With Diablo 4’s next expansion, Lord of Hatred, getting closer, players just got a small but very important new look at one of its upcoming classes.
In a short clip shared by the Warlock‘s amazing voice actress, Arianna Ratner, on YouTube, we get a first look at the female version of the class. Until now, most of what we had seen focused on the male body type, so this quickly caught attention, and people love the design!

You can watch the clip directly on YouTube for more details as well.
It is not a full reveal or gameplay breakdown, really just a quick look, but that was enough to get people excited and also talking about the general customization in the game.
The General Problem With Customization in Diablo 4
As usual though, there always seems to be a recurring complaint: character customization in Diablo 4 still feels limited.
A lot of players pointed out the same contradiction on Reddit:
“The game keeps getting more and more premium cosmetics, but the base character creator has not really evolved much.“
Some even joked that a better character creator would be something they would actually pay for, more than the current skins. Others took a more practical angle, saying that after so many seasons, they expected at least a bit more flexibility in how characters can be shaped or personalized.
For example, the hairstyles are very limited, so are the tattoos and piercing options, or face shapes, gear color, and so on…
In other words, the design itself is excellent, but the issue is more that players do not have the tools to push it in the direction they personally want. Of course, some agree that in the end, you never really “see” your character in detail once you play, but most players would still enjoy being able to customize them a little bit more.

Either way, players seem genuinely on board with the direction of the Warlock so far. Both versions of the class are landing well visually, and so is the gameplay of the class. A lot of players are thinking about coming back for Lord of Hatred, and that means the game is heading in the right direction!
