The Butcher’s glory days might be behind him. One Diablo 4 player recently went AFK at the entrance of a dungeon, and when the Butcher showed up, things did not go quite as expected.
Instead of being torn apart, the player’s Druid companions instantly shredded the poor demon while they were not even at the keyboard.
The clip, shared on Reddit, shows the Butcher charging in with his “Fresh meat!” only to get devoured by wolves, ravens, and the force of nature in seconds. You can watch the clip on the original post here:
A lot of players could not help but comment about the good old times when the Butcher used to be a scary flesh eating demon:
“I remember when he was more of an ‘Oh shit’ moment,” one player said.
“Now he’s just free loot,” another added.
These days, Diablo 4 players seem to agree that unless you are low-level or just starting out, the Butcher is more bark than bite. Maybe it is time Blizzard gives Sanctuary’s most famous jump-scare a bit of that hellish buff again?
With all the changes that are coming with Season 11, maybe the Butcher is part of the reworked mechanics.
