A recent Reddit thread was shared on the Diablo IV Sub-Reddit. It was talking about how currently, there is no real way to know when one of your Aspects has an upgrade available. The thread not only exposed the issue, but also came up with a really cool idea on how to make it better!
Why not add an icon to our equipped gear? Then you know when a better version of the Aspect is available in our Codex of Power?
What Is the Current Problem
Right now, the only way to check if one of your Aspects has a higher roll in your Codex is to either check inside your Codex and compare, or go to the Occultist or Blacksmith to check. But that also means spending a good 15 minutes where you have to go through your gear piece by piece. It is slow, a bit clunky, and easy to forget unless you are constantly tracking every Aspect you have unlocked.
You probably already walked around with a low Aspect roll on an item that you did not replace since a long time without noticing it!
Here Is What the Reddit Suggested
The idea is rather simple! All we would need is an icon that will notify you when there is a higher version of this Aspect in your Codex of Power. This way we can keep our gear updated without having to check piece by piece all the time.
A few other players joined in the discussion. Some pointed out that the Blacksmith already gives a small clue. However, you have to hover over your gear one by one in your inventory. It should show when a higher Aspect is available in your Codex. But this only applies to items in your bag, and sadly not the ones you have equipped.
Having an actual icon that tells you when an equipped Aspect has been upgraded in the Codex would definitely be one of the best Quality-of-Life additions!
