<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How to Get the Bloody Billy Pet</h2>



Bloody Billy is earned through the Season Rank system. This is the system introduced last season to replace the season journey, and it rewards you for completing seasonal objectives as you progress through the season.

Once Rank 6 becomes available, Bloody Billy will automatically be rewarded. The good news is that you do not need to complete every objective in Rank 5 to earn the pet, making it fairly easy to unlock early in the season.

These updates should make the mode more engaging for players chasing high ranks and faster runs.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">New Enemies, Bosses, and Gameplay Adjustments</h2>



Season 12 adds a few gameplay changes that are meant to improve the overall Tower experience:

Blizzard shared a lot more about Diablo 4&#8217;s next expansion, Lord of Hatred, in <a href="https://youtu.be/VwBogPBtkD8" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">Wudijo&#8217;s latest interview</a> with Associate Game Director Zaven Haroutunian, and one detail we learned from it is currently blowing everyone&#8217;s mind: Diablo 4 will jump from Torment 4 to Torment 12. 



That would be a huge endgame change. And from the way Blizzard explained it, this is not just about making numbers bigger. The real point seems to be giving more activities room to scale into late game instead of leaving players stuck with only a few efficient options.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Torment 12 Could Change More Than Just Difficulty</h2>



According to the interview, the extra Torment tiers are meant to bring more of the game closer to Pit-level progression. That includes content like Helltides and Infernal Hordes, with rewards scaling up as well.



That is the part that matters most. Right now, once your character gets strong enough, a lot of the game stops feeling worth doing. If more activities can scale higher, endgame farming could feel a lot less linear. 



However, <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d3/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Diablo 3</a>, for example, eventually expanded its difficulty system all the way to Torment 16, and that structure was often criticized for turning progression into simple number scaling.



Community reactions to this are mixed, too. Some players like the idea because the current jumps between Torment levels can feel rough, and more tiers could help that. However, most think 12 tiers is overkill and worry it just adds more stat scaling instead of real new content.

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Cube Crafting, Charms, and New Build Options</h2>



The interview also gave us a better, clearer look at the new Horadric Cube. Blizzard says it is focused on item modification, not full crafting from scratch. Blue and yellow items may have a longer life because the Cube can help turn a good base into something much stronger.



White items still do not seem to be part of that system right now.



On top of that, charms and seals will be crafted through the Cube, and Blizzard even mentioned a system that can turn a favorite unique into a charm. That is one of the more interesting parts of the interview, because it opens another layer of item planning beyond your normal gear slots.



A few set examples were also shared:

<li>Rogue: auto-cast equipped Marksman basic skill</li>
</ul>



Those examples sound a lot more interesting than simple damage bumps, which is a good sign.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">More Endgame Changes Are Coming Too</h2>



There were also a few other points from the interview that are going to get attention fast. Blizzard says stash space is going up, SSF is still planned once the Tower is in a better place, and Echoing Hatred will use a very rare key that can drop anywhere.



That activity (the Echoing Hatred) sounds especially interesting because it is built around infinite waves and rewards based on how far you get.



Warplans also sound like one of the bigger systems in the expansion. Blizzard described them as a way to customize activities and rewards, with examples like Burning Butcher spawns in Helltides or using Pit clears for loot and currencies instead of Glyph upgrades. If the system delivers on that idea, it could end up being just as important as the extra Torment levels.

Torment 12 is the big headline here, but the interview also made Lord of Hatred sound much bigger than just a new class and region. So, if all these systems work as described, Diablo 4&#8217;s endgame will feel very different once the expansion arrives.

Lord of Hatred Will Push Diablo 4 to Torment 12

The Warlock coming to Diablo 4 does not rely on a single resource like most classes. Instead, the class uses two different resources: Wrath and Dominance.



Wrath is used for the Warlock&#8217;s destructive magic. Dominance is spent on summoning demons and activating their abilities.

That changes how the class plays compared to the rest of the Diablo 4 roster. You are not just casting spells. You also need to decide when to spend resources on damage and when to invest them into your demons.



If you played Diablo 3, the idea might sound familiar. The <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d3/demon-hunter-class" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Demon Hunter</a> also used two resources: Hatred for attacks and Discipline for tactical abilities.

Wrath is the resource used for the Warlock&#8217;s offensive abilities.



A few revealed skills already show how that works:

<li>Umbral Chains links enemies together</li>



<li>Hell Fracture tears open the ground with infernal flames</li>

Wrath powers most of the Warlock&#8217;s direct damage abilities, so it will likely be the resource you spend most often during combat.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Dominance Is Used To Command Demons</h2>



Dominance works differently. Instead of powering spells, it is spent on summoning demons or activating their abilities.

