Diablo 4 Sets the Date for Its Big Season 11 Reveal


<p>Geoff Keighley <a href="https://x.com/geoffkeighley/status/1994609007672381595" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">casually shared a photo</a> of a bizarre, hellish monument standing in the middle of the desert, and it immediately sent everyone into speculation mode. The timing, the design of the &#8216;statue&#8217;, and the general vibe all point toward something bigger waiting to be revealed. With <strong>The Game Awards coming up on December 11</strong>, everyone is now wondering about what this thing could be teasing.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">A Demonic Monument Appears in the Desert</h2>



<p>The <a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/diablo4/comments/1paaleu/now_im_not_a_diablo_player_but_what_do_yall_think/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">image shows</a> a massive, hand-carved structure rising from the sand. In daylight, it looks like a twisted mass of bones, bodies, creatures, and armored figures wrapped around a sealed doorway. At night, the entire core lights up in blazing red, almost like a pulsating portal with tendrils of fire stretching outward.</p>

<p>It feels intentionally theatrical.<br>It feels… definitely video game-ish.<br>And it absolutely looks like the kind of teaser that studios drop right before a big announcement.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Why Diablo 4 Is the Leading Theory</h2>



<p>Out of all the possibilities of what game this structure could be for, Diablo 4 comes out on top for one simple reason:<strong> the aesthetic fit almost too perfectly.</strong></p>

<p>The monument’s theme matches a lot of what Blizzard has used in recent Diablo marketing: hellish architecture, organic shapes, corrupted stonework, and that iconic red glow. The sealed &#8220;door&#8221; at the circular core in the center even resembles the infernal gates seen throughout <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/diablo-4-latest-season/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Diablo 4</a>.</p>



<p>The timing also fits Blizzard&#8217;s usual patterns.</p>



<p>Season 10 is <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4-season-11-reveal-livestream/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">likely going to end</a> just two days before The Game Awards, and <strong>multiple developers previously hinted that the next big Diablo reveal would happen before the end of the year</strong>. With <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/vessel-of-hatred-overview/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Vessel of Hatred</a> now being well behind us, it would be the perfect moment for the second expansion of Diablo 4 to finally be unveiled. </p>



<p><strong>If this structure is indeed linked to Diablo, it could signal:</strong></p>



<ul>
<li>A Hell-focused expansion</li>



<li>Mephisto returning as the main antagonist</li>



<li>Or even a new class reveal, such as the Paladin/Crusader (due to the armored bodies within the structure), which has also been the community’s top request for a while now.</li>
</ul>



<p><strong>None of this is confirmed yet</strong>, but the puzzle pieces fit a little too neatly.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Other Possibilities Still in the Mix</h2>



<p>Of course, nothing is officially connected. Geoff Keighley is known for dropping cryptic teases, and a few other franchises have been floated as possibilities. There are also fans stating that they see hints of DOOM&#8217;s creepy aesthetic, as well as games such as Lords of the Fallen or even The Elder Scrolls. However, it could also belong to an entirely new IP.</p>



<p>But compared to those guesses, the Diablo angle is the one that consistently lines up in theme, tone, and timing.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Game Awards Are Almost Here</h2>



<p>Keighley rarely posts something this strange without a reason. If this monument is part of a larger announcement, <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/everyone-should-watch-the-game-awards-say-diablo-4-devs/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">we will probably find out on stage</a> next week on December 11.</p>

Is the Game Awards Monument Teasing Diablo 4’s Next Expansion?


<p>Titan Comics has <a href="https://titan-comics.com/news/pre-order-diablo-dawn-of-hatred-1/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">announced a new Diablo comic</a> for early 2026, and the timing is interesting. Dawn of Hatred #1 <strong>releases on February 11, 2026</strong>, and the story takes place after Diablo 4 and after <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/vessel-of-hatred-overview/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Vessel of Hatred</a>. Blizzard has been very quiet about the game&#8217;s long-term plans lately, so this comic might be the first thing that continues the story in any way.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Akarat’s Return and What the Story Focuses On</h2>



<p>The plot<strong> focuses on Akarat</strong>, the founder of the Zakarum faith, who somehow returns from the dead. He is back to spread peace and Light, heals the leader of the Fox Tribe, and quickly gathers followers again. Not everyone is convinced, though. <strong>The comic follows Derris, a member of the tribe</strong> who does not trust how quickly things are changing, and Vrexia, another outsider who joins the caravan.</p>



<p>Things seem to escalate when assassins attack Akarat, forcing Derris to choose between helping him or letting the tribe deal with the fallout on its own. The preview snippet of the comic also hints at the usual <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/do-you-really-know-your-way-around-diablo-4s-sanctuary/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Sanctuary</a> theme: even if someone arrives with good intentions, violence eventually finds its way back.</p>

