Blizzard has just announced that the Amazon will be joining the lineup of classes in Diablo 4 in 2027 as part of a class pack.
The Amazon will focus on four gameplay archetypes: Champion, Skirmisher, Ranger, and Commander. The javelin will make a return as a new weapon type used by the Amazon, together with bows.

The Amazon Enters the Battle in 2027
The Amazon is coming to Diablo IV in the first half of 2027. She hails from the island of Skovos, revealed for the first time in Diablo IV in Lord of Hatred.
Her return preserves the disciplined, athletic, and highly trained warrior fantasy players remember while reimagining the class for Diablo IV. Across four gameplay archetypes—Champion, Skirmisher, Ranger, and Commander—the Amazon can wield the returning bow and javelin, which introduces an entirely new weapon type to Diablo IV.
