back to Bloodstained. It will still take a while, but at least you will not feel like you are wasting your time.
