A recent Reddit post got some players excited. Apparently, PS5 users could use Diablo IV‘s Party Finder without a PlayStation Plus subscription. Sounds too good to be true… because it is.

As of now, PS+ is still required for all online multiplayer features on PlayStation, including Party Finder, clans, and trading.
Some players may have reported joining parties without PS+, but these cases seem to be temporary glitches or exceptions, not an official change.
So, if you are hoping to play with friends in Diablo IV, you will still need your PS+ subscription. Consider this a heads-up before trying to exploit any “loopholes” that are not actually there, and that could lead you into trouble or even a ban if you try to play around it!
It is also a good reminder to be careful with what you read online. Just because something pops up on Reddit does not mean it is accurate.