<p>There is also some bigger lore context worth keeping in mind. <strong>The Angiris Council </strong>is still recovering after the events of <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d3/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Diablo 3</a>. Heaven is sealed, two Council seats are empty, and angelic forces are weakened. Meanwhile, Hell is reorganizing, and<strong> Inarius&#8217;s followers are still active.</strong> With Vessel of Hatred out for a while and the upcoming expansion being planned for 2026, the timing feels rather deliberate.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How To Pre-Order Dawn of Hatred</h2>



<p>The comic has several cover variants, including foil editions and a sketch cover. <p>Nothing confirms that Dawn of Hatred is directly connected to <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/after-paladin-is-witch-doctor-the-next-diablo-4-class/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Diablo 4&#8217;s next expansion</a>, but the release window and the story placement sure make it feel like something worth keeping an eye on.</p>

This New Diablo Comic Might Hint at What Comes Next


<p>Once again, Diablo 4 players are circling back to the same question: <strong>why do pets still pick up so few items?</strong></p>



<p>A recent Reddit discussion has pushed the topic back into the spotlight as fast builds and new loot types make the current system feel more outdated than ever. With more items being added <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/diablo-4-latest-season/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">each season</a> and players moving even faster through content, many feel that pets are becoming less helpful instead of more useful.</p>



<p>The thread focuses on a familiar pain point: missed runes, missed Animus orbs, and small drops that vanish the moment you sprint offscreen. And since pets only grab a handful of items (and only within visible range), frustration is growing.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Animus Orb Issue That Will Not Go Away</h2>



<p>Animus orbs require you to walk right over them, which does not mix well with speed-clearing. The drop delay after killing elites makes it even easier to miss them while rushing ahead. Players continue having to backtrack or repeat sections of dungeons simply because an orb spawned half a second too late.</p>



<p><strong>This should be handled automatically by pets or mirrored after auto-collection systems in older Diablo titles.</strong></p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Runes Are Disappearing Too Easily</h2>



<p><strong>Runes get lost in the chaos even faster.</strong> Fast or ranged builds often kill enemies offscreen, leaving runes behind without any indication. The community&#8217;s suggestion is straightforward: <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/runewords-guide/#how_to_obtain_runes" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">if a player misses runes</a>, they should appear in the final chest just like other missed loot.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">A Pet System That Cannot Keep Up</h2>



<p>The bigger discussion is about <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/pet-guide/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">pet functionality</a> in general. Sure, pets are cute, but players feel they struggle to keep pace with modern <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/tier-lists/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Diablo 4 builds</a>. They only pick up certain drops, only inside the player&#8217;s visual range, and only after their animation completes.</p>



<p><strong>When you outrun them, which is almost always, items stay behind.</strong></p>



<p>This has led to calls for a full pet overhaul, with ideas such as:</p>

<li>Pickup for runes, Animus orbs, gems, and all small drops</li>



<li>Offscreen collection when players move too fast</li>



<li>Vacuum-style collection during fast clearing</li>



<li>Custom loot filters linked to pets</li>



<li>Pets auto-salvaging or stashing items</li>



<li>Sending pets to sell marked junk</li>



<li>More interactive or combat-supporting pets</li>
</ul>



<p>Players often compare it to Torchlight or <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d3/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Diablo 3</a>&#8216;s updated pet system, saying <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Diablo 4</a>&#8216;s current pets feel mostly cosmetic.</p>

Diablo 4 Players Want Pets To Do More Than Look Cute


<p>Once again, we have <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4s-best-farming-events-are-back-for-a-limited-time/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">two big Diablo 4 events running</a> at the same time, and players have started to notice something interesting in <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/infernal-hordes-guide/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Infernal Horde</a> runs. The seasonal grind is currently getting a bit more attention again after players realized that Infernal Compasses are far more valuable during the current Compass to Carnage event than at any other point <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/diablo-4-latest-season/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">this season</a>. </p>

<p>In short, you can reach high Aether numbers more reliably than ever, which makes this the perfect window to spend your hoarded 6-wave compasses before the season ends.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Something Strange Is Happening in Chaos Runs</h2>



<p>During the event, <strong>Chaos Waves appear much more often.</strong> It is much more common to see four or even five Chaos Waves in a normal ten-wave run. <strong>Even the shorter 6-wave version nearly always includes two waves</strong>, which is just enough to push most groups to the familiar 666 Aether threshold used for <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/chaos-armor-guide/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Chaos Armor</a> farming.</p>



<p>Players also report runs with over 2600 Aether, especially when goblins spawn, which is far above the usual pace. This makes it &#8220;easier&#8221; than ever to finish full armor sets in a single evening, thanks to the increased drops and more consistent wave patterns.</p>



