Overwatch is the newest IP collaborating with Diablo 4 in Season 14. This is another one of Blizzard’s in-house collaborations, after last season’s Warcraft-themed cosmetics.
As such, the new Event Reliquary is now available to all players for free. Players wishing to get access to new cosmetics should collect the new currency, called Eye of the Overwatch, which drops randomly from slain monsters, especially Elites.
While people can expect the usual item cosmetics and emblems, Blizzard has also added a new dye combination for the first time, available in the reliquary. The new dye is called Amber Exemplar, and you need 150 of the new currency to unlock it. Once unlocked, it can be used immediately to color any gear pieces.
As expected, the new dye is heavily focused on bright, golden tones, giving your items a strong look that stands out from other dye options.
Players have been vocal about their dissatisfaction with existing dye options, calling for more variety in a game that heavily focuses on item transmogs. This should give players who love customizing their chars some extra eye candy, and if it proves successful, we may see more dye options in future seasons.
