Sanctuary is about to get a taste of DOOM. Starting March 11 with the launch of Season 12, Diablo 4 is also starting the new limited-time Doom: The Dark Ages collab, letting you earn some iconic DOOM-themed goodies!
How to Participate
The collaboration event functions pretty much the same as the Berserk collab did. We get a free Reliquary with rewards you can obtain by collecting a new currency that will drop.
All you have to do is slay demons and collect the Dark Ages Currency. You can then use that to claim DOOM: The Dark Ages cosmetic items.
Elite and champion monsters can drop the currency when you kill them, but Lair Bosses can drop a DOOM Chest that contains Unique Items with DOOM Crucible-themed transmogs!
If you manage to get enough currency and claim all the rewards, you will unlock the last tier and obtain a free Forsaken Gates Town Portal on top of it! This is the highest reward you can get for free during this event.
Other Reliquary rewards include:
- Shield Saw cosmetic
- Slayer’s Flail
- Head of the Cyberdemon back trophy
Sadly, it is mostly weapon skins, with not a single free Pet, Mount, or Skin cosmetic, and this is already making a lot of players quite angry.
However, it is important to remember that this Reliquary is added on top of the main one, and that it is completely free. This means that you do not have to buy the other Reliquary in order to access the collab one.
Free Emblems for Everyone
On top of the free Reliquary, you will also have the possibility to claim a few items for free from the in-game shop. From March 11 to March 15, you can claim DOOM emblems for free:
- March 11: Dark Before the Dawn
- March 13: Grandeur of the Gutted
- March 15: Rip and Tear
Optional Shop Skins
If you are feeling frisky (and do not mind the price), the collab also includes purchasable cosmetics starting March 12. Those include:
- Doom Slayer Armor (cross-class)
- Mecha Dragon Serrat Mount
- The Cyclopian Cackle Pet
- Souls of the Lost Pet
Even if these do not affect gameplay, looking like a Doom Slayer while tearing through Sanctuary is still kind of cool.
Of course, keep in mind that those are paid cosmetics, so nothing forces you to get them. The prices have not been revealed yet, but if it is anything similar to previous collab cosmetics, you can expect a price range of around 20-30 euros for one item. However, nothing has been confirmed yet, so we might be surprised!
For the time being, get ready to Rip and Tear through Season 12!
