<p><a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/">Diablo 4</a> just dropped another WoW crossover collaboration, this time bringing over the <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/wow/news/new-void-tier-2-recolors-revealed-in-wow-midnight-patch-12-0-5/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">iconic Tier 2 sets from Blackwing Lair</a>. At the time of this post, they are available in the shop right now, so if you love both D4 and WoW, now&#8217;s your chance!</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Warcraft Comes to Sanctuary&#8230;Again!</h2>



<p>We didn&#8217;t expect to get another Blizzard crossover for Diablo 4 so soon. Especially after <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4-x-doom-collab-brings-free-items-and-iconic-slayer-gear/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">the Doom crossover</a> just left the shop right before <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/lord-of-hatred-overview/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Lord of Hatred</a> came out. This marks the second time that Warcraft has made an appearance in Diablo 4, with the first round bringing some of the <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/impressive-warcraft-themed-cosmetic-sets-in-diablo-4-shop/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">iconic Warcraft heroes and villains as armor sets for the various classes</a>.</p>



<p>Blizzard is continuing to grab players with yet another wave of nostalgia with Tier 2 sets for:</p>

<li>Judgment Armor (Paladin)</li>



<li>Nemesis Raiment (Warlock)</li>



<li>Battlegear of Wrath (Barbarian)</li>



<li>The Ten Storms (Spiritborn)</li>

<p>Each set will set you back a hearty sum of 2,800 Platinum, otherwise 25$. If you want all the armors in a bundle, it will cost you 5,700 Platinum, aka $50. That&#8217;s the same price as buying Diablo 4&#8217;s base game.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">More Warcraft Legends in Diablo 4</h2>

<p>But that&#8217;s not all! Aside from the class armor sets, there are, of course, new mounts, pets, and weapons you can grab from the store as well. The Armaments of Azeroth also packs a bunch of iconic weapons, including: Shadowmourne, Dragonwrath, Val&#8217;anyr, Thori&#8217;dal, &amp; The Fangs of the Father.</p>



<p>There are also two pets and mounts you can grab: Mmrr&#8217;ael, an angelic Murlock, or a Ragnaros Pet. Plus, there&#8217;s an Icebound Frostbrood Vanquisher &amp; the Reigns of the Raven Lord.</p>



<p>Lastly, there&#8217;s the Lord of Outland Bundle, which has a bunch of iconic items from the Burning Crusade, such as the Skull of Gul&#8217;dan or the Bulwark of Azzinoth. All ranging around 2000 or more Platinum.</p>



<p>But in case you don&#8217;t want to drop a small fortune on the shop, there&#8217;s also a <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4-relics-of-azeroth-reliquary-is-the-1500-platinum-upgrade-worth-it/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Relics of Azeroth Reliquary</a> that dropped alongside it, which you can find in a separate Reliquary section.</p>

Limitless Rage Aspect Temporarily Disabled in Diablo 4


<p>A new limited-time crossover event has landed in <em>Diablo 4</em>, bringing <em>World of Warcraft</em> into Sanctuary through the <strong><a href="https://diablo4.blizzard.com/en-us/season">Relics of Azeroth Reliquary</a></strong>. If you want everything it offers, it will cost you <strong>1500 Platinum</strong> to unlock the Premium track. </p>

<p>Blizzard is leaning into nostalgia here. The Relics of Azeroth event introduces Warcraft-themed cosmetics that you can earn just by paying and playing. </p>



<p>For <strong>1500 Platinum</strong>, you unlock:</p>

<li>Exclusive Warcraft-themed cosmetics</li>



<li>A final completion reward: <strong>Hakkar the Soulflayer pet</strong></li>
</ul>



<p>That pet is the headline item and clearly aimed at longtime Warcraft players. It is a strong nostalgia play and likely the main reason players will upgrade.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Is the Diablo 4 Relics of Azeroth Reliquary Worth It?</h2>



<p>This comes down to how much you value cosmetics.</p>



<p>There is no power tied to the Reliquary. It is purely visual. If you are already invested in Diablo 4’s seasonal grind and like Warcraft, this is an easy pickup.</p>



<p>If you don&#8217;t feel like paying.  You can pick up two free cosmetics tied to the event in the shop.  </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Limited-Time Pressure</h2>



<p>Like most crossover events, this will not stick around forever. If you want the full set of rewards, especially Hakkar, you need to commit during the event window.</p>



<p>Expect this to drive engagement, especially with players who grew up on Warcraft and now live in Diablo’s endgame.</p>

<p>Blizzard has pushed <strong>Hotfix 4 for Diablo 4 Patch 3.0.1</strong>, targeting a few high-impact issues affecting endgame runs, exploits, and quest progression. This is a small update, but it hits some important pain points.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Pit and Tower Portal Removed</h2>



<p>One change that players complained about has been resolved. The removal of the exit portal after completing a <strong>Pit or Tower run</strong>.</p>



<p>Blizzard originally added this as a quality-of-life feature, but it clearly didn’t land the way they intended. Players would accidentally click the portal while picking up loot and prematurely exit their runs.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Infinite Nemesis Farming Fixed</h2>



