Blizzard finally pulled the curtain back on the Paladin, the new class coming to Diablo 4. The reveal happened live during The Game Awards and came with a cinematic trailer that shows what the Paladin looks like in action.
The Paladin is available today for anyone pre-purchasing the next expansion: Lord of Hatred!
First Look at the Paladin
The trailer makes the fantasy clear right away. Heavy armor, bright holy effects, and a steady, grounded-looking combat style. You see the Paladin cutting through enemies with simple weapon swings that get boosted by a shield-weapon combo and bursts of holy light.
The Paladin mixes direct weapon hits with holy damage, so nothing looks out of place if you have played older Diablo paladins before. Hopefully, there will also be room for different styles, including stronger frontline options or more group-focused setups if you want to support other players.
When You Can Play the Paladin
The Paladin is playable now in Diablo 4 for anyone who pre-purchases the next expansion, probably dropping at the same time as Season 11 later today.
This class brings back a classic holy warrior style that Diablo players have wanted for years. It looks to come with a strong mix of melee and holy magic, and finally adds a new way to play Diablo 4. We will cover more details, such as builds, class mechanics, and skill interactions, soon, so make sure to check out our Diablo 4 news hub.
