Some Diablo 4 players who recently picked up the Vessel of Hatred Deluxe Edition are left really confused. In a recent Reddit post, a player said they never received the battle pass token that was supposed to be a part of the bundle, and their Reliquaries are still locked too.
Battle Pass Tokens Do Not Exit Anymore
Last season, so season 8, Blizzard completely changes how the Battle Pass system worked. It was replaced with the new Reliquary system. With that change, battle pass tokens were removed entirely as well. Instead, players who had leftover tokens were supposed to get a certain amount of Platinum. It was around the equivalent to the cost of a pass.
Theoretically, if you are buying the Deluxe Edition now, your “Battle Pass token” reward should be a Reliquary Token instead. But in the Reddit post, the player did not get any token, any Platinum, or even Reliquary access.
What Is Actually Happening
People in another similar Reddit post pointed out that digital rewards can take up to 14 days to be delivered. This is according to Blizzard’s Support responses on this exact issue. That is possibly due to payment verification systems made to avoid abuse (like buying, claiming, then refunding stuff).
Others reported similar experiences, with one player saying they received everything except the token.
According to Blizzard’s official posts, buying the deluxe edition of Vessel of Hatred should reward you with a Reliquary Token.
If it indeed just takes 14 days to appear in game for safety reasons, you might just have to wait. We did not find anyone in the comments of either Reddit posts that ended up getting their Token after 14 days, so not real way to confirm this.
What Should You Do if You Did Not Receive Yours?
If you bought the Vessel of Hatred Deluxe Edition (or Ultimate Edition) and do not see your rewards, here is what we recommend:
- Wait up to 14 days, since Blizzard’s support will most likely tell you to do that if you contact them earlier.
- If you still did not get anything after 14 days, contact the support.
- Make sure to check your Platinum balance, you may actually got some currency instead of a Token.
- Also go check your reliquary, and see if you do not have the option to unlock them manually. It can happen that the Token uses itself automatically, but you still have to manually unlock all the different Reliquaries.
It is understandable that players feel scammed, especially when buying bundles that remain sort of blurry about how the rewards can be obtained/claimed. If you have this issue, you are definitely not alone. An updated shop description adding the 14 days waiting time or direct details on how the Reliquary Tokens work would definitely help.
