<p>Content creator <a href="https://www.youtube.com/@Rob2628">Rob</a> released a YouTube short, showcasing an insane Sorcerer speed clear. It took him just 27 seconds to clear a Pit Tier 79!</p>



<p>For this speed run, Rob used the <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/lightning-spear-sorcerer-build/">Lightning Spear build</a> Sorcerer build. You can watch his speed clear in the video linked below.</p>

Rob Clears Pit Tier 79 in Just 27 Seconds with Lightning Spear Sorcerer


<p>Here&#8217;s a short and sweet one. We see a player managed to bully a Lair Boss out of their own boss room! </p>



<p>The very Season-7-named <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/Electro_Witch/">Electro_Witch</a> had a bit of a quarrel with Harbinger of Hatred. We&#8217;re not quite sure what transpired between the two, but the Druid managed to push out the big wolf. Meanwhile, their own, smaller werewolves looked on! Perhaps Mephisto&#8217;s lesser form was intimidated by the sheer number of pets on display, and decided <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/Electro_Witch/">Electro_Witch</a> was actually the Alpha. </p>

<p>This isn&#8217;t an isolated incident either, nor is it related to the Harbinger fight or boos room, as <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/KingLeil/">KingLeil</a> confirms that they managed to do the same to the Beast in Ice. </p>

Who’s the Boss Now? Player Locks Out Boss From Encounter Room


<p>One of the longer-lasting issues with Season 8 has been some players getting a few of their earlier season cosmetic rewards removed. We&#8217;ve seen plenty of reports of various items from previous season&#8217;s Battle Passes and even store-bought cosmetics simply disappearing from the Wardrobe. </p>



<p>One of the affected players, <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/ComfortableRelevant1/">ComfortableRelevant1</a>, commented on the matter on the Diablo 4 Reddit recently. That post seems to have gotten some attention, as Blizzard reached out to them and fixed the issue! That&#8217;s not all, however, as they also mentioned that there should be a larger fix coming for everyone affected. </p>

<p>So check your Wardrobes if you had some cosmetics missing, as they may have returned. Otherwise, there may be a larger and officially announced fix in the recently mentioned patch 2.2.2. The patch is also set to bring a fix for the <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/infernal-hordes-visual-bug-fixes-coming-in-next-patch/">Infernal Hordes visual progression bugs</a>.</p>


Players Missing Older Season Cosmetics May Have Gotten a Fix


<p>It seems there were more changes than advertised in the latest patch. The <a class="icy-gtnbrg-link" data-tooltip-type="Boss Power" data-snoid="S08_CollectibleBossPower_004_Varshan" href="#"><span class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip"><img decoding="async" data-tooltip-type="Boss Power" data-snoid="S08_CollectibleBossPower_004_Varshan" class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip-img" src="https://static.icy-veins.com/wp/static/d4/latest/images/icons/2DInventory_S08Powers_Boss_23.webp" alt="Varshan's Life Steal"><span class="tooltip-name" data-item-quality="rare" data-tooltip-type="Boss Power" data-snoid="S08_CollectibleBossPower_004_Varshan">Varshan&#8217;s Life Steal</span></span></a>    Boss Power has been nerfed due to causing some pretty serious technical issues. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How It Worked</h2>



<p>While the Boss Power wasn&#8217;t exactly bugged, there were some interactions with certain abilities that were causing problems. Rogues and Spiritborn had a few builds that used the power, getting some very high numbers (200 billion DoTs and similar).</p>