<li>Command Fallen calls a demon that charges a target before exploding</li>



<li>Rampage summons a demon that smashes enemies for a short time</li>



<li>Tortured Wretch brings in a demon that taunts nearby enemies</li>
</ul>



The Warlock class also has larger summons with unique effects. For example, Infernal Breath creates a demonic head that breathes fire, and Profane Sentinel summons a floating eye that weakens enemies and periodically fires blasts.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Managing Both Resources In Combat</h2>

Because spells and summons use different resources, Warlock gameplay revolves around balancing Wrath and Dominance during combat. You will constantly switch between casting spells and summoning demons to control the battlefield.

Blizzard has revealed new lore for the <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4s-warlock-class-lets-you-command-hell-itself/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Warlock class coming to Diablo 4</a> with the upcoming <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4-next-expansion-announcement/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Lord of Hatred expansion</a>. The Warlock is not a hero who fights the Burning Hells from a safe distance. Instead, they tear demons from the abyss and bend them to their will, wielding the very power that once nearly destroyed Sanctuary.



Hell is not their enemy anymore. It is also their weapon.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">A Hero Willing to Use Hell&#8217;s Power</h2>

Warlocks are relentless casters who draw strength directly from the forces of Hell. Instead, their spellcraft is way more violent and confrontational.



<a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/can-the-warlock-stay-in-demon-form-forever-in-diablo-4/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Summoning demons</a> is described as a struggle, a constant battle of wills between the Warlock and the creature being dragged from the abyss. Each spell is a moment of domination, forcing Hell itself to obey.



This dangerous approach defines the entire class. Warlocks want to protect Sanctuary, but they have accepted something most heroes refuse to consider: defeating Hell may require using its own power against it.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Forbidden Legacy of the Vizjerei</h2>

The origins of the Warlock trace back to the ancient Vizjerei Mage Clan, a powerful group of mages whose experiments with demon summoning once helped ignite the events of the Sin War. Some Vizjerei believed humanity could survive the coming darkness only by mastering the powers of Hell itself, but their forbidden research into demonology eventually broke the mage clans and led to a terrible civil war.



When the conflict ended, demon summoning was completely banned once again, and those who continued to practice that art became known as Warlocks. They were hunted and feared across Sanctuary for doing what they were doing.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">A Hidden Link to Diablo 2</h2>



Longtime fans of the series may notice that this story does closely link back to events seen in <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d2/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Diablo 2</a>. In that game, you explored the deserts of Lut Gholein and encountered ancient Vizjerei ruins and things left behind by the clan&#8217;s experiments. These always hinted at a darker side of Vizjerei magic, one obsessed with controlling demons rather than simply studying them. The Warlocks in Diablo 4 are basically the legacy of that clan.



What was once a hidden and outlawed form of magic has now evolved into an entire class, passed down through Warlocks who still believe demonology may be humanity&#8217;s only hope.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Walking at the Edge of Corruption</h2>

Not everyone can become a Warlock. <a href="https://news.blizzard.com/en-us/article/24267728/master-hell-itself-with-the-warlock#Uniques" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">According to Blizzard</a>, if you want ot master this path, you need a lot of willpower and a rare form of insight. Seen as both a gift and a curse, those who have that demonic insight are often rejected by society and feared for the unnatural knowledge they seem to carry. If you survive it, you will be a wandering outcast, looking for forbidden texts and ancient seals left behind by previous Warlocks.



As a Warlock, you also have to go through dangerous training to master various disciplines like:

<li>Force of Will to train your mind to resist corruption</li>



<li>Demonology to understand the nature and hierarchy of demons</li>



<li>Hellfire to master the power of Hellfire</li>



<li>Shadowcraft to learn how to trick and manipulate in combat</li>



<li>And finally, Martial Weaponry is often used as an extension of the Warlock&#8217;s power</li>
</ul>



Even with this knowledge, corruption is always a threat. Nothing guarantees that a Warlock will not lose control, and if they become the very thing they once tried to command, the consequences are terrible.

You Can Now Check the New Warlock Cosmetics for Diablo 4

Blizzard revealed more details about Diablo 4 Season 12 during the latest developer livestream, including how players will obtain the season&#8217;s new Unique items. 



This time, the hunt for new gear centers around a familiar enemy. A new Butcher Lair Boss is being introduced, and every new Unique item added in Season 12 will drop from this fight.



That also means players will not need to chase multiple bosses throughout this season. If you want the new Uniques, the Butcher is the fight you will farm.

The new boss version of the Butcher will appear as part of the Season of Slaughter content. Unlike the random Butcher that can ambush you in dungeons, this one is a <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/the-butchers-lair/#butcher_lair_boss" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">dedicated Lair Boss encounter</a>.



Blizzard also confirmed that all Season 12 Unique items will drop from this boss.

