<p>Blizzard has published patch notes for the upcoming Diablo 4 Patch 1.2.3 that brings Abbatoir of Zir and Midwinter Blight! The patch is going live on December 5.</p>

        <p>A quick few notes prior to the 1.2.3 update coming to Diablo IV on Tuesday via a same day server side hotfix.</p>
<p>The Melted Heart of Selig will no longer count as the player spending resources when resource is drained from damage taken in PvP zones.</p>
<p>We are doing this because of an interaction that is causing some performance issues for players. Per our earlier commitments, we will make our best efforts to not nerf builds during the Season and we are only applying this as it is impacting player game performance.</p>
<p>For Season 3 this will be fixed for all areas outside of PvP as well.</p>
<p>Separately, when 1.2.3 hits, we will have a known issue with advanced tooltips on the Tears of Blood glyph where it will show bonuses as additive. The icon is incorrect and it is actually multiplicative. That will also be noted in the hotfix notes for Tuesday.</p>

<p>Blizzard have now posted their official preview of the new endgame activity coming to Season 2 on December 5th! When you finish your Seasonal Journey you&#8217;ll be able to craft the Bloodforged Sigil and access the Greater Rift-like activity. With 25 tiers, each significantly harder than the next and each lasting 10 minutes, it is the hardest content in the game. Let&#8217;s take a look at the details:</p>

<p>On <b>December 5th</b>, descend into a most brutish challenge from Zir himself. For those wanderers that have already completed the Season’s Journey, this endgame pinnacle dungeon challenge awaits you. You will have 10 minutes to slay the horrors within and defeat Zir’s loyal Bloodseekers to succeed. On completion of each trial, an even more difficult challenge awaits…</p>
<p><b>Prepare for the Abattoir </b></p>
<p>Ready your blades, review your trusted incantations, and muster all your strength before entering the Abattoir of Zir. In World Tier IV, this challenge serves to test the most formidable wanderers of Sanctuary.</p>
<p>Players must have completed all Chapters of the Season Journey first, before flaying adversaries in the Abattoir of Zir. Once completed, you’ll unlock a recipe to craft a <b>Bloodforged Sigil</b>. Craft this at the Occultist to spawn the Visceral Channel in Ked Bardu which grants access to the Abattoir.</p>

<p>The Abattoir will be the hardest challenge you’ve seen in Season of Blood—the viscera will rain from above as you fight as fast as possible to staunch the Zir’s legions in this pinnacle dungeon. You will only have <b>10 minutes</b> to clear enough enemies to summon the final Bloodseekers, and slay them to emerge bloodstained and triumphant.</p>
<p>Upon successfully completing each tier of the Abattoir of Zir, you’ll gain a recipe to craft the next tier’s Bloodforged Sigil. Completing the first tier of Abattoir of Zir unlocks the Unique Glyph: Tears of Blood.</p>
<p><b>Tears of Blood Glyph</b></p>
<p>The more you thirst, the more you will understand. The Tears of Blood Glyph is essential to conquering the various profligates dwelling in the Abattoir.</p>

<p>A high price is demanded for a Glyph of such strength. The Tears of Blood Glyph requires significantly more experience to upgrade it compared to a typical Paragon Glyph. Fortunately, delving deeper into the Abattoir of Zir can net tremendous sums of Paragon Glyph experience in return.</p>
<p><b>Descend to new Depths</b></p>
<p>The first level in Abbatoir of Zir is similar in difficulty to a level 100 Nightmare Dungeon. From there, endurance and cunning must be utilized for the vampire entrails to mark the evidence of your progress. Each new tier strengthens the Monsters that await, which only increases each time you descend further into the Abattoir.</p>
<p>The Bloodforged Sigil and Abattoir of Zir both go to Level 25, each increasingly more difficult than the last. Ready yourselves wanderer, you have much to see…</p>

<p>It seems the Gauntlet leaderboards aren&#8217;t the only thing to get excited about in Diablo 4&#8217;s next weason! Blizzard announced a big change coming to Helltides in Season 3.</p>



<p>During today&#8217;s Campfire Chat, it was announced that the zone event will be active every single hour in the upcoming season. They will last 55 minutes so there will only be 5 minute breaks between them. </p>



<p>This is in part in response to recent Season 2 issues players having trouble getting Forgotten Souls, but also the longer-standing demand from players to have Helltides active longer. A large part of the reason is also the Living Steel requirements for summoning Duriel. The Living Steel mats drop from Helltide chests, and they got some <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/living-steel-drop-rates-increased-chest-spawns-fixed-november-14th-hotfix/">major buffs in a recent hotfix</a>. </p>

<li>Some content creators already have access to itemization changes planned for Season 4. Blizzard shared them to gather feedback.</li>



<li>Helltides will be up permanently with 5-minute breaks.</li>



<li>When you reach World Tier 4, enemies will have a chance to drop 925 Item Power gear. They don&#8217;t want 925 items to only drop from Uber Duriel and world bosses.</li>



<li>Part of all of this is to find more ways to communicate the devs&#8217; intentions, they don&#8217;t want to overpromise/underdeliver, so they want to provide as many details as possible.</li>

<li>More color palettes could be added in the future, they just have not received any feedback yet.</li>



<li>They like the idea of being able to replay the campaign at a higher difficulty.</li>

<p>Yes. <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/Spartanjaws/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Spartanjaws</a> recently gathered up all the available Uber Uniques after around 250 <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/uber-duriel-boss-guide/">Duriel </a>runs, which is pretty solid luck despite the high amount of kills. Players have been getting the rarest items in Diablo 4 at very differing rates, from two in two runs as we&#8217;ve covered before, to players going even hundreds of runs without any. The RNG gods are indeed random. </p>



<p>However, since Spartanjaws also beat Uber Lilith and probably also did a Tier 100 NMD, we&#8217;d have to say that yes, yes he did beat the game. At least for now! The Abattoir of Zir arrives in just over a week&#8217;s time on Decmber 5th. There players like Spartanjaws can really put their builds and Uber Uniques to the test with some very high difficulty content. </p>

Diablo 4 Steam Discount and Free Trial


<p>The Mother&#8217;s Blessing bug has been fixed! For the rest of the week players will be getting the full 35% gold and XP buff. The tooltip will still show that the buff is only 25% until a patch arrives. But don&#8217;t worry, the actual gains are increased.  </p>

<li>Fixed an issue where the Mother’s Blessing event was only granting 25% instead of 35% bonus experience and gold. This now grants the correct amounts.</li>

<p><em>Developer’s Note: The tooltip in-game will continue to say 25% instead of 35%, but we can confirm that the correct amount of bonus experience and gold (35%) is now being granted after this hotfix.</em></p>

Diablo 4 Patch 1.2.2 Hotfixes: November 20th


<p>The Mother&#8217;s Blessing buff is back this whole week! However, it seems Blizzard forgot a 10% chunk of the bonus. They are working on adding the missing percentage, which should happen quickly. However, you may not see the new 35% number right away when the hotfix arrives, as the visual tooltlip change will require an actual patch</p>

Diablo 4 Mother’s Blessing XP and Gold Buff Bugged, to Be Increased and Live This Week


<p>Blizzard has fixed the issue with players being able to open Living Steel chests multiple times. They have also again addressed a Season Journey completion issue, this time the title not being awarded at its end. </p>
