<p>We now know when Ray Tracing is coming to Diablo 4. NVidia posted details for DLSS and Ray Tracing arriving to many games<a href="https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/news/gdc-2024-dlss-rtx-full-ray-tracing-game-announcements/"> in an article published today</a>, which includes the March 26th release date for D4. </p>



<p>We also got official word from Blizzard that we&#8217;ll be getting a detailed look at the feature (including before and after images/videos) before the 26th.</p>

Diablo 4 Season 4 Developer Livestream: May 2nd


<p>Blizzard have detailed the upcoming Fortunate Finds addition to the store. Starting April 9th, players will begin to see specific individual discounts in their platinum store, with up to 50% off. The offers will be based on the classes you play, and the system will be improved in the future. </p>

<p>Hello Wanderers &#8211;</p>
<p>As you may recall from our most recent Campfire Chat, we mentioned our shop teams have been looking at identifying better opportunities for players to obtain some cosmetics from the shop with some of their earned or purchased Platinum.</p>
<p>A few weeks ago, Class Armor packs began to appear in the shop which brought some popular options into a 2-pack combo for a lower Platinum offering.</p>
<p>Starting tomorrow, April 9th, <strong>Fortunate Finds</strong> will begin to appear in the shop which will include personalized offers for players with individual discounts up to 50% off on select items.</p>
<p>These items and corresponding discounts are catered specifically for each individual based on the classes they play, so they won’t be consistent from player to player.</p>
<p>This being the first iteration, the shop teams will be continuing to refine the UI/UX of this feature as well as the offerings in the future.</p>
<p>We appreciate the feedback from players regarding the shop offerings and will be continuing to make improvements and iterations as time progresses.</p>

Fortunate Finds Personalized Discounts Coming to Diablo 4 Store


<p>Community Lead Adam Fletcher confirmed there are no plans to currently extend Season 4 PTR testing.</p>

<p>Season 4 Public Test Realms went live on <strong>April 2</strong> and we expect Blizzard to take them down tomorrow on <strong>April 9</strong>.</p>

No Plans to Extend Season 4 PTR Testing


<p>Blizzard has updated Legendary Aspect slot requirements in Season 4! Check out what&#8217;s new!</p>



<p>Players on the Season 4 PTR have noticed the following changes to Legendary Aspect slot requirements:</p>



<ul>
<li>Pants now have Utility aspects. Previously, pants only had Defensive aspects.</li>



<li>Amulets now have all types of aspects. Previously, Amulets only had Resource aspects.</li>



<li>The new <strong>Tempering</strong> affixes have the same category types as Legendary aspects. Weapons and offensive offhands have a new category type called Weapon.</li>

Legendary Aspect Slot Requirements Updated in Season 4


<p>We&#8217;re back with the new high level Tormented bosses from the Diablo 4 Season 4 Public Test Realm! This time it&#8217;s the actually new boss addition, Andariel, that&#8217;s getting destroyed. </p>



<p>We&#8217;re taking a look at two runs, both bugged! Rob took her on and just killed her too quickly, so the group had to re-try. You&#8217;ll also notice, well, that you can&#8217;t notice much due to the insane Dust Devil spam, so maybe check out the second video as well for the mechanics. </p>

<p>The second video, with <a href="https://www.youtube.com/@Baskenater">Baskenater</a> and his group, also saw a bugged out Andariel (it is the PTR after all), so we&#8217;ll skip to the second try. The video is in German, but you can at least see the actual boss mechanics this time! </p>

New Level 200 Tormented Uber Andariel Boss Fight in Diablo 4 Season 4


<p>While we currently do not know anything about the upcoming Season 4, some assets from the 1.4 client hint at a theme centered around Iron Wolves.</p>



<p>As initially reported by <a href="https://diablo4.life/news/season-of-the-werewolf">diablo4.live</a>, an asset named <em>2DUI_Seasonal_Reputation_UI</em> contains what looks like a Season 4 badge, which features Iron Wolves.</p>

<p>There is also another minimap icon very similar to the Iron Wolves badge.</p>

<p>Players on the PTR have also noticed some enemies grant reputation with the <strong>Wolf&#8217;s Honor, </strong>so we anticipate a similar reputation system to previous seasons.</p>



<p>We will need to wait until another campfire chat to learn more about the mysterious Iron Wolves!</p>


Datamined Iron Wolves Season 4 Theme


<p>Season 4 brings some extra difficulty bosses to Diablo 4. With materials from the Pit, you can summon level 200 versions of bosses. We&#8217;re taking a look at one of those fights now. </p>



<p><a href="https://www.youtube.com/@P4wnyhof">P4wnyhof</a> took on Grigoire, the Galvanic Saint, and showcased its difficulty with his minion Necromancer. As you can see it&#8217;s pretty difficult, but that&#8217;s not a top geared character, at least not as geared as those that go through all the crafting options will be later on in the season. There might also be major changes to the build used as well.  </p>



<p>There are some pretty close calls there, but if you want to see the kill itself, head to 2:07:25 in the video below. </p>

Level 200 Galvanic Saint Boss Solo, Season 4 PTR


<p>There&#8217;s a new, more zoomed out, view option coming with Season 4. Players have been asking for this feature pretty much since the game launched, and we finally get to see it in action on the PTR! We saw screenshot comparisons before, but this one really shows it off well. </p>