On top of that, the boss will also stay in the game after the season ends. Once Season 12 is over, the Butcher will remain in the game as a permanent Lair Boss, meaning the new Uniques should still be obtainable afterward.

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">One Boss to Farm Them All</h2>



With every new Unique linked to the Butcher Lair Boss, you will most likely spend plenty of time hunting him down this season. If you want to collect all of the new items, this fight will be one of the most important farming spots in Season 12.



And since the boss will stay in the game even after the season ends, this could become a long-term farming spot for Unique gear.

Every Diablo 4 Season 12 Unique Drops From One Boss

<a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4-season-12-makes-bosses-tougher-with-bloodstained-sigils/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Season 12</a> is introducing a new activity called Slaughterhouses, but Blizzard is keeping most of the details hidden under the excuse that players need to discover that one on their own.



What we do know is that Slaughterhouses let players <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/you-can-play-as-the-butcher-in-diablo-4-season-12/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">fully transform into the Butcher</a> for the entire run. Unlike other seasonal mechanics where the transformation only happens temporarily, this activity keeps you in the role of Diablo&#8217;s most infamous demon from start to finish.



 In this form, you really gain access to the Butcher&#8217;s terrifying abilities, including heavy cleaving attacks, charges, and his signature hooks that drag enemies toward him.

Blizzard&#8217;s official description keeps things intentionally vague, simply stating that players will step into the activity to &#8220;slaughter everything in sight,&#8221; before adding that &#8220;some parts of the experience are better discovered firsthand.&#8221;



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Could You Be Hunting Other Players?</h2>



Because Blizzard kept it so secret <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4-revealed-warlock-and-surprising-season-12-details/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">during the livestream</a>, players have already started speculating about what Slaughterhouses might actually involve.



The most interesting theory is that the activity could place players as the Butcher inside other players&#8217; dungeon runs. This would turn them into a boss encounter. In that scenario, you would hunt down players mid-run, either defeating them for rewards or being slain yourself.



This idea would kind of fit well with other Season 12 mechanics, like the Ceremony of Slaughter event in the Fields of Hatred PvP zone and Bloodied Sigils that spawn a relentless Butcher who constantly hunts you through activities.



However, this would also come with a lot of problems. There is a chance that people will run more Slaughterhouses than Nightmare dungeons, so maybe they would end up inside empty dungeons, or one single player would suddenly have ten Butchers running after him. I mean, agreed, this could be fun, but it depends on which side you are on&#8230;



It could also affect ping and things like that, if you are suddenly matched with someone from another region or with bad internet. Chances are you will only encounter NPC&#8217;s in there. 



For now, Blizzard has not confirmed if Slaughterhouses work this way. The full details will likely only become clear once Season 12 goes live and players can experience the activity themselves. All we know so far is that you are definitely hunting something in there. The only question is, what is it exactly?

Players Wonder What Diablo 4’s Slaughterhouses Are Hiding

One of the coolest parts of <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4-revealed-warlock-and-surprising-season-12-details/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">yesterday&#8217;s Diablo 4 livestream</a> was learning more about the Warlock&#8217;s Demon Form.



Players already knew the Warlock could transform into a demon, but one question quickly came up after the livestream: Can you stay in Demon Form forever?



Blizzard confirmed the answer during the Q&amp;A, and it turns out the mechanic works in two very different ways.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Demon Form Can Be Permanent (With One Build)</h2>



During the Q&amp;A, Blizzard explained that most Demon Form variants are temporary and usually only last a few seconds. You can chain them together if your build supports it, but they are still meant to be short transformations. 



The big exception is Metamorphosis, the Warlock&#8217;s ultimate. In its base version, it lets you swap into Demon Form permanently, but it also replaces your entire skill bar with a more specialized setup.

That means yes, a permanent Demon Form build is possible, but it is not something every Warlock will automatically have.



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Demon Form Also Boosts Your Power</h3>



The transformation is not just visual either.



Blizzard&#8217;s <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4s-warlock-class-lets-you-command-hell-itself/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">official Warlock overview</a> confirms that Demon Form increases your Maximum Life, and while it is active, kills increase the damage of your Demonology Skills. The Vanguard Soul Shard also pushes this fantasy even further by adding bonuses that specifically work while you are transformed, including extra Archfiend summons and effects that reward staying in Demon Form longer.



So if you were hoping for a full demon build, that is absolutely on the table. You just have to build for it.

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Warlock Plays Very Aggressively</h2>



Blizzard also stressed during the livestream that the Warlock is not meant to play like a typical caster.



Instead of standing far away like a Sorcerer or relying on permanent minions like most Necromancer builds, the Warlock often fights much closer to the action, summoning demons, consuming them for power, or even absorbing their strength directly.



Demon Form fits right into that fantasy. Sometimes you summon Hell&#8217;s creatures to fight for you. Other times, you simply become the monster yourself.
