“Everyone Should Watch The Game Awards,” Say Diablo 4 Devs

That is the line Diablo 4 players can not stop talking about right now, straight from the latest developer interview between two devs and content creator Rob.

After going over all the changes to XP, loot, bosses, and new endgame systems, the devs ended with one mysterious message, answering Rob’s question “if Diablo players should watch” The Game Awards:

“Everyone should be watching The Game Awards.”

And with the show happening on December 11, fans are now convinced Blizzard is planning something big.

Expansion or New Class Incoming?

Blizzard did not confirm what is coming, but this kind of teaser almost always means one thing: a big reveal.

The timing also lines up perfectly with Season 11, which changes some of the game’s core systems, and the next big content drop would naturally be the next expansion.

Some players think we might even see a new class announcement, and everyone is waiting for the Paladin/Crusader right around the corner.

Either way, it sounds like Sanctuary’s future will be revealed live on stage.

Season 11 Sets the Stage

The developers already described Season 11 as the foundation for what is coming next, with a full overhaul of progression, crafting, and endgame systems.

Tower Mode, the new competitive challenge with leaderboards and prestige cosmetics, is also coming, and it could tie directly into the next major expansion cycle.

In any case, all signs currently point to The Game Awards being a big moment for the series.