<p>This lines up nicely with the farming events Blizzard brought back recently.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Most Players Agree: This Is the Best Time to Farm</h2>



<p>The mood during these events is very positive. Even players who saved up hundreds of compasses finally feel like they have a reason to use them. Sure, using all of them before the season ends would take days of non-stop farming, but most agree that <strong>this is the strongest moment to push for Greater Affixes or missing Chaos Armor pieces.</strong></p>



<p><a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/chaos-armor-guide/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Chaos Armor</a> should not be salvaged or sold right now unless you are already set for the season. Instead, use the event to complete builds or prepare for alts. Perhaps there is a class you would like to test ahead of Season 11, to have an easier time deciding on what to play then?</p>



<p>In any case, with <strong>Compass to Carnage running until December 2</strong>, this is the best chance to get value out of your compasses before Season 10 comes to an end.</p>

<p>Compass to Carnage is also a great opportunity to finish your reputation board before the season end.</p>



<p>Do not forget that <strong>Season 10 should end around December 11</strong>, so if you still need to complete your reputation or journey, now is the time to farm for it, and those two events are the perfect opportunity!</p>


Diablo 4’s Best Farming Events Are Back for a Limited Time


<p>Diablo 4&#8217;s been through dozens and dozens of changes—tweaks to leveling, endgame loops, bosses, you name it. And sure, most reworks help keep things fresh and in line with the ever-rising expectations of the community. But every now and then, something slips through the cracks. Lately, that “something” has been The Butcher in Diablo 4.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">No Longer Fresh Meat</h2>



<p>The Butcher has been an iconic, recurring nightmare since Diablo 1—one that fans always love to see (or hear) burst into a room. Whether he’s a mini-boss in D1, a random terror in Diablo 4, or a full-fledged fight in D3, The Butcher has always carried weight. But that also raises the question: did the nerfs over the past few seasons cut a bit too deep?</p>

<p>Players have been going back and forth about whether Blizzard should bump his power back up. At launch, The Butcher was a genuine threat—especially since you weren’t rocking the seasonal powers and systems we now take for granted. But as player power skyrocketed season after season, The Butcher stayed frozen in time. Toss in some early nerfs, and now he’s mostly just a glorified damage sponge.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">A More Memorable Encounter</h2>

<p><a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Diablo 4 leans heavily into its endgame</a>, so having The Butcher jump you mid-content <em>should</em> feel like a fun curveball. Instead, for a lot of players, it’s become more of an annoyance—or worse, a non-event. Part of the fix is obviously tuning his numbers so he actually feels dangerous again. But there’s also the question of <em>where</em> and <em>how often</em> he shows up.</p>



<p>At this point, shifting him away from being a pure random encounter might be the better play. <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/the-butchers-back-diablo-4s-latest-affix-turns-boss-fights-into-chaos/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Maybe tie him to an affix.</a> Maybe make him an optional boss with teeth. Either way, he needs something that makes his arrival feel deliberate again.</p>



<p>And knowing Blizzard’s track record, a rework is probably already in the pipeline—just like the big <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/nightmare-dungeon-guide/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nightmare Dungeon overhaul</a> and plenty of other seasonal touch-ups. The only real question is when The Butcher will finally get his swing back.</p>


Has The Butcher Fallen Behind in Diablo 4? Fans Think So


<p>As <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/diablo-4-latest-season" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Diablo 4&#8217;s Season 10</a> approaches its final days, players have started looking back at one of the most important endgame questions, and that is &#8220;<em>who really led the Pit this season</em>?&#8221;</p>



<p>On paper, Season 10 looked more balanced than previous ones. <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/chaos-armor-guide" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Chaos Armor</a> opened the door for experimentation, off-meta builds became viable, and for once it felt like almost every class had a real chance to go far.</p>



<p>But when you take a look at the <a href="https://helltides.com/pit" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Pit rankings on helltides.com</a>, it does not look that balanced. However, keep in mind that this can also simply be due to the fact that most people do not really bother with Pit pushing, and a ton of players this season just had fun experimenting new and various builds!</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Class That Quietly Took Over</h2>



<p>Looking at the highest Pit clears, one thing becomes impossible to ignore! <strong><a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/spiritborn/builds" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Spiritborn</a> completely took over the very top of the rankings</strong>.</p>

<p>Spiritborn pushed further and more consistently than anyone else, going up to Pit 144. The top 100 spots on the board are only Spiritborn. Other classes are capable of clearing <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/the-pit-of-the-artificers-guide" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">high Pit tiers</a> as well, but it seems that Spiritborn players were the ones really pushing hard this season.</p>



<p>Sadly, the leaderboard does not show a ton of build variety. Most Spiritborn setups seem similar, but the class clearly fully benefited from what Season 10 offered.</p>



