Big Overhauls in Itemization

Season 11 is changing itemization like never before. Tempering and Masterworking have been completely redesigned:

  • Tempering now lets you choose the affix you want, so no more random rolls. Only one tempered affix can be applied at a time, and charges can be restored indefinitely.
  • Masterworking no longer boosts affix values. Instead, it increases an item’s Quality, giving extra base damage, armor, or resistance. Once maxed, you can roll a Capstone bonus for a Greater Affix.

On top of that, items now come with 4 base affixes instead of 3, making every upgrade feel more meaningful.

Season 11 also introduces Sanctification, letting you channel the power of the High Heavens into your gear. This can grant bonus Legendary powers, improve affixes, or even make your item indestructible, but be careful, once sanctified, your item’s journey ends and you can no longer change it!

Monster Combat Evolved

Enemies in Sanctuary are smarter, deadlier, and more unpredictable. Expect:

  • Unique combat roles for every monster
  • Stronger monster affixes that require attention
  • Reworked champion packs and elite spawns

Monster packs are now more tactical, forcing players to adapt rather than just brute-force through fights.

Defense, Healing, and Renown Changes

Season 11 also changes core survival systems:

  • Toughness replaces some old defense stats, showing effective HP against all damage types
  • Healing potions are now percentage-based and instant, with automatic regeneration every 30 seconds
  • Fortify changes from damage reduction to a temporary Life reservoir for healing over time
  • Renown evolves into Season Rank, rewarding players with skill points, Smoldering Ashes, and cosmetics

Lesser Evils Are Back

Duriel, Belial, Andariel, and Azmodan are returning with new features:

  • Duriel spreads his influence all the way into Helltide
  • Belial‘s trickery turns The Pit into chaos
  • Andariel haunts the Kurast Undercity with powerful shades
  • Azmodan can now appear as a world boss, influenced by other Lesser Evils

Defeating them rewards Divine Gifts, and those will grant both corrupted and purified bonuses.

New Dungeons, Towers, and Leaderboards

Season 11 also introduces:

  • Capstone Dungeons for every difficulty tier
  • The Tower, a timed dungeon challenge with leaderboards, randomized floors, and Pylons for tactical boosts
  • Leaderboards split by class, party size, and Hardcore/Normal modes, letting you see how you rank

Unique Items Are Coming

Expect new uniques for every class, including:

  • Barbarian: Chainscourged Mail
  • Druid: Khamsin Steppewalkers
  • Rogue: Death’s Pavane
  • Necromancer: Gravebloom
  • Sorcerer: Orsivane
  • Spiritborn: Path of the Emissary

Each comes with unique new powers.
