Paladin Class May Join Diablo 4 in Upcoming Expansion

Diablo 4 players might finally get the class they have been waiting for! Yes, we are talking about the Paladin!

According to a Spanish gaming site, a rare internal build from Blizzard’s servers appears to have accidentally revealed the next class. The build is labeled 2.5.Xpaladin67961, and this heavily suggests that the Paladin is on the way!

What We Know From the Leak

  • The Paladin has been one of the most requested classes since Diablo 4 launched, and it looks like the second expansion will finally add it.
  • Possible early testing
    • The build may already be in the hands of some content creators, giving them a first look and helping Blizzard gather feedback. Patch 2.5 should be for Season 11, but the class will not release now. Major expansions usually get a 3.0 label. So the Paladin is mostly part of a bigger upcoming update. But the fact it got added with 2.5, means it is indeed most likely part of what the content creators invited at Blizzard HQ right now are testing!

A lot of players, us included, are getting excited at the thought of finally seeing the Paladin in action. After years of waiting, this leak also raised a lot of speculation about what abilities and gameplay the new class might bring. Will we finally get a real support role? Only the future will tell!

In the meantime, do not forget that tonight you can join the official Diablo Discord for a Sanctuary Sitdown about Season 10 PTR!