New Season 4 Zoom Level Direct Comparison


<p>The Pit seems to be the ultimate endgame for Diablo 4 in Season 4, with hundreds of levels to beat. Now that the PTR has arrived, we get to see those high levels in action! Rob and others have taken on a level 200 Pit. That&#8217;s all the levels available so far. It&#8217;s unclear if the 200-mark will be the maximum when the season launches as well.</p>



<p>Rob&#8217;s is a pretty ridiculously fast clear, taking around 2 minutes out of the 10 available. The Dust Devils not only take up most of the screen, they also delete everything in their path after the recent buff to fixed-damage legendary Aspects. So, let&#8217;s take a look, and don&#8217;t forget, this is just the PTR and things will get a LOT more tuning.</p>

<p><br>But Rob wasn&#8217;t the only one going for the max Pit, as <a href="https://www.youtube.com/@arccueid2866">Arccueid</a> also took it down with their Blizzard Sorcerer build, in only 5 minutes, with a bit of a trickier boss fight at the end. </p>

Diablo 4 Season 4 Highest The Pit Level 200 PTR Run (New Rift-Like Endgame)

<p>As we prepare for the start of the first Diablo IV PTR (Public Test Realm), we want to remind everyone what PTR is and what are some of the larger known issues that you may experience in this testing period. PTR allows players to check out and provide feedback on some of the content coming to Diablo IV in the near future.</p>
<p>Due to PTR being a preview of upcoming content, please note that many things are still in the early stages, and we have identified several notable ones in the list below. You should expect to see some less polish in a PTR from what you see in the final release, and that is totally normal. We can assure you that these items will be addressed before the start of the new season along with other smaller items that may not be listed below.</p>
<p>We are looking forward to the feedback the Diablo IV community provides throughout this PTR process, and we are thrilled to have everyone jump into the big changes coming to Season 4.</p>
<p><strong>Tempering</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Some Legendary Tempered Affixes do not increase in area of effect size correctly (Leap)</li>
<li>Legendary Tempered Affixes with duration do not increase skill as expected (Rogue Shadow Clone, Steel Grasp)</li>
<li>Some Tempered Affixes with +skills do not always work as intended when upgraded. <em>This issue may also apply towards non-upgraded Tempered Affixes and other general Affixes as well.</em></li>
<li>Barbarian Dust Devil Legacy Tempered Affix might cause performance issues</li>
<li>Druid bonus damage to companions affix doesn’t function as intended</li>
<li>Druid bonus critical strike chance after using Shred affix doesn’t function as intended</li>
<li>Druid Poison Creeper magic recipe does not apply for the passive damage over time bonus</li>
<li>A Tempered or Masterworked item unbinds from the account if the player exits and re-enters the game</li>
<li>The Temper Item button disappears after placing an item with the maximum rank of the Masterworking in the Masterworking slot</li>
<li>Player can temper an ineligible non-Ancestral item without results if an Affix is selected first</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Masterworking</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Masterwork ranks do not reset after selecting the Reset Masterwork Ranks button</li>
<li>Bonus ranks to skills are not highlighted when the milestone bonus procs on them</li>
<li>When trying to upgrade an item using the Masterworking menu, a missing string displays</li>
<li>The chance to upgrade percentage isn’t highlighted after a failed roll</li>
<li>Item preview upon completion of Masterworking results is displaying a magic item instead of the actual item</li>
<li>The game soft locks when the player uses the Reset Masterwork Rank button while having insufficient amount of gold and materials to masterwork</li>
<li>Razorplate Unique Chest Armor does not masterwork properly</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Helltides</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Helltide map overlay and UI does not properly clear if Helltide ends while in a dungeon or cellar</li>
<li>Blood Maiden summoning altar does not show up on map until the player gets close</li>
<li>Some monsters in Helltide may spawn partway into the ground</li>
<li>Doomsayer Bounty in Fractured Peaks will sometimes display in the wrong subzone</li>
<li>Harbingers spawned by Ravenous Soulspire and Hellspire events do not progress the bounty</li>
<li>The Accursed Ritual area to summon the Blood Maiden only appears on the minimap if the player is close enough to it</li>
<li>Some performance issues may be encountered on lower specification machines</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>The Pit</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Crafting cost does not match amount of currency consumed</li>
<li>After using the PTR boost, the Pit unlock quest does not inform the player where to get Runeshards</li>
<li>There is no warning when an activated Pit tier resets a Nightmare Dungeon</li>
<li>Players can leave and re-enter via town portal</li>
<li>Players may encounter issues when activating The Pit in succession.
<ul>
<li>Players may encounter issues where Runeshards are consumed and the Pit will not be activated. In this scenario, the player will have to repeat the use of Runeshards to activate The Pit.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Affix descriptions use placeholder text</li>
<li>Players that did not open The Pit can receive Stygian Stones on Higher Tiers</li>
<li>Gear drops are not guaranteed 925 Item Power</li>
<li>Timer UI bar can display out of sync with remaining time</li>
<li>Multiplayer drop rates of Masterworking materials are being tuned</li>
