Easiest Way to Unlock “Fresh Meat” Before Diablo 4 Season 12 Ends

As Diablo 4’s Season 12 gets closer to its end, players are rushing to finish off remaining challenges, and one of the toughest ones is the 9000+ killstreak needed for the “Fresh Meat” title.

Now, one player has shared a route that makes this significantly more manageable.

A Community Route That Really Works

In a recent Reddit post, a player detailed how they managed to hit the 9001 killstreak in a single attempt after struggling in previous runs.

The method focuses on a Helltide in the Dry Steppes (Untamed Scarps), using a loop between:

  • A Blood Maiden summon area
  • A nearby event zone that continuously spawns enemies

The idea is simply to rotate between these two spots to keep your killstreak alive while waiting for enemies to respawn.

The important part of the route is the density. By repeatedly summoning the Blood Maiden using Baneful Hearts, you create constant waves of enemies, and combined with nearby events that also spawn mobs over time, this gives you just enough breathing room to maintain the streak without running out of targets.

It is risky, though, because if you stop too long to activate altars or get stuck or stunned or anything like that, you can instantly end your run. We also recommend not necessarily grouping up for this, or at least not killing in the same area, because you will constantly kill each other’s enemies, and you will end up canceling your killstreaks.

Mobility Is Everything

The original post used a high-mobility Sorcerer build, stacking movement speed and teleport charges to move quickly between packs, but you can easily apply the idea to other classes too:

  • You need fast movement
  • You need wide AoE damage
  • And you need to kill quickly without stopping

Extra Tips

Some players in the comments suggested other builds and added a few additional tips as well:

  • Turn off crossplay to avoid other players stealing kills
  • Avoid tight or enclosed Helltide zones
  • Do not stop for any loot. Basically, any second you lose to pick something up might end your killstreak
  • Use Subo as a merc to spot enemies on the map
  • Rogue build with The UmbracruxThe Umbracrux + Bloodmaiden, or Death TrapDeath Trap with high mobility
  • Amber Sands location often spawns a lot of Hellspires and Ravenous Spires, and you can just loop the area
  • Paladin Auradin with Tyrael's MightTyrael’s Might and additional points for Holy Light AuraHoly Light Aura and Wildbolt AspectWildbolt Aspect to pull in enemies

Some players also mention shrine/spire-based strategies to lock enemy spawns, but results seem less consistent. You basically would have to activate a Hellspire or a Butcher shrine, teleport to town, and back to freeze the timer and have enemies respawn, but if anyone else interacts with the shrine in the meantime, it will not work. We also recommend you do it in a Tier you are comfortable in. You do not want to kill too fast, but you also do not want to take too long.

With Season 13 and the Lord of Hatred expansion launching soon, time is running out to grab Season 12-specific rewards like this one. The 9000 killstreak is not difficult to obtain. You just need a fast build and the proper zone to get it done, then it becomes a lot more doable.

If you have been putting it off, this might be your best shot before the season ends!
