Blizzard released the full Season 11 patch notes last night, and Rogues ended up getting more adjustments than expected. If you are planning to play the class next week, here is a quick breakdown of the changes, from buffs, nerfs, QoL adjustments, and even a new Unique!
General Balance Changes
- Dexterity damage scaling increased: 1.1% → 1.25% per 10 Dexterity.
A small but universal boost that helps every Rogue build, no matter what you are running.
Skill & Passive Adjustments
- Healing reduced: 10% → 6%
- Healing per rank reduced: 1% → 0.5% Max Life
These adjustments slightly tone down Rogue sustainability, but without affecting it too much either. This should not specifically “nerf” the concerned builds to a point where they would be unplayable. You might just have to be a bit more careful when you rush through large packs of monsters.
Legendary Aspect Updates
Trickshot Aspect: 10-30% → 20-40% damage
Bladedancer’s Aspect: 100-120% → 100-140% damage
Both ranged and melee Rogue builds get a straightforward damage bonus here, and as a Rogue main, that is always appreciated.
Unique Item Changes
Windforce: Triple damage chance vs Knocked Down now goes up to 100%
Scoundrel’s Kiss: Bonus damage now is between 50-70%
Deathmask of Nirmitruq: Up to 130% bonus damage
Beastfall Boots: PTR Energy nerf reverted
Most classic Rogue Uniques simply hit harder now and feel better at endgame.
Tempering Changes

Stutter Step affix removed - Rogue Persistence tempering option removed
Dance of Knives “double damage” bug fixed
With all the changes made to Tempering in general, a few tempers have been removed, and the
Dance of Knives bug has finally been fixed as well!
Specialization Update
The Rogue is one of the classes that needs the most to get a proper change to Specialization options. At this point, they are outdated, and two out of three are barely used in any build. This is just a small change, but it is a start. Inner Sight was slightly reworked. Now, when your gauge fills, you get:
- Instantly restore 300 Energy
- 100% Energy Cost Reduction
- +25% Critical Strike Chance
- +25% Critical Strike Damage
Same idea as before, but with a far bigger and better payoff at least.
Additional Skill & Aspect QoL
Shadow Clone now reliably mirrors your skill targeting
Aspect of Star Shards:
Dance of Knives gets +30% damage per Combo Point
Galvanized Slasher’s Aspect: Now restores 100 Energy (instead of full restore)
These should make Combo Point and
Dance of Knives setups smoother to play.
Unique Affix Adjustments
These Uniques now roll Dexterity instead of niche defensive affixes:
Cleaner stats mean fewer frustrating rolls. This way you should get the stats you need faster, instead of rolling on defensive stats that you never need.
Paragon Node Update
Deadly Ambush
- Now increases Crit Damage and Damage Over Time to enemies affected by your traps.
A nice buff for
Poison Trap and
Death Trap players.
New Rogue Unique: Death’s Pavane (Pants)
This new Unique item can drop from Andariel and Duriel only, so you want to farm those!
Affixes include:
- +15% Dodge while channeling Dance of Knives
- +9-11% Crit Chance
- +16-25% Movement Speed
- +2-3 ranks to Dance of Knives
- +62.5-85% Agility Damage
Unique Effect:
Dance of Knives causes enemies to drop knives. Picking them up gives you 1 Charge and boosts Dance of Knives damage by 10-20% for 6 seconds, stacking up to 3 times.
Perfect for anyone playing around with a fast and deadly Dance of Knives build. Will it be the meta build for Season 11?
Overall, Rogues walk into the new Season with better itemization, stronger Aspects, better scaling, and a new Unique that should make it even more fun to play.

- Bonus damage increased from 70-100% to 70-130%.

Specialization
Inner Sight
- Previous: Attack enemies to fill your Inner Sight gauge. Marked enemies fill it faster. When full, gain unlimited Energy and 25%[+] Critical Strike Chance for 4 seconds.
- Now: Attack enemies to fill your Inner Sight gauge. Marked enemies fill it faster. When full, restore 300 Energy, and gain 100% Energy Cost Reduction, 25%[+] Critical Strike Chance, and 25%[x] Critical Strike Damage.
Skills
Shadow Clone
- Shadow Clone’s copied skills will now more consistently target the initial target of the skill.
Legendary Aspects
Aspect of Star Shards
- Dance of Knives damage increased by 30% per Combo Point spent.
Galvanized Slasher’s Aspect
- Now restores 100 current Energy in your resource meter instead of fully restoring Energy when the effect is activated.
Now restores 100 energy instead of full restoring.
Unique Items
Beastfall Boots
Now can only consume up to 500 Energy.
Scoundrel’s Leathers
- Damage Reduction from Trapped Enemies affix replaced with Dexterity.
Eyes in the Dark
- Damage Reduction from Trapped Enemies affix replaced with Dexterity.
Bands of Ichorous Rose
- Maximum Poison Resistance affix replaced with Dexterity.
Paragon
Deadly Ambush
- Previous: You deal 50%[x] increased Critical Strike Damage to enemies affected by your Trap Skills.
- Now: You deal 50%[x] increased Critical Strike Damage and Damage Over Time to enemies affected by your Trap Skills.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where the tempering affix for Dance of Knives to deal Double damage could stack to deal incredibly high values.