<p>A major exploit has been shut down.</p>



<p>Players were able to <strong>infinitely farm Nemesis boss lairs</strong> by grouping and swapping difficulties. That loop is now fixed, closing off a pretty significant source of unintended loot and progression abuse.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Quest Progression Bug Resolved</h3>



<p>The campaign quest <strong>“The Soil, The Seed, The Fruit”</strong> could break if multiple players interacted with chains at the same time.</p>



<p>That issue has now been fixed, so co-op players shouldn’t get blocked anymore.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Stability Improvements</h2>



<p>As expected, Blizzard also included <strong>general stability improvements</strong>, though no specifics were given.</p>

Diablo 4 Hotfix 4 Fixes Infinite Farming Exploit


<p>Tiny lore spoiler warning. The <strong>Diablo 4 Covetous Shen Easter egg</strong> might be hiding in plain sight, and it starts with a simple fishing quest. Sometimes the best Diablo content isn’t the boss fights. It’s the weird side quests you almost ignore.</p>



<p>Case in point: the fishing quest line with <strong>Shi Yugong</strong>.</p>



<p>On the surface, it’s simple. Catch fish, help an old man recover his memory, track down the Red-Eyed Fish. Done.</p>



<p>But then you start noticing things.</p>

<p>Because that’s exactly how <strong>Covetous Shen</strong> was written in <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d3/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Diablo 3</a>.</p>



<p>Shen was introduced in Diablo 3… stuck in a barrel.</p>



<p>Shi Yugong?</p>



<p>Also ends up in a barrel. A strong clue this <strong>Diablo 4 Covetous Shen Easter egg</strong> is intentional.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Voice Connection?</h2>



<p>Shen was voiced by <strong>James Hong</strong>, one of the most recognizable voices in gaming.</p>



<p>There’s no official confirmation yet, but players are already noticing the similarity. It’s close enough to raise eyebrows.  MobyGames also lists <strong>James Hong</strong> as providing <a href="https://www.mobygames.com/person/15128/james-hong/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">“additional voices” in Diablo IV</a>, adding another layer to the Shi Yugong and Shen connection.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">A Side Quest You Shouldn&#8217;t Skip</h2>



<p>This is why you don’t skip side quests.</p>



<p>Because sometimes, between the XP and loot, you get something better:</p>



<p>A hidden throwback, a bit of lore, and a reminder that Diablo still knows how to surprise you. Well done Blizzard. </p>

Blizzard Disables Spiritborn’s Trampled Under Foot Variant in Diablo 4


<p>For serious Diablo 4 players, including streamers, YouTubers, and build writers, the first two days since Lord of Hatred launched have been a marathon. During this time, these trailblazers have been busy figuring out how to get the most out of all the new features, systems and mechanics. The question they’ve been asked the most, however, is <strong>what’s the best way to level up fast?</strong></p>



<p>The answer to that question is starting to take shape. There are a number of conflicting opinions, and a perfectly optimized, fully tested solution will take time to solidify, but 48 hours after launch, this is what we know so far.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Finish the Campaign</strong></h2>



<p>This will be obvious to most, but not to all players. If your goal is to level fast, you must focus on completing the <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4-story-recap-the-only-parts-that-matter/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">main story</a> first. Don’t run Helltides, don’t do side quests, and don’t spend too much time messing around with your gear. Just set the difficulty level to Normal and get busy finishing your fight against Mephisto.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>War Plans</strong></h2>



<p>The main reason for finishing the campaign as soon as possible is that it unlocks War Plans. Once available, this new endgame system is categorically the best way to continue leveling all the way to Paragon 300. For each activity you do, you will now gain XP not just from the activity itself — like Helltides, the Pit or The Undercity — but from completing your list of activities, and the XP from completing a War Plan is massive!</p>



<p>The simple suggestion of, “do War Plans…then do more War Plans,” is probably sufficient for most players, but for those seeking to level as efficiently as possible, there are a number of further choices and systems to consider.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Choosing the Best Activities</strong></h2>



<p>When starting a fresh <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4-lord-of-hatred-war-plans-explained/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">War Plan</a>, you’ll be given a random set of activities to choose from. You can just select your path through that tree and go on your way, but you can also choose to reject that plan and have another one presented to you. You may wish to do this if your focus is XP, because the selection of activities you have in your War Plan is one of the most important factors to consider for the powerleveling player.</p>



<p>Choosing a new plan costs one <strong>Mark of El’druin</strong>. You have a limit of three of this new currency, but you earn a new one every time you complete a War Plan, so don’t be afraid to reroll your plans in search of optimal activities.</p>

<p><strong>The best activity for leveling is Helltides.</strong></p>



<p>Among the Diablo community, there are currently conflicting views on what the next best activities are, but Helltides is the unanimous front-runner when it comes to leveling.</p>



<p>Why?</p>



<p>You kill lots of monsters — you get XP.</p>



<p>You open the chests — you get XP.</p>



<p>You almost certainly earn some Grim Favors and progress toward earning a Whisper Cache — which gives you XP.</p>