<p>Chaos Armor played a huge role here. Spiritborn builds could be aggressive and stay extremely mobile, creating the perfect profile for Pit pushing! Fast clears, high survivability, and a ton of damage.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Is the Druid Back?</h2>



<p>Right behind Spiritborn, <strong><a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/druid/builds" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Druids</a> quietly had one of their strongest season</strong>!</p>



<p>This is surprising for longtime Diablo players. Traditionally, Druid is often the class that falls behind in deep endgame pushing. In Season 10, though, they became one of the most reliable classes for high Pit clears.</p>



<p>More high-end players than usual tried out the Druid, and had a ton of fun with it, and that definitely helped push the class further than in past seasons. In many ways, Druids became the <em>real success story</em> of Season 10! Not the absolute best, but finally more competitive.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">And the Rest of the Classes?</h2>



<p>What is interesting is that most other classes were not weak, they were just absent from the very top.</p>



<p><a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/necromancer/builds" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Necromancers</a>, <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/barbarian/builds" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Barbarians</a>, <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/rogue/builds" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Rogues</a>, and <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/sorcerer/builds" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Sorcerers</a> all managed impressive clear levels. Many of them pushed <strong>well above Pit 120</strong>, and that would have been unimaginable a few seasons ago.</p>



<p>The main difference was not power, but representation. Spiritborn and Druids attracted most of the hardcore Pit pushers, and other classes seemed to be played more casually or for build variety rather than pure grinding. At least for this season.</p>



<p>With the amount of possibilities we had, a lot of players were just having fun for once, without thinking about just grinding higher pit tiers.</p>



<p><a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4-season-11-reveal-livestream" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Season 11 is expected</a> to arrive in early December, and it will remove Chaos Armor, replacing it with new &#8220;Divine&#8221; power systems. On paper, this could either:</p>

<li>Keep the creative freedom alive</li>



<li>Or collapse everything back into a narrow meta</li>
</ul>



<p>Right now, it is hard to know what will happen. <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/are-off-meta-builds-still-viable-in-diablo-4-season-11" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">If Season 11 keeps the balance</a>, we could see even more classes competing at the very top. If not, Spiritborn could also easily be replaced by something else!</p>

<p>For those who want to complete the Torment 4 challenge, here are a few tips that will make it really easy for you!</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Preparation</h2>



<p>Before the fight, you will have to make sure you are ready. You do need a well-geared high-tier build for it:</p>



<ul>
<li>Max out your armor and resistances</li>



<li>Max out your Glyphs</li>



<li>Make sure all your gear is Tempered and Masterworked 12/12</li>



<li>Use an Elixir and Incense for extra power</li>
</ul>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Phase 1 Strategy</h2>



<p>During the first phase, here are the main mechanics Lilith will use:</p>



<ul>
<li>She will jump around, and you want to continuously keep attacking as she lands.</li>



<li>When Lilith summons adds, clear them, and continue to DPS. If you have a well-geared build, you should melt the adds rather quickly.</li>



<li>When she jumps again,&nbsp;<strong>move to the edge</strong>&nbsp;of the circular arena. You can either place yourself at the bottom, or on the sides.</li>



<li>This is when the <strong>wave mechanic starts:</strong>
<ul>
<li>Stand near the edge (bottom gives you a better view).</li>



<li>When the waves appear,&nbsp;<strong>evade through it to move across to the opposite side.</strong></li>



<li>From there, you can step left or right to dodge extra waves if needed.</li>
</ul>
</li>



<li><strong>Alternate pattern:</strong>
<ul>
<li>Instead of normal waves, she sometimes creates a&nbsp;<strong>large circle in the middle</strong>&nbsp;with&nbsp;<strong>3 tangent waves</strong>&nbsp;moving outward.</li>



<li>Hug the arena edge and&nbsp;<strong>walk around</strong> it, this easily avoids all damage. With good damage, this phase should end&nbsp;very quickly.</li>
</ul>
</li>
</ul>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Phase 2 Strategy</h2>



<ul>

<li>Use&nbsp;Evade, Teleport, Dash, Flame Shield, Blood Mist, or Leap&nbsp;to escape danger.</li>
</ul>
</li>



<li>When she breaks each section:
<ul>
<li><strong>First section:</strong>&nbsp;Start near it, run around the edge as it collapses.</li>



<li><strong>Second/third sections:</strong>
<ul>
<li>Do not stand directly where she targets.</li>



<li>Wait, then step&nbsp;<strong>into</strong>&nbsp;the safe area and&nbsp;<strong>circle around</strong>&nbsp;the edge.</li>

<p>Even if the video is over a year old, and Lilith was modified a few times, this remains the best strategy today to beat Lilith, and it will most likely still be the best one during Season 11!</p>
