Season 9 of Diablo 4 is still ongoing, and with the game being free on consoles right now, a lot of new players are joining and taking on the bosses. On Reddit, a player who recently finished Vessel of hatred and finally entered Torment 4 to fight Harbinger of Hatred, realized that the fight mechanics, were actually disabling his build!
Pulverize Druid Is Having a Very Bad Time
Pulverize Druid is one of the best builds you can play this season, but it does seem to have an issue with Harbinger of Hatred specifically.
“Picking up one of Akarat’s golden light orbs immediately forces you out of Grizzly Rage and puts it on full cooldown,” the post explains.
Yep. The mechanic meant to help you actually punishes you by ending your Grizzly Rage and even puts it back on full cooldown after. This is definitely something that can completely ruin your rotation, and make the fight quite longer.
Other players seem to have had the same issue with minion Necromancers, where they struggled because the minion keep attacking portals until they die. Some people just avoid the orb mechanic entirely on purpose just to not have to bother with it.
But Is It a Bug, or Intentional?
Interestingly, some players believe the Grizzly Rage interaction is working as intended in this fight, and it would be what we consider “normal” that is the actual “bug”. According to one comment:
“It’s currently bugged where we can recast Grizzly Rage before cooldown, that’s not meant to happen and will probably be fixed next season.”
If that is true, it does not look good for the future of Pulverize Druid.
Until then, maybe just don’t pick up the glowing golden orb of doom, and you should be fine.