<p>You progress toward completing your War Plan — which gives XP.</p>



<p>This is all great, but it’s when you begin leveling up your Helltide Activity Tree that things can start getting really out of hand…in a good way.</p>



<p>There are three modifiers you should select first, if speedy leveling is your aim:</p>



<p><strong>Hellmouth</strong> will cause Hellwyrms to spew out Chaos Rifts, Maggots or Bloodseekers. What you want is Maggots — which burst out Experience Orbs when slain.</p>



<p><strong>Writhe and Rot</strong> further upgrades Hellmouth, ensuring you always get those juicy Maggots!</p>



<p><strong>Wretched Vermin</strong> is on another branch of the tree, but it’s worth picking up early because the Demonic Rats it causes to frequently attack you will drop a lot of Aberrant Cinders, which will allow you to finish your Helltide quickly, so you can move on to your next activity, which will hopefully also be Helltides.</p>

<p>Obviously, you won’t always get an ideal War Plan playlist. When choosing between all the other activities, the next best option is The Undercity. This is a good option because you can target farm useful items such as charms and seals for your talisman, but mostly, because it’s fast.</p>



<p>If you’re only interested in XP, The Undercity can be very fast. Just run through each level, kill the boss at the end, and you’re done. This will progress your War Plan and your Undercity modifier tree and shouldn’t take more than a couple of minutes. No explosion of loot at the end, but efficient for leveling.</p>



<p>Next of note is The Tree of Whispers. You only need two points invested in its activity tree to grab the <strong>Wisdom of Whispers</strong> modifier. This will give you 50% more experience orbs in every single Whisper Cache you open.</p>



<p>In terms of XP, none of the other activities really stand out at this point. As such, if you have no other choice, pick the one you can complete the fastest, so you can get back to Helltides, The Undercity or farming Grim Favors for The Tree of Whispers.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Other Considerations</strong></h2>



<p>If efficient leveling is the name of your game, here’s what you want to do:</p>



<p><strong>Move Fast.</strong></p>

Nothing slows progress like losing half your cinders, or failing an Undercity run. Which leads to the third golden rule…</p>

Why Lord of Hatred’s Fastest Levelers Reroll Their War Plans on Day One


<p>Blizzard is moving toward full co-op support for War Plans, with an early outline now confirmed by a Community Manager. The update is expected around <strong>Season 14</strong>, and it directly targets one of the biggest complaints since the system launched: party play feels limited and unrewarding.</p>



<p>Right now, helping a friend through their War Plan node is inconsistent. Even after a recent hotfix increased progression rewards to 100% and improved caches, players are still running into core issues. Especially around coordination and shared progress.</p>

        <p>Along with the notes from the Hotfix, we wanted to share that there are plans for Warplans updates that attend to co-op/party play. Just as a heads up, timing for this would be around Season 14. Since details are still being sorted out, this isn’t final, but it’ll generally work like this:</p>

<p>The reaction is split, but leaning positive.</p>



<p>Some players argue co-op should be <strong>more rewarding than solo play</strong>, especially given the effort required to organize groups.</p>

Diablo 4 War Plans Co-Op Is Coming in Season 14


<p>Less than a day after<a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/lord-of-hatred-overview/"> <em>Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred</em></a> launched, <strong>Torment 12 has already been cleared</strong>. </p>



<p>That didn&#8217;t take long. </p>



<p><a href="https://www.twitch.tv/mekuna/clip/PlayfulSpoopyDugongPhilosoraptor-y_91SUdPCYd8vWd4" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Streamer Mekuna</a> pushed through the new top difficulty in roughly <strong>17 hours</strong>, running a Sorcerer using his <strong>Shockuna &#8211; Mekuna&#8217;s Static Field Sorcerer</strong>.  </p>



<p>For something tied to the highest end of progression, that’s fast.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Diablo 4 Torment 12 Cleared — Not Just the Limit</h2>



<p><strong>Torment 12</strong> is currently the highest visible difficulty tier, but it’s not the full ceiling. With the<a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/war-plans-overview/"> new War Plans system,</a> players can push things even further by increasing monster power beyond the base tiers.</p>



<p>So while <strong>Torment 12</strong> is already down, the system itself can still scale higher depending on how far players want to go.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Most Players Aren’t Even There Yet</h2>



<p>Diablo 4 Torment 12 cleared in under a day is not something many players expected this early. What makes this stand out is the timing. Some players are in a league of their own. Most of us are still working through the campaign, getting our builds online, and figuring out the new systems, while Mekuna is already done <strong>Torment 12</strong>.</p>



<p>That gap isn’t unusual, but seeing it happen this quickly puts it into perspective. This kind of clear sits at the very top end of the game. It’s optimized, fast, and built around knowing exactly what to do from the start.</p>



<p>For everyone else, progression is going to look very different. Slower, more methodical, and a lot less about racing to the finish line. If you’re still working your way through the season, that’s completely normal.</p>