<p>The combo was with another Boss Power, <a class="icy-gtnbrg-link" data-tooltip-type="Boss Power" data-snoid="S08_CollectibleBossPower_021_Apparition_FleshReaper" href="#"><span class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip"><img decoding="async" data-tooltip-type="Boss Power" data-snoid="S08_CollectibleBossPower_021_Apparition_FleshReaper" class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip-img" src="https://static.icy-veins.com/wp/static/d4/latest/images/icons/2DInventory_S08Powers_Boss_13.webp" alt="Flesh Reaper's Disruption"><span class="tooltip-name" data-item-quality="magic" data-tooltip-type="Boss Power" data-snoid="S08_CollectibleBossPower_021_Apparition_FleshReaper">Flesh Reaper&#8217;s Disruption</span></span></a>, which allows you to trigger the Varshan power constantly. This happens with <a class="icy-gtnbrg-link" href="#"><span class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip"><img decoding="async" data-tooltip-name="Aspect of Accursed Touch" class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip-img" src="https://static.icy-veins.com/wp/static/d4/latest/images/aspects/offensive.webp" alt="Aspect of Accursed Touch"><span class="tooltip-spell-name d4-codex-text">Aspect of Accursed Touch</span></span></a>, making everything Vulnerable, and then Flesh Reaper removing that vulnerability to trigger a stun, which counts as &#8220;activating your main boss power&#8221; for Varshan&#8217;s secondary ability. This means that every single time you hit an enemy, Varshan&#8217;s power activates, creating a large Corruption damage over time effect, which stacks. You can imagine the rest with some insane amounts of DoTs stacking over and over. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Nerf </h2>



<p>It seems that these many, many activations caused players&#8217; games to actually crash, while creating a lot of lag for others. This is the main reason the power was nerfed, not its damage potential. The nerf itself was pretty simple, but also pretty devastating. The Varshan boss power now has an internal cooldown. This means it cannot trigger faster than a certain amount, so it doesn&#8217;t cause server and game issues. </p>



<p>It does seem the nerf was warranted, but it is strange Blizzard did not include it in the patch notes. Spiritborn are particularly affected by this, as it was their best build. And considering the class isn&#8217;t doing so well at the moment, it needed the help! </p>


Varshan Boss Power Stealth-Nerfed in Patch


<p>A player seems to have inadvertently taken out a loan in Diablo 4!</p>



<p><a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/Relative_Yesterday70/">Relative_Yesterday70</a> finds themselves in a strange position, as their Platinum numbers are in the negatives. As you can see below, they seemingly owe Blizzard 1,500 of the premium currency (the equivalent of around 10-15$, depending on bundle). </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What&#8217;s Going On?</h2>



<p>Relative_Yesterday70 didn&#8217;t buy any Platinum and just used the free Platinum they accumulated from the Battle Passes and Reliquaries to buy some armor that was on sale. While it&#8217;s not exactly clear what happened, there are various theories on just how this might have happened. What seems most likely is that the game didn&#8217;t take the sale part of the armor purchases into account, instead calculating the full prices of the cosmetics. </p>



<p>This isn&#8217;t exactly benign either &#8211; presumably Relative_Yesterday70 now can&#8217;t gather more free Platinum, as any new additions will simply &#8220;pay off&#8221; the negative amount! At least Blizzard isn&#8217;t charging them interest. Hopefully, this resolves itself, or it&#8217;s just a simple visual bug, and the next change in Platinum amount resolves it. </p>


Negative Platinum? Player Owes 1,500 Without Buying Any


<p>Adam &#8220;Pezradar&#8221; Fletcher confirmed on X that Season 8 will be slightly shorter than previous seasons. The news was shared on X as part of a broader update <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4-season-9-campfire-chat-slated-for-may-22/">teasing next week&#8217;s Patch 2.3 PTR Campfire Chat</a>.</p>



<p>Fletcher also confirmed that Diablo 4 will return to its standard seasonal cadence with Season 9.</p>

Diablo 4: Season 8 Will Be Shorter, Season 9 Returns to Normal Schedule


<p>In celebration of Global Accessibility Awareness Day 2025, Blizzard has released a behind-the-scenes video that explores how the Diablo 4 team designs and implements accessibility features for players with visual, auditory, and physical needs!</p>

Blizzard Releases New Video Highlighting Accessibility in Diablo IV


<p>A fix for a particularly annoying bug will be coming with the next small patch. </p>



<p>Players have been dealing with this issue in Infernal Hordes since the start of Season 8. The wave counter simply does not update at all, regardless of how many you complete. Luckily it still counts them internally and you do finish when you get to the maximum wave, but unless you&#8217;re counting yourself, you won&#8217;t know which wave you&#8217;re currently on. </p>



<p>Luckily, there&#8217;s a fix coming, as Director of Social &amp; Content Marketing Adam Fletcher announced:</p>

Infernal Hordes Visual Bug Fixes Coming in Next Patch


<p>There&#8217;s a new fix in for the season, as players were getting a spam notification on seasonal quest completion. The issue has now been fixed. </p>
